This was my second time staying at "The Woodzzy". I booked for my birthday over the weekend and it was a much needed getaway for me, my fiance and our dog. We all love the coziness of the cabin. It makes being lazy real easy. Not having phone service was amazing and a get way to disconnect. Thank to Russ for being helpful and accommodating. It also was a pleasure talking to him. I highly recommend this cabin and best believe I will be booking again!

The Wood-see is a lovely rustic cabin! We stayed for 4 nights over New Year’s when it was very cold and Russ kept us supplied with wood. We brought paper and a hatchet for kindling, which were both needed. Hope to make it back to stay again!

We recommend bringing lots of water and lanterns as there is no running water or electricity at the saw mill.

The Woodzie cabin was perfect for a short solo getaway, and would be wonderful for couples or small families as well. Had a great overnight with my dog, started a fire and heated my dinner over it, and saw some shooting stars overhead later in the night. The loft bed was very comfy. Rrally enjoyed the vibes and the charm. The spot was private but felt very safe and secure.
I was planning on camping the next night so I already had some stuff with me - I recommend bringing a comfortable camp chair if you plan on hanging outside, as well as water containers. I wasn't sure of the stove situation so I had packed an extra, as well as a bluetooth speaker, coffee press, foil and a small table for campfire cooking and extra battery lights and a fan for inside. It was simple and sweet and just what I was looking for.

We had a wonderful time in this gorgeous part of Pennsylvania. There was a scheduling mishap and we weren't able to get the Sawmill Woodzie cabin, but Connie let us stay at the campground instead, which we loved. Cabin had running water, an induction stove, electricity, and yet still a camping feel with trails and a fire pit. Next time I would likely book a cabin at the campground directly because it was so comfortable and scenic. She even had a water slide available for the kids!

My partner & I came to Connie’s Woodzie cabins to celebrate 6 months together, and it was fantastic! We used the word “perfect,” to describe our weekend so many times. We had plenty of privacy, but were never far from a nice warm shower or hospitable hosts if we needed either. It was a challenge for us because it was more rustic than what we’ve done before, but thanks to Connie we quickly made use of the propane stovetop, the porter potty and the fire circle! Super close to beautiful trails, wonderful stargazing, and JUST secluded enough to be inaccessible to the outside world when we want a little escape. As long as she keeps hosting, we ABSOLUTELY will be coming back together.

Wonderful hosts and cabin! Having access to the campground was great for the showers and other amenities. The cabin was clean and had plenty of kitchen supplies and things that we needed. Our dog loved roaming around the camp site. Connie and Andy were very helpful and checked in with us frequently to make sure we had everything we needed.

The Sawmill Woodzie cabin was a nice, private retreat in a fern-covered wood. The cabin has one full bed and a bunk bed with a comfy couch. Our dogs had the best time running around. Most of the time we were on the porch enjoying the fresh air and sunlight. There's no water or electricity but there's a good number of candles and lanterns. There's WiFi just down the road but it didn't extend as far as the cabin. We'll definitely be back as we explore World's End and the Loyalsock forest.

My son and I thoroughly enjoyed the cabin. It is especially quiet and we enjoyed the nature around us. The wood stove came in handy our last morning as it was too windy to have a campfire and it was a bit chilly that morning. Next time we might bring our fishing poles.

BOOK THIS! Walk out your private cabin and down a hill to the left is a trout stream and to the right is a mountain to climb with caves and crazy rocks!! Cabin is rustic and awesome! Weekend Trip to Elk Creek Escape/Sawmill Woodzie
Our weekend getaway to this cozy cabin was awesome! We went towards the end of February and it was lows of 20 which got colder at night, but the wood stove was very warm. Our hosts were super nice and stocked us with firewood during our stay. The cabin is definitely rustic which is what we wanted.
We decided to hang near the cabin and hike the mountain/cliff behind the cabin. It was neat to see the small caves and rocks covered in ice. Very straight up the small logging trails to state forest, but a good workout.
We will be coming back!!

We loved the rustic cabin! The hosts provided plenty of wood to keep the fire going and lots of blankets to keep us warm in February. We had a hard time finding the location originally but after messaging them, the host met us out front to show us where to go. We would definitely love to go back.
