With 4 campsites on 75 acres, guests have ample privacy and space, with the freedom to roam this posted property that has no homes on it. Perched high above the Allegheny there are several spots to take in the wonderful views. There is also a waterfall with a 3’ deep pool below it. Great for splashing with kids or dogs, guests love exploring the creek bottom and making new discoveries. The more curious guests sometimes find the ruins of the original homestead, chimney and spring house that sit upstream. The property is teeming with wildlife. Birds and tree frogs will be the soundtrack of your visit, and often deer will be seen nosing along the outskirts of your site in the mornings and evenings. Turkey, bald eagles and even bear are occasionally spotted, so be prepared to secure your food and trash at night. For those coming to disconnect, you have found the right place. My husband and I, have been living here for twenty years and just enjoy the beauty this valley has to offer. We see bald eagles everyday, and every once in while some otters can be seen playing in the river. Black Fox Island is visible downstream and provides a pool in the river that is a mile long. A person can easily paddle upstream; when the river is at normal summer levels. Over 100 years ago, this was an industrial area with railroads, deep mines, strip mines, and gristmills. Some remnants of those times are still visible. Founded in 1955 as a campground, amusement park and pay to fish lake, lake lucy has a rich history of having families spending time together. After the death of lake lucys founder Raymond Mealy in 2007 the amusements and train were all removed as well as the zoo. The Steinman family purchased the property in 2017 and began remodeling the pavilion and putting in water and sewer lines to be able to use the campground and pavilion again. It has been a place for the Steinman and Mealy families and friends to enjoy for the last few years and we felt it was time to once again welcome the public to enjoy our property! We currently have 11 sites with full hookups (water, sewer, electric(50/30/20amp). The campground water will be turned off November 10th due to freezing temperatures. Top pond has bass and have caught bass over 20 inches with the largest being 23 inches and over 8 pounds. Both ponds have bass, crappie, perch, bluegill, and carp. We are within a few miles of a dollar store if any supplies are needed, a gas station is at the end of the road and we are only a few minutes from cook forest as well as the tionesta reservoir. Water is available on site for campers and campers can use the bath house. In the bath house there is 1 full bathroom with a shower and the other bathroom is just a half bath. Quiet and peaceful, come relax and enjoy time with your family at lake Lucy!   we are also conveniently located close to the bike trail near clarion as well as the bike trails in cook forest and oil creek state park. If you are looking to only hear nature this is not the homestead to choose. Not far from all of the amazing Ashtabula attractions. Super close to harbor and cute small towns, wineries, fun local shops, and Lake Erie beaches. Short drive to Erie PA not far from NY boarder. Lots of online delivery to us options. Outhouse available but no electricity and no bath house yet. Ask about sapling adoption!!! Such a beautiful location. The views were amazing. The hosts were super accommodating and kind. They were on site when we visited, and they offered to give my nieces and nephews a ride in their buggy. They had a blast. Kids and dogs loved trekking through the creek and exploring the waterfall. The open field was great for us to play all sorts of games. Played capture the flag at night. All in all a great time.

The property was peaceful, beautiful, and gave me everything I wanted out of a true camping experience — wildlife, wide open sky, and the kind of quiet you just can’t find at home. Even with storms rolling in overnight, it felt raw and real in the best way.

Weekend Trip to River Hills Above the Allegheny

Exactly as advertised. Great layout for groups, enough flat land for activities, and beautiful surroundings. Great trails on site. We made the adventurous trek down to the river from this site which took about 30 minutes. Trail was a tough challenge but we enjoyed it. The compost toilet was very clean, and it was great having the wood shed next to the site. Great communications from ownership and everything was very smooth. Highly recommend!

Plenty of space, and surrounded by wilderness.

Weekend Trip to Elevated RV Camping at Rustic Acres

We tented here for one night, and it was a very pleasant experience. The place was notably tidy and kept well in-order, and much of the property was very pretty. The tent sites in particular were nicely situated under a grove of well-spaced pines. Maybe a hundred yards down-hill from the sites a short foot path takes one through the woods to a very pretty creek, where we availed ourselves of much some much needed tranquility. (It's worth noting that if you like more privacy, though, while one side of the sites is wooded, on other side runs the road, across which sit some RV sites. So the level of seclusion is somewhat minimal, though no less than at any typical campground, and still they are segregated in their own area on the other side of the road.) The staff were courteous and very accomodating (they even lent us a grill for cooking, as we'd not brought one [note that the fire rings do not have grills]). All in all, it was a great time for a couple days of rest and reprieve.

A large shaded site, hidden in the woods. With a fire ring, picnic table and gravel road. Park right next to the site, no walk-in.

1 night at Elevated RV Camping at Rustic Acres

We stayed at campsite 95 and it felt really private. The Hub was also really useful to get a little work done that came up last minute. It did feel a little more RV park-y than I was expecting, but between all of the incredible amenities and how lovely our actual campsite was I didn't mind at all. Definitely Recommend!
