Flannel Dog Farm is a seven acre homestead on the site of an 1860's farm. We have chickens, ducks, and dogs as well as a variety of wild animals. We have a large, open camping area and an emerging forest filled with native trees and birds. We are a peaceful, rustic, and safe site located just 15 mins. from I-90 and a mile south of Lake Erie. And, we make a mean breakfast– just read our reviews :) We offer several lodging options, detailed below. The Peace Portal and tent camping are on our farm proper, while the Blue Cabin is just down the road on a separate wooded parcel. The Peace Portal: --------------------- This comfy, rustic tiny house sits next to a beautiful pond. Watch the wild birds and animals through its large upcycled window, or sip your morning coffee on its sunny front porch. Enjoy a private picnic table and fire ring, as well as access to a shared standard half bath. Weekend Trip to Elk Valley Creekside

As others have already mentioned, Barry's place is amazing! The site is completely private, right on the creek. There are two fire pits, a porta potty, very comfortable bunk beds in the tent. Barry and his son, Sean were very kind hosts. Barry met us at the entrance and took us to the site. He was thorough in explaining everything to us. His son Sean dropped off some firewood and spring water for our stay. They even invited us to join them for food on Sunday after their church service they were hosting. The highlights of our stay included swimming in the creek, fishing in their pond, seeing a bald eagle and the hundreds of fireflies that came out at night! If you are looking for a private, peaceful retreat in nature, this place is perfect.

Weekend Trip to CHERRY VALLEY CHILL

What a wonderful time we had at Cherry Valley Chill. Troy was very attentive and kind. The property was absolutely beautiful and so relaxing. The cabin itself was incredible. The wood stove made all it so cozy at on our cooler night stay. My children are already asking when we will go back! Definitely worth the booking! Thanks again Troy!

Weekend Trip to Crestview Campground

When we arrived at crestview we were immediately in love with the pink salmon camper, there were loads of amenities in the trailer including a toilet, cooking utensils, two decent size beds, and an A/C unit. They even recently added a shower stall near the entrance of the site. The co owner was extremely welcoming and told us that we could take our time leaving in the morning because there was no one booked for the next day. Our experience was great until the night time when a group of people at a camper next to us starting arguing and screaming explicitly around 3-4 AM. We were able to go back to sleep without any further issues and the rest of the stay was peaceful. On our drive out from crestview I received a text from the owner about a full reimbursement for the interruption in the night. They absolutely did not need to do that, but I find it admirable that they care more about customer experience rather than money. I would stay here again.

What an awesome cabin! The cabin itself was nice and cozy. Great space to relax. Big mowed property, tons of room for our dogs to play. Nice big fire pit and troy had tons of firewood for us! The street had low traffic on it. Nice farm across the street with horses. We will be back!

If you are looking for a private secluded camping spot this is your place. I might suggest an suv for the drive in . The canvas bell tent was on a raised platform and very good quality. It was peaceful and the shed where the camp toilet was located also had a small pump sink as well. It’s rustic but clean.

Weekend Trip to Elk Valley Creekside

Talk about off the grid—this place is 100% that. You take a cool dirt and gravel trail back to your site, which is completely secluded. The creek running alongside the rock wall makes for a one-of-a-kind experience. I highly recommend this location, and Barry was an awesome host who was incredibly accommodating.
