This Property was purchased by Grandfather in the 70s and then was passed to my Mother. In 2013 I decided to live life differently and start from the ground up building with natural materials and found materials. At that time I was fortunate enough to have the land passed to me and I started building a home for myself and to be close to my mothers home nearby. Learn more about this land:One can expect a wonderful wilderness experience at Earthganic Farm’s riverside camping. The path down to the sites is drivable in a truck, SUV, or van. There’s always the option to park up at the house and walk down (it’s a ten minute walk from the house to the river) and if you let us know ahead of time, we can bring your camping stuff down for you. We have two single kayaks that we rent for $15/day and you can put them in right on property and kayak up and down the river. There are walking/dirt biking trails through pine forest and nice hardwoods down by the river. The brave can take dips in the river. Just down the street there is a boat access ramp for canoes, kayaks, and flat bottom boats.

It is a small space with nothing but outlets and a small refrigerator. You will need to bring all of your essentials. Pillows/Sheets/Linens/towels are not provided. The bath house is steps away. You will need towels/rags/soap/toilet paper and all essentials. It is merely a toilet, sink, and shower.
There is a Weber charcoal grill available on site. Bring your essentials.

FREE FIREWOOD FOR LIMITED TIME: I have more split oak firewood than I know what to do with. While it lasts, campers can take as much as they need for free. The wood is piled at the site.
Our homestead is home to our family, chickens, and a livestock guardian dog.
We also have a small orchard and a garden.
Most of our 12+ acres are wooded and our property backs up to thousands of acres of public forest land owned by Clemson University. A trail connects our backyard to the main network of hiking/mountain biking trails in Clemson Forest. For those familiar with the forest, our property is in the vicinity of Wildcat Technical, Wounded Road, and Chainbreaker trails.
As private and wooded as our property is, we are only 10-15 minutes from downtown Clemson and less than 10 minutes from the small towns of Central and Six Mile. Lakes Hartwell and Keowee are also short drives.
We currently offer a single campsite, which can accommodate several tents or a camper van. Our campsite features a composting toilet outhouse, and water is available from spigots at our house. Though fairly close to our house, the campsite has a very private feel due to being completely surrounded by a hardwood forest.

Loved our stay at the Bend. It was very quiet & private. No issue with noise or disturbance (even on a Saturday evening). Our hosts were extremely quick and responsive and wanted to ensure our stay went well (which it did). Fun to be camping on the river, but still just a few minutes to downtown Greenville. We camped out of our truck , campsites for tents were a a very short walk from parking. Flat sites and very quiet. Two super friendly dogs greeted us when arriving. Host was quick to respond to any questions. Would happily stay here again! Only a 15 min drive to Clemson and a short drive to any and all things nature.

Got stuck in Atlanta traffic on our way up so we were unable to set up our tent. It was so nice to have the bunkhouse with a forced air ac system when we got back from our event. We loved having a full bathroom and the views (and sounds) were incredible. We enjoyed our short time there immensely. Highly recommend. *Apple Maps had trouble with directions so maybe try a different navigation

Weekend Trip to 3 Creeks Camp and Nature Preserve
Damon was a nice host that offered assistance when needed. I stayed in the Creek Campsite and it was a joy! The property is beautiful and he has a web that was nice to sit on and look at the stars. Easy to navigate in and out of the site (even with a little sedan). Only stayed for one night, but it just so happened to be a night full of music and a light show.

This is the second time going to Camp Clatworthy and it was just as serene as last time. Plenty of firewood on hand, a clean primitive site, and one heck of a view. Though I wasn't as successful as last time, Lake Legion is a perfect spot to bass fish. I recommend bringing a kayak or canoe and go explore it.

We booked the hillside campsite at the last minute as we were driving south and were so impressed with the property! It was quiet, secluded and perfect for our overland rig. There was even a clean and well built pit toilet close by. We explored all the other campsites by he river and were blown away! John has created the perfect family spot and thought of everything! Highly recommend!

The camp was large and very private. The tent site had room for a large tent. The outhouse was clean and very usable. There is. access to the trails directly from the camp. The surrounding background noise is very low, but if you are sensitive, a battery operated fan would probably cover the sound.(I always wonder about the noise level).
This is one of the best campsites ever.

Directions to the site were clear. I had a nice time solo camping. John was very friendly and delivered firewood right to the pit. The site was big and well kept. You cant get in the water from the Riverbank site, but there are a couple of boat ramps that you can use. I was the only one out camping so it was extra quiet and peaceful. On my last morning I discovered my truck battery was dead. Luckily I caught John in time before he left for work and he gave me a jump. Nice guy. I will be back.

Very private camping area which is exactly what I am looking for. Plenty of wood for the campfire which makes me want to return since that has been a problem at other places. Just have to be aware of the slight incline at the campsite which makes it interesting while trying to sleep but that is not a deterrent for me.
