It's perfect for anyone who just wants to get away and immerse themselves in the country. We have 2 camp sites ready right now both come with a fire pit. One is more secluded which is campsite #2 and the one with the valley view is campsite #1.
Showers are seasonal. The last day for shower use is Oct 15th. You’re more than welcome to bring your own portable shower hook up and use the shower house for privacy. We apologize for any inconvenience. You will need to have a cigarette lighter access to use the shower to power the pump.
We recommend bringing flashlights as our property is solar powered and there is no electric on the property. On low sunny days, solar lights may not last as long into the evening.
On rainy days the property can be very muddy and access to the top of the hill to the sites would be best accessed with a 4WD vehicle as well as winter time with snow on the ground.
If you'd like to charge your phone we advise you to bring back up battery packs as there is now electric hook ups on site.
The most private sites are Cloud 9, Bunny Pit and Lilou's Landing. The cottage is located down by the main house and not at the top of the hill.
Pets are welcome, please clean up after your dog.

A small stream runs through the property and forms a rocky delta in Red Bank Creek. All camp sites are on the eastern border and close to the main road to access property. Rustic Run is a secluded cabin located on private land surrounded by timber lands and the Allegheny National Forest.
Access to hiking, biking, kayaking, canoeing fishing, hunting, geocaching, wildlife viewing, ATV and snowmobile trails are all within a short drive. A handful of golfing options are available within a 30-minute radius or less.
The bridge on the property crosses over the creek and provides access to the area timber lands and Allegheny National Forest. There is a cooperative agreement between the timber lands and ANF which allows for non-motorized, public use. Off trail-hiking is plentiful all around the cabin.
Chapman State Park is about a 10 minute drive.
Kinzua Dam; Jake's Rocks are 20-25 minute drive.

Neighborhood description
Rustic Run is a secluded cabin located on private land surrounded by timber lands and the Allegheny National Forest.
Access to hiking, biking, kayaking, canoeing fishing, hunting, geocaching, wildlife viewing, ATV and snowmobile trails are all within a short drive. A handful of golfing options are available within a 30-minute radius or less.
The bridge on the property crosses over the creek and provides access to the area timber lands and Allegheny National Forest. There is a cooperative agreement between the timber lands and ANF which allows for non-motorized, public use. Off trail-hiking is plentiful all around the cabin.
Chapman State Park is about a 10 minute drive.
Kinzua Dam; Jake's Rocks are 20-25 minute drive.

Getting around
Winter Months Require 4WD vehicles to access cabin. Although, the road is well maintained Pennsylvania winters can create unexpected conditions. Road and driveway are icy during winter and early spring.

The southern section of the property ascends abruptly from 2050'-2250'. The northern range is less abrupt.
It has been my passion & a genuine labor of love to keep this environment as pristine as possible. This was the perfect little space to get away from life in the winter. The little propane heater was enough to warm up the space in the middle of the night and early morning. I didn't have the right gear to hike in the snow but I will be back to try out the trails in the spring! There was plenty of fire wood and a solo stove which we didn't really use but I appreciate that it was available. Also the hosts were very friendly and offered extra lights and things to make my stay more cozy. I will most definitely be back with better gear ❤️ Thank you again for making this quiet space available for people to get away from the busy world!

5/5 stars. If I had one word to describe it would be cozy. Ben is a great host. The cabin has nice privacy and it has everything you need utility wise. You are tucked away against a large creek if you like water activities. Nearby hiking trails. Check out the butcher shop in Sheffield if you like to grill!

The cabin was nice. It had good heating, a nice bed, a nice bathroom, and it had lots of forms of entertainment. The cabin also had wifi and a flat screen tv you could stream on. The host was also very good with helping us if we were confused on anything. I definitely plan on staying here again.

An absolute gem of a site. The cabin itself had everything we needed. Was already warmed up for us upon arrival on a snowy evening and held heat well throughout our weekend. Ben gave us a great hiking recommendation that we took advantage of and it was just what we were looking for. Enjoyed our evenings by the campfire and morning coffee on the steps by the river. HIGHLY recommend! Great location, not far from civilization but far enough away to get a BREAK! The Nest is a cute/comfy little cabin with everything you need! Even a crockpot which was great to have dinner cooking while we were out fishing! My favorite part of the location was there is no service or WiFi, you truly get to unplug and get away from the devices that take over our lives on a daily basis. Plenty of movies to wind down the night with. Ben and Ginny are great hosts, Ginny walked us through and told us everything we needed to know. The bedroom has air which was very helpful on the hot nights and kept the entire cabin cool. We were warned about a pesky little bird but didn’t have any issues nor did we have many concerns because we did put ourselves in the middle of the forest with the expectation we might encounter some animal friends!! We will 100% be back to the Nest! Hopefully a couple different times in the next year!

Ben, and his mom Jeannie, were great hosts. The only negative is that I didnt stay longer. They really made it feel like home. Ben had a little book of the history of the property and recommendations for the area. I ventured to Kinzua Bridge State Park and Hector Falls, but nights by the fire and creekside were perfect too. Hope I can make it back next year
