The road in can be rough, just go slow, it's not ours, we are working with the state to fix it.

Camp is on 50 acres with a pink marked trail to Red Bank Creek on the western border and back up through a hemlock forest along south border. A small stream runs through the property and forms a rocky delta in Red Bank Creek. All camp sites are on the eastern border and close to the main road to access property. Hike, enjoy the sound of the stream tickling through property, stargaze, or rest, watch nature's critters, read or just relax in a hammock. No hunting on property but fishing permitted along "river" aka Red Bank Creek. Please keep fires in firepit and noise levels low. Set up to be most natural, minimal mowing, and sites meant to be more private. We let you know if you have others on property. Located just outside of Parker, PA and 25 minutes from I-80, our campsite is very accessible, yet still very remote.
With 4 campsites on 75 acres, guests have ample privacy and space, with the freedom to roam this posted property that has no homes on it. Perched high above the Allegheny there are several spots to take in the wonderful views. There is also a waterfall with a 3’ deep pool below it. Great for splashing with kids or dogs, guests love exploring the creek bottom and making new discoveries. The more curious guests sometimes find the ruins of the original homestead, chimney and spring house that sit upstream. The property is teeming with wildlife. Birds and tree frogs will be the soundtrack of your visit, and often deer will be seen nosing along the outskirts of your site in the mornings and evenings. Turkey, bald eagles and even bear are occasionally spotted, so be prepared to secure your food and trash at night.
For those coming to disconnect, you have found the right place. But if cell service is needed, you will have enough to get texts out and depending what site you booked, calls and internet as well.
For those who seek an electrical outlet AND and EV charger, we have a site for you! We also have a site with a large canvas tent already set up for your convenience.

This tent camping site opens just in time to enjoy the spectacular fall leaf colors of the Allegheny National Forest. The campground is only a few hundred feet from the Western Pennsylvania Conservancy River Access Preserve on the Allegheny River — an easy walk.
The WPC river access is a favorite for fishing, paddling, and canoe or kayak launching and recovery.
The camping area makes a perfect overnight stop for river float trips between Buckaloons and Tionesta, or for a shorter river trip from Tidioute to West Hickory. It’s ideal for small groups.
The campground is located on the quiet, dark north end of Trunkeyville — a great spot for stargazing and watching meteor showers.
At present, the only amenity is a porta-potty. Please bring your own drinking water. There are no designated campsites; you may camp anywhere in the northwest area of the mowed field or in the wooded area just beyond it. Note that the southeast corner of the field can become soggy after rain.
A pair of eagles are resident in Trunkeyville and are often seen perched in the sycamore tree on the island opposite the WPC launch area.

Cell phone service is weak to nonexistent in much of the property, so be prepared to go offline and relax!

We allow pets, all dogs must on a leash 6ft or shorter in length and held by an adult, there is a $20/stay pet fee for pets that can be paid prior to arrival.
Beach/Swimming Rules: Two adults 18 or over are required to supervise when there are children swimming. (Even if only one child is present.)
No swimming outside of the designated/roped swim area.
No watercraft allowed anywhere in the pond.
Do not use soap in the water, we have showers!

We have 104 acres along the Allegheny river that we are willing to share with people who enjoy the outdoors. My husband and I, have been living here for twenty years and just enjoy the beauty this valley has to offer. We see bald eagles everyday, and every once in while some otters can be seen playing in the river.
Black Fox Island is visible downstream and provides a pool in the river that is a mile long. A person can easily paddle upstream; when the river is at normal summer levels.
Over 100 years ago, this was an industrial area with railroads, deep mines, strip mines, and gristmills. Some remnants of those times are still visible.
Paddling, biking, walking, fishing and swimming are some of the activities to do here, but doing nothing and watching the river go by seems to be the most popular.

Located just outside of Parker, PA and 25 minutes from I-80, our campsite is very accessible, yet still very remote.
With 4 campsites on 75 acres, guests have ample privacy and space, with the freedom to roam this posted property that has no homes on it. Perched high above the Allegheny there are several spots to take in the wonderful views. There is also a waterfall with a 3’ deep pool below it. Great for splashing with kids or dogs, guests love exploring the creek bottom and making new discoveries. The more curious guests sometimes find the ruins of the original homestead, chimney and spring house that sit upstream. The property is teeming with wildlife. Birds and tree frogs will be the soundtrack of your visit, and often deer will be seen nosing along the outskirts of your site in the mornings and evenings. Turkey, bald eagles and even bear are occasionally spotted, so be prepared to secure your food and trash at night.
For those coming to disconnect, you have found the right place. But if cell service is needed, you will have enough to get texts out and depending what site you booked, calls and internet as well.

This tent camping site opens just in time to enjoy the spectacular fall leaf colors of the Allegheny National Forest. The campground is only a few hundred feet from the Western Pennsylvania Conservancy River Access Preserve on the Allegheny River — an easy walk.
The WPC river access is a favorite for fishing, paddling, and canoe or kayak launching and recovery.
The camping area makes a perfect overnight stop for river float trips between Buckaloons and Tionesta, or for a shorter river trip from Tidioute to West Hickory. It’s ideal for small groups.
The campground is located on the quiet, dark north end of Trunkeyville — a great spot for stargazing and watching meteor showers.
At present, the only amenity is a porta-potty. Please bring your own drinking water. There are no designated campsites; you may camp anywhere in the northwest area of the mowed field or in the wooded area just beyond it. Note that the southeast corner of the field can become soggy after rain.
A pair of eagles are resident in Trunkeyville and are often seen perched in the sycamore tree on the island opposite the WPC launch area.

My husband and I, have been living here for twenty years and just enjoy the beauty this valley has to offer. We see bald eagles everyday, and every once in while some otters can be seen playing in the river.
Black Fox Island is visible downstream and provides a pool in the river that is a mile long. A person can easily paddle upstream; when the river is at normal summer levels.
Over 100 years ago, this was an industrial area with railroads, deep mines, strip mines, and gristmills. Some remnants of those times are still visible.

The cabin is by a stream and a magical patch of woods. There were plenty to explore and my friend and I had a great time. The pink trail was a great walk, but it was also fun to just follow along the creek if you don’t mind traversing back and forth the creek. Near the banks of the creek there were some interesting fungi. We also found a deer skull. It’s a hunting permitted area so depending on the time of year you would need high vis gear, which we didn’t have but used whatever we could find on walks. It’s also close to the lovely town of Brookville so that’s there for people who want a few hours on the town or ice cream. It’s a real no fuss place and yet it has everything you would need staying at a somewhat primitive cabin. Offers just enough shelter for people who want to spend time in nature in the winter but are not super hardcore about the weather/ doesn’t want to spend money on a lot of winter specific gear.
The fireplace heats up the upstairs sleeping area really well. We were here during Christmas time, yet some nights we were sweating in our sleeping bags. Downstairs doesn’t heat up that well and if you’re bothered by it you’ll have to keep a flame going through the day.
Host was communicative and attentive, someone came and checked on us at one point too. Plenty of firewood was ready for us. Only wish there was more potable water though, but we bought jugs of water ahead of time so it was never a problem. Overall a great time and definitely would come back.

An absolute gem of a site. The cabin itself had everything we needed. Was already warmed up for us upon arrival on a snowy evening and held heat well throughout our weekend. Ben gave us a great hiking recommendation that we took advantage of and it was just what we were looking for. Enjoyed our evenings by the campfire and morning coffee on the steps by the river. Instructions were clear and easy to follow. We are already planning our next trip out here!

We absolutely love this campsite! This is not the first time we've been here, and certainly won't be the last! This site is absolutely perfect for our family and dog! It is private, quiet, beautiful and clean! Sitting at the campfire and staring into the woods is life-giving. Our kids and dog can run around without any worry. The electric and water hook ups are so nice to have as well! There are several picnic tables to use and an awesome fire ring. Pulling in and out are super easy because of the nicely graveled area! Don't let the road coming in discourage you...this is no indication of what you'll experience once you're there! We thank Josh and his family for allowing us to use the site again to end our 2025 camping season (we began with them too!) We will certainly be back in 2026!

Such a beautiful location. The views were amazing. The hosts were super accommodating and kind. They were on site when we visited, and they offered to give my nieces and nephews a ride in their buggy. They had a blast. Kids and dogs loved trekking through the creek and exploring the waterfall. The heat, bathroom, TV, and cooking appliances were all fantastic, the outdoor area was spacious and the view down the creek from it lined up perfectly with the sunset! Had a great weekend exploring ANF from here, thanks!

Weekend Trip to Bison Trace Luxury Camping
Easy check in. Beautiful property. I highly recommend this glamping experience to anyone. My friend and I split the Waggin Tails covered wagon and were blown away at how roomy and comfortable it was. The wood and easy start kindling that's provided was a lovely bonus. The coffee shop uses the most delicious beans. I made sure I bought a bag to bring home so my husband could taste them. I enjoyed myself so much that I bought a gift card as a Christmas gift for a family member so they can come experience this campground with their family.

This was a very nice spot to set up camp for tenting. We stayed for only one night but it was a great spot with water and firewood provided! Would definitely recommend!
