There are 3 campsites located in the gap of the little Mahanoy Mountain and line Mountain range along the little Mahanoy creek. All four campsites have creek access and come with picnic table garbage can and fire ring and Firewood is usually available. There are two Porta potty‘s one located at each end of the sites. There are trails for hiking which extends along an abandoned railroad bed and also up into State game lands and into the deep woods. The hiking in the woods is on an incline. But the hiking on the railroad bed is pretty unintense. There is parking at each site. The sites are spread out along the creek bed ranging from more of a rustic primitive tent camping on site 4 to an open site on site 1.

Greene Kitchen Farm has been farmed by the Greene family since 2013.  If you step back in time a few owners, the Kitchen family with 8 boys and a girl farmed the land that surrounds the little tributary to Montour Run.  The Greenes have been pasturing the majority of the land in nature's image with an eye toward biomimicry and an agro-forestal, savannah landscape.  The herbivores pulse through the landscape with flocks of birds following them.   Since the livestock have been fenced out of the creek, a little jewel of a wildlife refuge traverses the farm from northwest to southeast.  This riparian zones shades the creek, protects the water quality, and provides great habitat for coyotes, minks, eagles, white-tailed deer, groundhogs, hawks, squirrels, woodcock, and a variety of songbirds.  Greene Kitchen Farm camp sites are situated on this varied section of brook.      Learn more about this land:Bring your tent or park your pop-up along the spring at Greene Kitchen Farm. 5 nights at Mulberry Acres

Everything was awesome. The little cabin stayed so warm and was the perfect size for our family of three plus our doggo! The land was beautiful. Theresa and her husband were both so kind. We loved meeting their farm of animals. And she was easy to get a hold of and easy to chat with. We will definitely be going back. The porta potty is a short walk and they are working on a bunch of upgrades in the cabin too. The emus are wonderful and sweet, we visited them multiple times a day. I could go on and on. 100% recommended for an upgraded camping experience. Look forward to trying them out in warmer weather too!

Fantastic place to camp. Susan is the best host. Really takes care of the land, maintains the campsites, and makes sure you have everything you need. This site in particular was tucked back in the woods just enough to feel secluded, but you still had an awesome view out over the open field / hill.

Came for an event in Lewisburg and stayed here for the weekend, what a wonderful secluded site, lots of animals and dogs added to the charm! I wish I had more time to tour the farm and meet all the animals, I will have to come back. Highly recommend buying firewood from the farm if you plan on having a fire as it burned nicely.

This was my first Hipcamp experience. Susan made it an extremely easy experience. Her property was amazing. Great views, peaceful and private. Bathrooms were extremely clean. She had everything ready for us. I highly recommend her sites and we will be back for sure.

Our group had a great time at Fairie Tale Farms - Moondance Retreat and would highly recommend! Susan was very welcoming, showing us to our campsite and checking on us during our stay. We enjoyed walking around the property checking out the lake and watching the horses. During our stay we did a casual hike at Ricketts Glen State park and checked out a community fair.

Susan's land was beautiful, remote, yet a short drive from great hikes at Ricketts Glen State Park. Most of the camp sites are far enough away from other campers and was a true primitive experience. Susan was incredibly helpful with anything we needed or had questions about.

Susan has been an excellent host. She checks in on us and makes sure our needs are met. Heaven's Peak has been a great place for my group to camp at. It is more than enough space for our group of 12 people. Would highly recommend for anyone who value space and seclusion. Susan already had firewood, water, two picnic tables, and a port-o-potty set up at our campsite before arrival. Definitely recommend.

The land is stunning -- much of it an old field with young trees taking over and plumes of wildflowers (currently goldenrod and aster). Great bird habitat. Mowed paths made for a fine adventurous walk. The cabin's bed was very comfortable, the stove was convenient, and our hosts friendly. It was great to have such a secluded spot close to our visit to Shikellamy State Park and Bucknell.

2 nights at Little Mahanoy Creek Campground

I had such a relaxing stay here. The campsite is tucked away in the woods by a beautiful creek, close enough to the road for convenience, but secluded enough to really feel like a nature escape. Falling asleep to the sound of the water was so peaceful. The unlimited daily firewood bundle was a huge plus and made evenings by the fire extra cozy. There are also some nice little walking trails along the creek that add to the charm of the site.The host was incredibly welcoming. Nearby, I was able to pick up handmade soap and local honey from a local farm. Overall, this spot is perfect if you’re looking for a quiet getaway surrounded by nature. Highly recommend!

The site is very private and beautiful. When Susan says dark is dark she isn't kidding. Lol the stars were beautiful through the opening at the top of the trees. Sadly, the leaves this fall are not colorful. Just dull yellow and brown and falling off. Such a lovely retreat as always.

Beautiful property with rolling hills and farmland to take in. Nice little campsite tucked away in the back and close to the restroom. Susan was flexible with our arrival time and very kind. We had everything we needed easy to access and taken care of, only thing we ran out of is time!! Book a long stay so you can enjoy it all! 15 mins from Ricketts Glen, but plenty to enjoy camping too!

Lovely site. It feels really private, even though it's not far from the main farm. I stayed in a two man tent and there is a perfect place to set it up. I enjoyed walking on the little paths behind the campsite, and it was fun to see the variety of farm animals.
