The Rachel Carson Trail and Baker trail are just a few miles away. It is a secluded log cabin in the woods on top of a hill overlooking a pasture. It is a very primitive cabin with a fireplace, brick floor, large porch, fabric interior and no chinking in the logs. We provide a bunk bed and cots and 2 picnic tables.. There is a large grassy area in front of the cabin for tents. There is no vehicle access, no electricity and no water at the cabin, but LOTS of downed wood for fires. Muddy Myst was the perfect get away from the city. It gave such a comforting, safe and woodsy feeling. It was also very warm during a cold night! I would suggest this lovely place to anyone needing a cozy spot to relax!

Weekend Trip to Neal Homestead Camp Sites

LOVED THE RUSTIC CABIN AND THE PROPERTY, WITH THE SOUND OF THE STREAM FLOWING OVER THE BIG ROCKS ...THE TREES WERE BEAUTIFUL AS WELL. THE CABIN IS WELL EQUIPED AND THE WOOD STOVE PROVIDES THE COZY FEELING !

Weekend Trip to The River Otter Den - Riverfront!

Amazing. From the view of the fall leaves and the Allegheny, to how nice the cabin was, to having a chimnied fire pit. Everything was perfect,. We usually do primitive sites, but I figured we could go glamping for once, and it was beyond anything I could expect. Meghan was super accommodating and a really nice host as well. 11/10 we'll definitely be back!

Weekend Trip to Ridge Top Retreat

Rebecca and her family were magnificent hosts for our family. They were so kind, and made sure we had everything we needed and more. The tent itself was so cozy and the bathroom very clean. We enjoyed making s’mores atvthe campfire and gazing at the beautiful starry sky. We even got to meet the farm animals before we left. It was a great to have our own private space and we highly recommend staying here!

Weekend Trip to Rustic Resort at the Farm

This was a very cool rustic A-frame loft, on a cute farm populated with several dogs and even more pigs. We had a great time around the campfire. Groceries and some good diners are a short drive.

Very private . Nicely kept tiny home. Had everything we needed. Bring sheets if sleeping bag and own towels. But I didn’t find that to be an issue. Great place for dogs as well.

Fantastic property! We rented the tree cabin but the tent sites also looked great. All the amenities you could ask for while still being rustic and private. We visited for our annual fall leaf peeping trip, but we fully intend to come back in the summer--we are excited to take advantage of the cute little pond for swimming and kayaking. Would highly recommend!!

Ridge Top Retreat is, by far, the most unique and well-done Hipcamps I’ve visited. The interior of the tent is beautifully decorated and the propane furnace kept it toasty warm on a cool fall evening. The “outhouse” has a portable toilet and a hot shower with an instant water heater powered by solar panels. The host provided plenty of firewood and even started a fire for us! With no ambient light, the stars and Milky Way were beautiful! The setting is gorgeous, set on a high spot with an incredible view across the hayfield to a beautiful country church and cemetery. I highly recommend this very special place.

Donnie's property is truly an unexpected little slice of heaven. From the property and amenities, to the welcomed animal interruptions during our detailed tour at the courtesy of Donnie...this place is truly something special. Although during our stay we were doing what some would classify as "glamping"; the amount of amenities and relaxing feeling they create makes it feel more like a country resort. We will definitely be back!

I booked the tree cabin to surprise my boyfriend with a one-night-getaway for his birthday, and we absolutely loved our time here. Liam did an incredible job with communicating important info via Hipcamp messaging, and he created a beautiful, serene atmosphere at Muddy Myst that made our stay wonderful. Everything was clean, private, and beautiful. We really appreciated the bathroom & common area amenities. We had an amazing stay and absolutely will come back and recommend to a friend. Our dog loved the adventure, too!

Donnie was amazing, so accommodating, kind soul. The amenities were way better than I expected them to be. What an incredible value for the price. Wonderful privacy. Beautiful views. The hot tub was phenomenal. The bathrooms and showers are awesome. There's a refrigerator and microwave in the common space. Took my mom here for a getaway and we will definitely be coming back.
