The property is located on a main road and consists of a family residence, a Christian church, and a small farm that sits high on a hill overlooking the Nanaquaket Pond. Pitch your tent, or park your car/van, in our backyard woodlands just past our house off the main road with rustic walking paths to the Nannaquacket Pond. Take in the natural wildlife such as deer, groundhogs, songbirds, and our free-range chickens when they are out and about. The beauty of the countryside is right around the corner.

With the original home built in 1785, Milk Thistle farm is on the historic register and is comprised of the main house and 5 acres of land. It is run as a small non-profit animal sanctuary and is home to rescued chickens, goats, and pigs, as well as two humans and their dog and cat companions. The main property is fenced in and is closed off to visitors. We have two sites; the orchard to explore that can also double as hammock camping, as well as a small wooded nook. Both are next to the goat pen. There is parking for cars and bikes. We try to minimize our impact on the environment as much as possible, and encourage our guests to compost, recycle, and dispose of waste accordingly. Please note we have dogs, including a Livestock Guardian Dog that does bark to alert us of new people and warn off would be predators. Check us out on instagram @milk_thistle_farm

We loved tent camping in Kristina's yard. My friend got married at Newport Vineyards, and this affordable place to crash made the perfect end to the evening. For the self sufficient campers, this car camping spot is a great location to access Aquidneck Island.
Furthermore, the property abuts a nature preserve with miles of trails, a golf course, a plant nursery, and the vineyard mentioned above.
Kristina was an excellent host with an excellent camping spot.

Friendly host. Left us alone though we basically camped in their driveway in our truck camper. Nice out of the way and near a trailhead. Lovely flowers in yard, great spot for tent. There is some traffic noise because it is right on the road. Beware the road is absolutely terrible getting there - not their fault.

A very nice stay deep in their woods. We were able to hear some noise from the road, and some nighttime critters/early morning roosters, but it wasn’t bad and I’m sure most campers wear ear plugs. We loved getting to see the goats and pigs all the time.

Loved camping at the Stonewall Site! It’s a short but steep hike down to the site with plenty of privacy! Slightly buggy but other than that awesome. Stephen and Sandra were extremely responsive and accommodating!

We had a great time! The space was beautiful and roomy. Very convenient location close to beaches, restaurants, and Newport. The hosts were wonderful and recommended a bunch of coffee shops and fun places to visit. Kristina even shared toys/crafts with my daughter. They went above and beyond. Highly recommend. Very nice setting. Beautiful hydrangeas. Pretty quiet at night. The fire pit and hammock are appreciated touches as well. Easy to find and owners directions were clear. There was a porta potty as well which wasn’t listed but appreciated. The surrounding area around is nice as well.

The place is just as described. Host provided directions, easy to find. The campsite was clean and we had plenty of space to set up our class C w slides out. There was some road noise but it wasn’t that bad. The site is peaceful. Always nice to have access to water, electricity, a grill and a fire pit. The dog run was also nice to have.
