Tucked along the Allegheny River, our modern A-frame is a design-forward cabin blending cozy charm with contemporary style. Enjoy curated décor, a beautiful loft bedroom with cedar T&G ceilings, and stunning river views year-round. Sip coffee or wine on the deck, stargaze by the fire pit, and unwind in nature—just minutes from I-80 and near Emlenton and Foxburg. Perfect for kayaking, hiking, or simply escaping the noise. Welcome to your peaceful getaway on the Allegheny River—this brand-new, custom-built cabin (completed in 2025) combines A-frame charm with elevated modern comforts. Nestled right along the riverbank, it features rich cedar tongue-and-groove ceilings, dramatic Iron Ore-colored walls, and thoughtfully designed interiors that feel cozy, stylish, and serene. The layout includes two king bedrooms: one in the open loft above (ladder access with a 250lb weight limit), and a private platform king bedroom on the main floor—perfect for couples, friends, or a small group looking to escape. The full bathroom feels like a spa, with beautiful tile work, a walk-in shower, radiant in-floor heating, and even an overhead heater—all with peaceful river views from the shower. Cook in the fully stocked kitchen with all the essentials, then relax in the cozy living space that opens onto a balcony with sweeping views of the Allegheny River—ideal for morning coffee or golden hour. Grill a juicy burger on the propane Weber grill, then step down to the covered outdoor seating area with privacy fencing and a fire pit just a few feet away—your own hideaway for evening chats, s’mores, or stargazing. Whether you’re here to unwind, explore, or just breathe a little deeper, this newly built cabin offers a peaceful, private escape with modern amenities and unforgettable views. This property shares a driveway with two other cabins, one on either side. We’ve taken extra steps to preserve your privacy, including elevated window placement, privacy screens on outdoor spaces, and permanent balcony sides. You’ll also have direct access to the river, where you can fish from the bank, swim, or launch your kayaks. Cancellation Fee Policy: Please note that a 4% credit card cancellation fee will be applied.The River Otter Den is a beautiful new cabin situated along the banks of the Allegheny River. No shared amenities aside from the driveway. There is a gravel drive just off the roadway making it easily accessible - conveniently located only 5 minutes off of I-80. Guests have access to full kitchen, living space, spa-like bathroom with all the amenities, including radiant floor heating and rainfall shower head. The Best Weekend
The River Otter Den - Riverfront!
Amazing. From the view of the fall leaves and the Allegheny, to how nice the cabin was, to having a chimnied fire pit. Everything was perfect,. We usually do primitive sites, but I figured we could go glamping for once, and it was beyond anything I could expect. Meghan was super accommodating and a really nice host as well. 11/10 we'll definitely be back!
