20 Acre Homestead off a one-lane gravel road. Only a few homes on this road and a 50 acre crop field across the road from homestead. We love to meet new people and introduce our animals and teach about animal care and farm stuff. Hosted by a homeschooling, homesteading family. LGBTQ and 2A friendly host/site. Full hookups (elec, water, septic). Cell signal is strong enough here for cellular-based internet. LOCATION: Minutes from public access to Black River, 20min to Georgetown city, Andrews or Hemingway; 30min to Kingstree; 45min to Litchfield beach, Pawleys Island, Florence, Conway, Murrells Inlet... Lots of parks, forests and Wildlife Management Areas within a 1hr drive including Lynches River and Huntington Beach State Park, Woods Bay State Park and Tom Yawkey Wildlife Preserve. Closer places to visit including Lake City (home of ArtFest) and Brookgreen Gardens PLUS numerous Parks, WMA and hunting preserves (Francis Marion National Forest, Waccamaw National Wildlife Refuge, Peedee Station, Hell Hole Bay, Wee Tee Forest, Black Cypress Reserve, Backwoods Hunt Club, and more).CAMPER/RV SITE. Working a contract job or passing thru? This might be your place to pause. Full hookups (elec, water, septic, Wi-Fi). Park your camper, and spend some time with goats, chickens, farm cats and more while disconnecting from the busy modern world. You will have access to the area immediately around the parking camper site and space to park 1 vehicle right next to your rig. Hosted by a homeschooling, homesteading family. LGBTQ and 2A friendly host/site (there's a hunt club nearby). This RV/campsite is simple, and on the edge of our driveway. It’s a back-in, forward-out parking spot. Hard-packed soil and minimal leveling needed. Intended for 1 week to 6 week stays. PLEASE NOTE: This site is best for RVs or Schoolies, or campers 28 feet or SHORTER (car camping, pop-up campers and truckbed campers are OK). Camper parking spot is on the edge of a private family homestead off a rural, gravel road. 50AMP or 30AMP plugs available. I was not able to camp at Elizabeth's for transportation reasons but the booking was easy and Elizabeth was great to work with. I am hoping for another chance to book with her in the future

A nice little homestead.

I had the pleasure of Camping at Compass Rose for 4 nights in mid October 2024. My host, Elizabeth, contacted me after accepting my registration request and kept me well informed prior to my trip. On the day of my arrival, she met me as I entered her property to guide me to my campsite and provided assistance to help me back into the perfect level spot. She gave me a quick tour to point out the electrical connection, water source and a connection to the septic tank should I need it, The property is a nice mixture of woods and grass pasture with several apple trees scattered about the landscape. The view of the night sky offers plenty of opportunity for unobstructed stargazing while laying in the cool grass. There are chickens, goats, miniature and full size horses on the property and a very friendly and curious cat that had to take peek into my camper. I hope to visit the Compass Rose again in the future if I travel to the area again.

Not only is the farm beautiful and peaceful, but Beth is a blessing! She's very knowledgeable and has been such a huge help! I couldn't ask for a more wonderful place to stay! Highly recommend!⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
