Founded in 1955 as a campground, amusement park and pay to fish lake, lake lucy has a rich history of having families spending time together. After the death of lake lucys founder Raymond Mealy in 2007 the amusements and train were all removed as well as the zoo. The Steinman family purchased the property in 2017 and began remodeling the pavilion and putting in water and sewer lines to be able to use the campground and pavilion again. It has been a place for the Steinman and Mealy families and friends to enjoy for the last few years and we felt it was time to once again welcome the public to enjoy our property! We currently have 11 sites with full hookups (water, sewer, electric(50/30/20amp). The campground water will be turned off November 10th due to freezing temperatures. We will still have electric and sewage hookups available. Learn more about this land: Campers can fish, bike, swim at lake lucy. They will have access to both ponds. Top pond has bass and have caught bass over 20 inches with the largest being 23 inches and over 8 pounds. Both ponds have bass, crappie, perch, bluegill, and carp. We are within a few miles of a dollar store if any supplies are needed, a gas station is at the end of the road and we are only a few minutes from cook forest as well as the tionesta reservoir. Water is available on site for campers and campers can use the bath house. In the bath house there is 1 full bathroom with a shower and the other bathroom is just a half bath. Quiet and peaceful, come relax and enjoy time with your family at lake Lucy!   we are also conveniently located close to the bike trail near clarion as well as the bike trails in cook forest and oil creek state park. Located just outside of Parker, PA and 25 minutes from I-80, our campsite is very accessible, yet still very remote. With 4 campsites on 75 acres, guests have ample privacy and space, with the freedom to roam this posted property that has no homes on it. Perched high above the Allegheny there are several spots to take in the wonderful views. There is also a waterfall with a 3’ deep pool below it. Great for splashing with kids or dogs, guests love exploring the creek bottom and making new discoveries. The more curious guests sometimes find the ruins of the original homestead, chimney and spring house that sit upstream. The property is teeming with wildlife. Birds and tree frogs will be the soundtrack of your visit, and often deer will be seen nosing along the outskirts of your site in the mornings and evenings. Turkey, bald eagles and even bear are occasionally spotted, so be prepared to secure your food and trash at night. For those coming to disconnect, you have found the right place. We have 104 acres along the Allegheny river that we are willing to share with people who enjoy the outdoors. My husband and I, have been living here for twenty years and just enjoy the beauty this valley has to offer. We see bald eagles everyday, and every once in while some otters can be seen playing in the river. Black Fox Island is visible downstream and provides a pool in the river that is a mile long. A person can easily paddle upstream; when the river is at normal summer levels. Over 100 years ago, this was an industrial area with railroads, deep mines, strip mines, and gristmills. Some remnants of those times are still visible. Paddling, biking, walking, fishing and swimming are some of the activities to do here, but doing nothing and watching the river go by seems to be the most popular.

Camp is on 50 acres with a pink marked trail to Red Bank Creek on the western border and back up through a hemlock forest along south border. A small stream runs through the property and forms a rocky delta in Red Bank Creek. All camp sites are on the eastern border and close to the main road to access property. Hike, enjoy the sound of the stream tickling through property, stargaze, or rest, watch nature's critters, read or just relax in a hammock. No hunting on property but fishing permitted along "river" aka Red Bank Creek. Please keep fires in firepit and noise levels low. Set up to be most natural, minimal mowing, and sites meant to be more private. We let you know if you have others on property. No running water or flush toilets on sites unless in your self-contained camper. A compost loo provided. Lots of kindling can be easily gathered for a fire. The Roller-Coaster Road Ranch offers many maintained trails, perfect for hiking. The property is mainly forested, but does contain numerous open spaces perfect for a rustic camping experience. The farm has a few large open fields that are plowed and planted seasonally. Various wildlife populates the area; whitetail deer, turkey, black bear, and bald eagles. A stocked trout stream passes through portions of the property and connects to a larger stream with many options for swimming, wading, and crayfish hunting. The Trout Camp site is located at the confluence of two trout streams at the valley bottom, it is an open wooded area in view of a dirt road. The Main Bridge site is located along a trout stream in the valley, offers the most privacy, and is gated. The Valley View site is located at the top of a hill along side a cornfield, with spacious views, beautiful sunsets, and cell service, but does not offer direct access to the trout streams.

We loved our stay here! Hosts- Very friendly and easy to communicate with Location- fantastic! Cooks forest and the state park nearby have so much to do and offer. This campsite was perfectly placed in it! Campsite - we loved the campsite. First, we loved the privacy of having 360 view of trees. It definitely beats crowded campsites nearby. Second, they have a swing which was fun to swing on. The Fire pit was also great and we loved how many picnic tables there were. Campsite also had about 1 bar lte Verizon but I had no issues loading anything on my phone. We were able to watch movies which was what I was hoping for! I 10/10 recommend camping here

Weekend Trip to Presidential Primitive Getaway

We loved tent camping at the Presidential Getaway! We were welcomed with a fire ring full of kindling and plenty of dry wood to burn ❤️ the site is flat and perfect for camping with grassy areas to setup and a gravel driveway for campers. Since we were camping in the early spring, the foliage wasn't completely filled in so you could see through the trees to the road but it still felt very private and isolated. We saw a horse and buggy which was a treat for me and the dogs! The stars were out in their full glory and listening to all of the night time nature sounds was so peaceful. We will definitely be back again and thank you for sharing this lovely space with us!

Weekend Trip to Tiny Home on the Hill

The property is great! There weren't leaves on the trees yet when we stayed in early April, but it still felt private and secluded which is really important to us. We loved having a metal roof over one of the fire pits which came in handy during our first night there and we were hit with a downpour. We enjoyed hearing the donkey in the distance, too. We spent the next day hiking at Allegheny National Forest (we really loved the Beaver Meadow Loop Trail) and our Australian shepherd loved it too. The cabin itself was super clean and the perfect amount of space for what we needed. The only drawback was the 1 single twin sized bed at the ground level. There are multiple beds upstairs, but the staircase to go upstairs is not safe for dogs, and dogs are not allowed upstairs (understandably so!). Our Aussie likes to snuggle with us and would certainly attempt to climb up to us, so we slept in the twin bed the first night. The second night, we split up and 1 person slept upstairs and the other person slept downstairs. It was not a big deal, and we probably should have thought about the sleeping arrangements ahead of time. Thank you for sharing your wonderful property with us! Happy Easter!

2 nights at Clear Creek Cook Forest Campsite

Josh's spot is spectacular for solitude. It is on the edge of the forest at the end of loop of spacious "camps". The road in is definitely rocky, but we managed with our 26' class C just fine going slow and steady. The spot had all the amenities listed and they worked as they should. Depending on what time of year you go, you should be prepared for it to be wet. There are creeks surrounding the property and the parking and campfire areas can hold some water. Overall a great experience and hope to be back again soon!

Campsite was very clean and well taken care of. The common area was fantastic and the coffee was super convenient after I realized I forgot to pack my own.

2 nights at Tiny Home on the Hill

My girlfriend and I loved our stay here for our anniversary! The cabin was decently sized, pretty, very private, and had all the amenities. On the few days we stayed, it snowed pretty heavily and dropped to temperatures well below what was expected, but the pipes never froze, the heating was great, and hot water in the shower still worked. The cabin has lots of amenities including a nice stove, sink, fridge, and microwave. The host clearly stays there sometimes, as there was a lot of his stuff around. He provided dishes, silverware, and many toiletries among other things. The cabin has a nice firepit outside along with a pavilion that are a very nice place to share a campfire meal. Overall, we loved the place! The host was very kind and gave us some tips on how to make sure the pipes didn't freeze. The only negatives were: 1. The cleanliness of the place: While it was clear that the place had been tidied and there were no super gross parts, the owner missed several things, such as a Hershey bar wrapper, that were on the floor. 2. The driveway was very steep and gravel. With 4WD, we were able to drive on it with some snow, but without 4WD there is no chance we would have made it. Besides these small issues though, it was an idyllic place for a couple to relax and get some time away from the world!
