I live here full time, with two cats & 5 chickens whom are all free range. I live here in a double wide by myself, two outdoor cats. Deer, fox, rabbits, hawks and the like are common visitors. This is brand new to me, lots of improvements to be made in the future to make a guests stay even better, so for right now it’s bare bones. Can accommodate tents or certain campers. No pump out, no electricity or running water for “sites” yet, if ever, but running water is here and available for free. Additions to come soon: outdoor shower, available compost toilet available for rent while here, fresh herbs, vegetables, fresh local eggs, firewood, and covered gathering/ cooking area (not built yet) and much more, I’m really excited. Open to idea’s and options. No fireworks/ gunfire allowed at anytime, no “parties”, but gatherings, campfires, games and fun always welcome. I prefer meeting guests apon arrival to answer any questions and help all feel comfortable. I do have medical conditions that may prohibit it at times though.

This property is unimproved and unmaintained raw natural land. The entire property is surrounded by a farm drainage ditch on all sides, with random farm drainage ditches to insure the land is dry and a 60’ x 60’ old farm irrigation pond (see satellite photo to know where the ditches are located). There is plenty of seasoned raw wood (from when the property was cleared 4 years ago) laying randomly throughout the property to cut and collect for a camp fire. The land is located off a dirt access road that is well maintained by the county. The county dirt road can provide for hours of peaceful riding via mountain bikes. Campers are more then welcome to cut their own path on the land for their campsite. There is a fire pit by the large tree when first entering the property at Entrance 2 (please see photos for the locations of Entrance 1 and 2). Note: This raw land is unmaintained and was last cleared 4 years ago, photos are from April 2022. Jeff’s place is a treasure. South Carolina is lucky to have it! The campsites are immaculate, their shared space is beautiful and so thoughtfully created; we enjoyed the showers and outdoor kitchen. On-site staff are a joy to be around and the landscape is zen paradise. Right by the river, tucked in the woods, 15 minutes from the beach; this is the place to be. We feel lucky to have experienced the magic!

Dude was very nice super sociable. Super laid back place. Chill fire spots and what not. Beautiful nature for the most part. Nice creeks. I just really liked the atmosphere and the fact that there were showers, toilets, microwave, multiple grills. A communal fridge. All of that made it super pleasant and felt very over the top friendly which I love. Great place. Nice people Would recommend.

1st time camping here and it was wonderful. Staff is extremely attentive and nice. Very laid back and unstressful which is really what your looking for on a weekend getaway to recharge from the day to day. The glamping tent we booked was extremely clean and comfortable overlooking the river making it very tranquil. If you bring children, the site has a myriad of events and activities to keep them busy and having fun. The whole facility is extremely well kept and a lot of thought and effort was put in to create the appropriate holiday theme of the season (we were there late Oct and it looked fabulous). We are definitely going to book another stay there especially with all the warm weather activities they have like kayaking and tubing. We might consider one of thier more excluded camping sites that they offer. Very much recommend checking it out whether old or young.

I spent a few days tent camping and hunting. The property is easy to access and has plenty of space. It’s a super quiet area in the middle of the National Forest. Enjoyed clear skies, plenty of stars, and good communication from the host.

Everything was perfect . All supplies needed were there, just needed food, drinks and firewood(is available to purchase on site) Very clean , huge camping lot, beautiful grounds and owners aimed to please. Can’t wait to go back!!!

This was the first tent trip for my sons. Andrew’s directions were clear and helpful. The view was spectacular and site was well maintained. He was in contact the whole time. There were several places to choose from, for tent location, and all were flat. We highly recommend this land!

The area was cleared and level for a tent or even a camper. Jeff had a fire pit already set up to use. You are able to see the Moon and stars in the country area he has cleared out. Easy to located. It was very peaceful and the nature of the birds, crickets and the hoot owl were amazing! We would recommend this camp site to anyone!!!

We loved camping at scott’s spot!! he was extremely considerate from the moment we pulled in, he even had treats and a ball ready for our pups the spot is tucked behind on his land and could adjust to small/big families and had everything we needed for tent camping (plus more) and he even surprised us with eggs from his chicken to cook for breakfast. the area is both away from the hustle and bustle but also close enough to the beach and food. overall, super generous man who we can tell loves company, we could have sat and talked to him for hours but unfortunately we were short on time, thanks for everything you did for us, scott!!

Weekend Trip to Riverbend Camp Retreat

Andrew was very responsive and helpful with answering all of our questions. Place was a riverfront and really well organized with tables, fire pit, swing and most importantly toilet. Camping area was clean of all of the debris and stuff. We had great time overall. Few things I would like to share with fellow campers and I don't think it should affect our 5 star rating. The spot was quite dusty for us. We could see dust particles in air all the time and our cars and stuff were covered with dust after few hours. Our fault we did not take advantage of the river front. But it would have been really nice if we brought our fishing grear of had kayaks. You could splash kayaks there. But the downside of the river was fishermen and we even had folks came at night with bright light probably doing night fishing which made our stay not as private as we hoped to. Traffic in general was not that bad. We wish Andrew the best of luck with his business.

Great spot by the river. Lots of privacy. Easy access for fishing. Caught some nice catfish to cook on the fire. Owner is planning on doing some upgrades. Can't wait to come back!
