We are located on 11 acres. Wooded areas, hiking trails on-site. Perfect place to watch for deer and other animals including our 8 on-leash dogs! It is a train lover's dream because we are close to the tracks and enjoy watching the train come and go so much so that the conductor toots and waves to us!! The Santee State Park has many water activities, picnic areas, and hiking trails. There are several golf courses nearby, and a local restaurant/bar within walking distance which often offers trivia, karaoke, pool tables, and live music. Great camping at Too Many Oaks. I stayed there as a stop off for one night on the way to my final destination and it was perfect. Michael is an excellent host who has wonderful tree filled property with nice sites. Table, chairs, fire pit and firewood at the ready, with flat spots and plenty of space to enjoy. There is also a nice old cabin that has running water and a few amenities that help make camping life a little easier, it’s a nice touch to a cool site.

It so peaceful out there. With the beautiful stars above you and the lights hanging on the oak tree. My boyfriend and I enjoyed swinging so much. We both felt like kids again. Even our husky enjoyed himself. We walked the trails . We even met Tom and he is an awesome guy . Can't wait to come back and see all he's adding.

In the dictionary under” Hipcamp” is Michael’s property! He went above and beyond to help me enjoy my stay. The site was flat, quiet and the stars lit up in the night sky. The old house gave it unique charm. I stopped here on my way to the Florida Keys and would for sure stop here again!

Great spot, secluded within a wooded area. Nice fire ring. It would be nice to have some signage for self check in. Hipcampers like myself enjoy the self sufficiency check ins if possible. Otherwise a nice little location to camp for the night while traveling.

I absolutely had a wonderful time camping at Debra’s place. She was so kind and welcoming. You really don’t meet people that nice anymore. I am bikepacking the Palmetto Trail and her place was the perfect stop along my route. It’s also a short walk to a bar and grill, bonus! Would recommend to anyone looking to primitive camp. Very private too! She also runs a shuttle service for anyone interested!

Bring your boots because farms can be muddy! The animals on the farm are well cared for, more like pets and family. It is South Carolina swamp area so be prepared. Plenty of area for fun for the kiddos. The guide was very well constructed. The trails were great, I just wish there was about 7 miles of them. If you forget milk and such, Dollar General or Food Lion is just down the road. The cleanliness was perfect for me (the microbiologist)! The accommodations were a little tight. All in all I would highly recommend this site to others!

We only spent one night coming through to visit Congaree National Park. We loved the spot Michael picked out for us. There was wood all set up for us in the fire pit ready to light when we drove in. Also it was great to be able to use the little cabins facilities for the bathroom! Thanks for a great stay a bit chilly but still was an adventure. Would definitely stay there again if in this area.

This was a great spot to stop for a night when i was looking for a safe and quiet place. The trees are beautiful and the lights are a nice touch. Michael was not on site but was very communicative and helpful and very generous with how he shared his space.

We really enjoyed staying at Debra's. They let us put our tent up back in the thick stand of trees. It was nice and private and we even were able to park our RAV4 back there. They were super hospitable. We will definitely stay there again next time we go through!
