The site was amazing ! We loved everything about it except the mosquitos lol. We were so comfortable and relaxed. If you have time I recommend you check out salt springs state park it was like a 10 min drive away and was perfect for the heat! We will def want to be back one day!

1 night at Lakeside Campground

Lakeside Campground was a great find just over the NY state border. Penny was there to welcome us in spite of our later arrival and kept the store open for us to pick up some items for our stay. The campground is well laid out, with spring plantings and personal touches throughout. Our yurt was located right on the lake & had its own dock to enjoy the spring peepers at night. Neat & tidy interior: creature comforts and a really comfy bed! Screened windows allow cool breezes in for an exceptional sleep. Hot water & good shower pressure in the shower house - we used the all-in-one on Huff ‘n Puff Ln. Bring a quarter with you: gets you 9 minutes of shower time. This campground is now on our list of travel sites when headed north!

Heather and her family provide a beautiful, quiet place to get away! They truly have everything you need, so all you have to do is show up! Heather was super communicative throughout the process and everything was a breeze. Cannot recommend this stay enough!

Take a Hot shower, under the stars or in the sunlight. Use our brand new outdoor flushable toilet. Come relax, hear the sounds of nature. Take a tour of the farm or hike around our property. You might even be able to feed or pet a cow! It’s all waiting for you! It's all located on our 460 acre farm. Running water and flushable toilet along with hot shower are all yours, and not shared by anyone else. Our tent is within 10 minutes of Salt Springs State park, with waterfalls and amazing trails for hiking. We are about 30 minutes or less from Ross park Zoo and Animal adventure. We are located about 35-45 minutes north of Scranton PA. There is also 12 minutes to the historic small town of Montrose, with great shopping at Hometown Finds and Friends, to a most stop shop for amazing chocolate at Chocolate by Leopold.

Your stay in the treehouse is off–grid, thoroughly insulated and heated by a wood-burning stove, also we do supply you with a Jackery 1000 lithium battery generator to power the shower, or to charge your phone or laptop. We also use a composting toilet for the cleanest and most environmentally sensitive relationship to the surroundings. You will learn firsthand what off–grid glamping is like…and that includes a hot-water shower. We will supply you with bed linens, towels, bath soap, shampoo, plates, cups, utensils, at least 2 1/2 gallons of fresh drinking water, pots and pans, grill utensils, salt and pepper, paper towels, a sink and dish soap, dish towels, toilet tissue, hand sanitizer, a camping percolating coffee pot, coffee cups, a flashlight, and some firewood (for the mini wood stove—see amenity limitations). Mobile phone service is definitely adequate for working from a tree. :-)

With a short drive into town where you will find antique/ Thrift stores a Small Town Main Street with classic style movie theater, a golf course and a handful of Wineries and distilleries. There are several boat launches along the Susquehanna River for kayaks and boats. The Loyalsock State Forest is 44 minute drive. The Worlds End State Park is a 50 minute drive.
