If you come for the hunting, (in season) let us know in advance and we will help you secure the proper permits and learn the rules of the refuge. Common sightings include high and low-flying Bald Eagles and other birds of prey, as well as many varieties of colorful, native song birds. Beth was the best host anyone could ask for! The bungalow was cut clean and comfortable We had amenities for tea coffee and she was even so kind that she shared some drinks with us because the liquor store was closed. She also provided us with a microwave that was not originally included and it did come in very handy. We felt like we bonded immediately. The hot tub was a delight and heated porch area. Beth was kind enough to allow us to use her bathroom for a shower and it was not ackward at all. We had plenty of privacy. I would highly recommend staying her as it was not expensive at all.

Danielle came out and greeted me and we had a nice conversation about the area. Site has gravel, cement pad and grass areas to camp (your choice) on in a semi rural setting outside the town of Geneva on the Lake. Hookups for electric (110 and 30 amp) as well as water were available. Which was very convenient.

Very laid-back host. We really enjoyed the hot tub and the privacy.. Port Dover also had a lot to offer, even though it was a little chilly. It was still really beautiful to walk around, and there were still lots of restaurants and cute little stores to investigate. The sunset at Lake Erie. was beautiful and everyone was very friendly.

Clean air and a clean campground❣️Definitely had a hippy vibe to it, and was not far from the highway. The staff was in contact with me right after my same day reservation, and the owner I met was welcoming. There are port a potties and showers available, but they are in the process of building an actual bathhouse. There is also a pet fee to be aware of. I would describe this as rustic camping, so do not expect something like a formal campground with paved parking spots, fire rings, and picnic tables at the sites. Think open farm field, walk in woods camping. I would stay again❣️

What a beautiful site in a great location to explore the wineries, beaches and covered bridges! So close to many pristine, uncrowded beaches with gorgeous sunsets. The stars numbered in the zillions! Chris and Alan are superb hosts and rescued us when we forgot our corkscrew :-); we added on the breakfasts and they were sublime and creative. Coffee was ready early! Our dog loved exploring the lovely farm and enjoyed the biscuits. We will happily return next season and bring the rest of our family! Super romantic and so peaceful.

Our little family stayed in one of the tents this past weekend and upon our arrival we found a spacious tent with all the amenities for an outside gathering, outdoor cooking, comfortable sleeping arrangements, and a separate game room. We were so impressed with the cleanliness, aesthetics, and personal touches that were left by the owners. Some shout outs: * We were given a separate heated bathroom with shower, sink, and toilet, and a personalized touch of our family name on a sign outside the door * A gathering area or hang out after hours with a fire cauldron * A coffee shop with specious coffee and chai lattes and reasonably priced breakfast options * Pickleball for our kids * Very kind and gracious hosts We will absolutely be back and recommend this as a place to visit to our friends and family!

Weekend Trip to Flannel Dog Farm

We arrived later in the evening but Alan was there to greet us. Super nice guy! He told us all about the farm and how he and Chris worked to bring it back to a more natural state. The grounds are lovely and well kept. The area for tent camping was well maintained with a nice firepit. Composting toilet was so nice to have and it was clean. It was nice to be able to hear owls and coyote at night. Would definitely come back here to stay when we are in the area. Thank you, Alan and Chris!
