Located east of Fayetteville near exit 49 of I-95, is our lovely, quiet, and secluded 17 acre tract of Southern Yellow pines that we purchased 11 years ago. Since we love camping so much we decided to pay it forward and carve out 15 campsites for other campers to enjoy. Most of our campsites are gravel and level. We have a couple of sites that are grass for tenters. We have only site 1 that has full hookups. All the other sites are boondocking.

CEDAR-CROSS CAMP (Lake Marion)

15 sites · RVs8 acres · Russellville, Berkeley
CAMPING AT LAKE MARION (SOUTHSIDE) Only ½ mile away from South Carolina’s largest lake! FISHING Camping at Lake Marion comes with a lot of perks, such as a phenomenal fishing opportunity. Since angling is not just about catching the biggest fish, take the chance to teach your budding fishermen the virtue of patience by the shores of Lake Marion. Some of the fish you’ll likely encounter include striped bass, channel catfish, and black crappie. BOATING Should fishing sound interesting, wait until you hear about the boating opportunities. Lake Marion and the neighboring Lake Moultrie are part of a navigable inland channel leading to Charleston from Columbia. If you’re feeling eager to boat down to Charleston, you’ll get to pass through the Pinopolis Dam and Lock, which at 75-foot in height, is the largest single-step lock in North America. HIKING While camping in a rental motorhome at Lake Marion, fun isn’t only limited to the water. The low country in South Carolina is relatively flat, so hiking through the countryside is fairly easy. The massive Santee National Wildlife Refuge has a healthy wildlife population consisting of alligators, waterfowl, and the Springflyer Dragonfly. It is also one of the largest wetlands supporting migratory birds in Eastern USA. HIKING IN HISTORIC CHARLESTON The great Historic City of Charleston is very close. Hike the Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge - one of Charleston’s most iconic landmarks. After trekking the bridge, head over to downtown Charleston for a culinary delight tour of world-renown restaurants known only to Charleston. After eating to your heart’s content, walk and tour the largest historic district in the country. Tour beautiful historic architecture, gardens and mansions - only in Charleston! BEACH FUN Tucked in between two of South Carolina’s largest cities, you’ll be spoilt for choice over the number of attractions found around the lake. Since Charleston is just a short drive away, be sure to drop by for a chance to sample the town’s best beaches - Isle of Palm or Folly Beach. When packing your RV rental, don’t forget to throw in some sunscreen lotion. If Folly Beach is your beach of choice, indulge in a self-guided tour to the edge of the island, which is locally referred to as “The Edge of America." Don’t forget a camera as the Morris Island Lighthouse is insta-worthy. If time allows it, make your way to the end of East Ashley Avenue for some snaps of the striking street graffiti.

JCO Campground at Lee Baysden Pond

22 sites · Lodging, RVs, Tents86 acres · Chinquapin, Duplin
*Oct 21, 23 3rd Annual Halloween Bash** Trunk or Treat, Pumpkin Carving Contest, Hot dog roast, firepits, music, and family fun. The pond was originally much smaller and a mill pond in the 1920's and features a long dam along one side. It is a 22 acre lake, 2 smaller ponds and surrounded by woods, swamp, and fields, a total of 90 acres. The Lee Baysden Pond was originally owned by Mr. Lee Baysden himself and first opened for fishing in 1956. The store/office is the original detached kitchen from his homeplace, which is the white house just up the street. We still use this today and it has Mr. Lee Baysden's handwriting in the store that states opened June 1956. The pond was owned and fished until the late 1990's. A hurricane damaged the dam and land was sold sometime after. The next owner dug the pond into the lake it is today and fixed the dam. It was deemed private and no fishing was permitted during this time frame. In 2020 My husband Tyler, and I decided to buy the Pond when we saw the signs up for sale. It was way overgrown and covered in duck weed, but we saw the potential and love for the lake in our community. We could not see it developed off into housing. We created JCO, Juniper Creek Outfitters and Guide Service, fall 2020 and began to restore the lake and land to better than ever! We also have our first Glamping A-Frame cabin available. We have had several community events hosting fishing tournaments, fireworks, music, and food trucks. Our camp office/store is opened most weekends and fishing passes available 7 days a week online from sunrise-dark. Our lake features fishing for Bass, Crappie, Bream, Catfish, Bowfin, varieties of Panfish, and more. Check out our Facebook page (Juniper Creek Outfitters and Guide Service) for all the latest news and catches! We are continually trying to make JCO and Lee Baysden Pond a great place in our community for friends and families! Enjoy the great outdoors unplugging from all the daily devices of reality. Enjoy bird watching for ducks, geese, heron, osprey or occasional eagle, owls, turkey, and more. We now have a lake Kitty that adopted us and is now part of the team. Her name is "Tail", named by our 4 year old, Beckham. You may see Tail roaming around by the office or patrolling the campground as lake security. Beckham and our new baby girl Atley will be with us most days in office or helping to check you in to your sites! Nine RV sites- #1, 2, 6, 7, 8 are 30/50 amp, water hookups, fire pit, and waterfront. Sites #3, 4, 5, 9 are 30 amp Only, water hookups, firepit and waterfront. Check out descriptions and pictures of each site at booking. EightTent sites (More on the way)- Sites #1-4 are Sunset Cove primitive Sites and #5 and 6 are Group bigger sites side by side. Little Pond site all by itself on private pond off the main lake. Sawmill Creek Tent site right off backside of the dam. One Couples Glamping A-frame Cabin complete with add on extras to make your stay more special. Includes Canoe and fishing passes.

North 40

10 sites · RVs, Tents57 acres · Norwood, Stanly
Learn more about this land:In this 40 acre track there are 2 hay fields, pasture, and forrest. From any area you camp🏕 the pond🏞, with fish, is in walking distance, so is a beautiful clear stream. ****Did I mention that this stream empties into Lake Tillary, yep, that is right. We are within walking distance to Lake Tillary and less than 5 mins to the boat landing. You may bring your boat and park it here while you camp. SPECIAL NOTE: There are animals here that you may pet once you have been properly introduced. You may bring your pets as long as they are vaccinated and behaved. If they fight with other animals or chase chickens or ducks you may want to test this upon your arrival. Unfortunately, you must keep them on leash at all times. Our County does have a leash law, and should property🌱🌹🌻🚜🚗📬🗑or animals🦌🐂🐏🐐🐰🦃🦆 be damaged or harmed you will be held responsible. For example, if your dog kills a chicken, you buy the chicken🐓🐔🐥. If they harm a horse🐎 or donkey🐴, you are responsible for ALL vet fees. Also, be aware we have coyotes, osprey, hawks, as any rural area does. Small animals must be suprevised. We are not responsible for acts of nature. The barn is beautiful and you are welcome to take photos, however, you are NOT permitted in the barn without supervision. Absolutley NO smoking or fire near the barn. It is over 100 years old and built by my great grand family and is irreplaceable. SPECIAL FEATURE: As I am just beginning the camp on site experience I offer several options and additional services. #1. Some find out after arriving that I teach NC Concealed Carry Handgun Classes. If you wish to participate in a class, it is preferred that you register before the day of the class. I will post classes on this site so that campers will know there will be shooting in the late afternoon. Some chose to camp on other weekends, some choose to go out to eat during those times, and some don't mind either way. #2. I am also much in favor of work for camp site. Some have asked to do clean up or other small jobs for the priviledge to camp. So far this has worked out well, with one exception. Please do not accept an offer to take on a task that you do not know how to do. Example, pulling weeds or trimming if you do not know what a weed verses flower looks like. LOL #3. There is plenty of firewood, see photos, here laying around and some trees down that will make great firewood (bring your own cutting tools.) We also sell firewood by the bundle. #4. Being a camper here gives you the privilege of fresh veggies and fruits that are in season, as well as fresh free range eggs. MAJOR POINT: You must remember this is a working farm and our duties and responsibilities for the farm come first. No! the roosters don't have an off button, neither does the jacka... donkey! When it is hay cutting time, we will cut hay. If you want to hike the property, feel free, know the boundaries and bring a machete to cut your way by the creek/stream in some areas. We have thistle trees and briars, you are welcome to cut all you wish as you go. There are spiders, bugs, and snakes etc. Black snakes, king snakes, runners, and whip snakes belong here and we ask that you do not kill them. Copperheads are here as qell and if you see one, come get me and I will dispatch it for you. .
