Our homestead is home to our family, chickens, and a livestock guardian dog.
We also have a small orchard and a garden.
Most of our 12+ acres are wooded and our property backs up to thousands of acres of public forest land owned by Clemson University. A trail connects our backyard to the main network of hiking/mountain biking trails in Clemson Forest. For those familiar with the forest, our property is in the vicinity of Wildcat Technical, Wounded Road, and Chainbreaker trails.
As private and wooded as our property is, we are only 10-15 minutes from downtown Clemson and less than 10 minutes from the small towns of Central and Six Mile. Lakes Hartwell and Keowee are also short drives.
We currently offer a single campsite, which can accommodate several tents or a camper van. Our campsite features a composting toilet outhouse, and water is available from spigots at our house. Though fairly close to our house, the campsite has a very private feel due to being completely surrounded by a hardwood forest.

Fishing and Tent Camping on a beautiful privately owned naturally spring feed 2.5 Acre pond. Pond fully stocked with Catfish, Yellow Carp, Buffalo Carp, Bass, and Brim. We do allow eating size catfish under 5lbs to be taken from lake. Large catfish and all other types of fish are catch and release only. No fishing license required. Typically caught fish weigh in at 20lbs plus. Some catfish as large as 80lbs. Enjoy peacefully fishing all night with your friends and family on a lighted fully stocked pond. Each campsite has its own fire pit so you are welcome to bring firewood and enjoy cooking out or having smores by the fire.

"Out Door Shower / Changing 2.0" will not disappoint! 20 minutes off Route 85. in Fairplay, SC. About 20 minutes to Seneca, SC and 20 minutes to Livonia, GA. LAKE HARTWELL is part of the chain of Lakes on the Savannah River. Duke Energy owns and maintains the water level on the lakes to produce hydro power. Just a beautiful setting with calm waters and all kinds of hidden branches of the lake to boat, fish, and explore. The entire area is teeming with a rural South Carolina flare. Even for "non campers"; pay us a visit, have a campfire, hike or fish off the community dock. The Community Lake Front Site offers fire pits, deck, dock to fish, swim, kayak from. The Community Site is approximately 1/8 mi away; can drive or walk. Lots of wild life including deer, turkeys, birds etc. The song birds at sun up and sun set are significant! "Camp Hartwell" is a secluded site with close access to the Community Lakefront Site and dock on Lake Hartwell in Fairplay, SC. "Hickory Forest" is our Premier Site; fire pit, grates, large benches. "Out Door Shower / Changing 2.0" will not disappoint! 20 minutes off Route 85. in Fairplay, SC. About 20 minutes to Seneca, SC and 20 minutes to Livonia, GA. LAKE HARTWELL is part of the chain of Lakes on the Savannah River. Duke Energy owns and maintains the water level on the lakes to produce hydro power. Just a beautiful setting with calm waters and all kinds of hidden branches of the lake to boat, fish, and explore. The entire area is teeming with a rural South Carolina flare. Even for "non campers"; pay us a visit, have a campfire, hike or fish off the community dock. The Community Lake Front Site offers fire pits, deck, dock to fish, swim, kayak from. The Community Site is approximately 1/8 mi away; can drive or walk. Lots of wild life including deer, turkeys, birds etc. The song birds at sun up and sun set are significant! Hickory trees abound and nuts drop Sept./Oct. Options for parking boat at community dock need to be discussed in advance. Rates and rules apply.

Super peaceful spot! The big open field was great for stargazing at night, and there was a set of trees near the pond that worked for my camping hammock. Loved seeing the ducks as I walked around the pond. This is a very well kept bit of land, and I felt like I had plenty of space to enjoy and it was nicely secluded. The most I heard was dogs barking in the distance and the ducks splashing a bit at night. I'll have to come back!

I had a wonderful 2 days, very restful, exactly what I needed. Their dog was curious but not terribly interested, the rooster crowed, as roosters do. The view was terrific. Read the other reviews - the site is on an incline, but we (husband and I) went prepared and managed to level our popup tent. I will go back.

Camp site was amazing. Jame's was very accommodating allowing me to switch sites when I realized there was no power on the site I originally booked. Location is beautiful. No light polution, can see tons of stars at night. Bathroom and shower are small but heated and air conditioned with plenty of hot water. Easy access trails to the restroom/shower. Had a lovely time.

4 nights at Creekside Cabin at Lake Hartwell
I have to say, this was hands-down the best organized, cleanest, easiest, most amenity-laden cabin I’ve ever rented. So many details, from the embroidered robes to the bound book of instructions and recommendations. From the kitchen appointments to the coffee. There are really too many amazing little things to list here, but you could really tell the owners absolutely care about the experience their property provides. And we went panning for gold in the creek below the back deck and even found a little! It was incredibly comfortable and lots of fun. Just make sure you’re ok with stairs and aren’t too large to fit the spiral to the loft. I honestly cannot think of a single improvement to make. Didn’t even matter that it rained so much, because there was plenty left to do inside.

Loved this campsite! It’s right by the lake with a beautiful view especially at sunrise and sunset. The spot was clean, quiet and perfect for a relaxing weekend. Great place to unwind, fish or just sit by the water. Alex has firewood at the entrance to the right under an open shed. I recommend grabbing some before you set up camp because it’s a good distance from the camp site. I thought that was a really nice bonus. Thank you Alex! Definitely coming back!
