The waterfront views were so perfect. We loved the proximity of the pool and the general store. Everyone was so nice. We also loved that we were able to have easy access to the river to paddle board. We will definitely be back!

Staff was extremely friendly. Clean campground. Plenty of amenities at the shop in case you forgot something like I did, or just need a quick snack/ice. Loved the riverfront access. And the hookups all worked perfectly. Would definitely come back.

2 nights at Fawn View Farm, Pond & Fields

Mary's place is tucked away amidst the rolling hills of rural northern Maryland, and it is truly a beautiful and peaceful place. There's a lot of space to camp and roam, and it's within a short drive of three local breweries, a state park, and beautiful Deer Creek, where we went tubing. It's a great home base or single destination. Everyone we encountered was extremely friendly, and we will definitely be returning. Thank you so much, Mary!

Weekend Trip to Duck Neck Campground

Not sure where to start. This campground is the most quiet I have been to, even with folks at their sites hanging out. Everything was clean - the general store, the restrooms. My neighbors were so kind as to help me with any questions as I was out with my new RV for the first trip (usually we tent camp). Depending on your equipment the site might be tight but was easily reconfigured to meet the needs. We hiked the campground trails in the morning. While I didn’t personally go in the pool our neighbors raved about it. Close enough to Chestertown and Rock Hall for unique horistical experiences. It is so close to home and we are already talking about how to swing seasonal stays to really experience it all.

Weekend Trip to Countryside Horse Farm

Loredana was a great host! She was very helpful guiding us to our site and helping us stay cool with homemade beet sorbet and providing ice when we needed it. We got to spend time with her and the horses petting and taking care of them one of the days. The campsite was absolutely beautiful and we had a great stay. I have nothing negative to say about Loredana or the camp site. We will definitely be coming back to spend more time with her and the horses for another relaxing weekend. There are also many places around the area if you need anything. Thank you so much for an amazing long weekend!

2 nights at Fawn View Farm, Pond & Fields

My grandson and I had an amazing visit to the farm. Mary greeted us and made a few suggestions for local entertainment. Sitting on the dock with a fishing pole was relaxing. Rocks state park water falls was by far our favorite local site. If you are looking for a quiet country setting stay here!

1 night at Creekside Orchard

We had a great time camping at site #4. It was a large site all the way at the end and private from the other sites. There was plenty of space for our large tent. The site has a hammock stand, picnic table, 2 large benches by the fire, and counter height food prep area next to an umbrella for shade if needed. It was also next to the HUGE firewood supply, it was great having so much firewood available! While there is access to the creek down a couple steps right in front of the site, there is also a very short path thru the woods that takes you to another access area where you can walk right in. The kids had fun braving the cold water in the creek, when we went the depth in the middle was up to a child's chest/ adult below the hip and not fast flowing so it was perfect and safe for the kids to swim. It did rain a lot overnight during our stay but the site did not get muddy and the creek swelled a little but nothing crazy. The site was shaded all morning which is good in the heat. The outhouse was a just a little walk away but a good distance from the site where it's not visible, plus it was clean and there was no smell inside. Shortly after arriving the host came to greet us and was very nice asking if we needed anything or had any questions. We would definitely stay again! Some things to do nearby around a 10 min drive away is rocks state park with hiking and picnic areas along the creek with more great swimming sites, and also close to Kilgore falls.

We had the most peaceful and restorative weekend at Loralei's Ark Farm & Retreat LLC From the moment we arrived, we were surrounded by nature, warmth, and serenity. The grounds are spacious and thoughtfully maintained, with plenty of quiet corners to relax and reconnect. The host Loradona is incredibly kind and accommodating, and you can truly feel the love and purpose behind everything she has created here—from the cozy fire pit and beautiful views to the friendly animals that made our stay even more special. 🐐🐓🦙 We had a great time cooking, laughing, enjoying nature walks, and just slowing down together. Whether you're looking for a spiritual reset, a nature retreat, or a family camping weekend, this place is a hidden gem. The peaceful vibes and intentional atmosphere make it more than just a place to stay—it’s a place to breathe. Thank you Loralei’s Ark for providing such a beautiful space for rest, reflection, and connection to nature. Beautiful and peaceful place, very spacious, and lovely house pasture. Close to orchard, cider and river access. Excellent amenities: wash station, trash can, toilets. Had a great time.

Weekend Trip to Elmlock Acres Camping on the Canal

We arrived and the fire was started for us. M.J. had an Ozark tent set up with a little table and chairs. A small box on the table had matches, bug defense, darts etc… A night lantern was there as well as a hand full of tiki lights surrounding the edge of the site. On the property is a private camping potty with a curtain. The constant sound of the water was amazing!

We chose Pond site #2 because we wanted to spend our entire camping trip fishing, and this site did not disappoint. When the weather was nice the fish were consistently biting, but the bass stopped when the temperature dropped below 75. Altogether, My two friends and I caught 46 bass and 80+ sunfish. The host was nice and accommodating. The location was semi secluded, with a house and apartment a couple hundred yards away, but for the most part it felt like you’re camping in the woods. If I had to complain about anything it would probably be that the weeds in the pond were a little out of control in some areas, but the host mentioned that they’re looking to fix that. And I’m definitely looking forward to our next stay here!

2 nights at Bellview Farm

We had the best time camping here! This charming farm exceeded our expectations in every way. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed by peaceful fields, friendly farm animals, and a thoughtful setup that made camping easy and fun for the whole family. The sites are spacious, clean, and easy to find. We especially loved staying at the Ewe Camp, which was a bit further from the other sites and gave us that perfect mix of intimacy and adventure. The racetrack was a huge hit—great for a morning walk, a scavenger hunt, or just letting the kids run around safely. The horses and sheep were a big highlight, and our kids were thrilled by the construction trucks working around the farm. It gave them so much to watch and explore. Even though it’s an active horse farm, there were no smells and no flies by camp, which was a pleasant surprise. Karen was amazing—she checked in to make sure we had everything we needed. The amenities were well thought out: picnic tables, firewood, a cozy fire circle, trash bins, and a water station with soap. The porta potty was clean and stocked with toilet paper and Clorox wipes. Close to Calvert Park and Plumpton Park Zoo. A great, low-stress spot—especially for first-time campers and families!

3 nights at Shambala at Mystic Hollow

Close to the water. My dog was able to run free. Mel was a great help in transferring our camping equipment to and from the site.

Shambala at Mystic Hollow

Pitch your tent along Irish Creek under a canopy of Maples at Mystic Hollow. Irish Creek, which is a stream, is a tributary to the Schuylkill River. Site are a 5 minute walk from main house. The land is flat for walking to the camping area. A slight bit bumpy in a small area. I can manage just fine in flip flops but I did want to provide the information if anyone would be using a wheelchair. There is also a small bridge that goes over a small strip of wetlands. Fire rings are included. Tables can be provided. Just let us know ahead of time. I can haul your gear to your spot with tractor and wagon if needed. There is a port-a-potty close by. We are flexible with check-in and check-out times if we are not at full capacity. Just let us know ahead of time if you want to check in or out earlier or later. We allow dogs. They must be on leashes unless they are friendly and play well with others. You must clean up your dog's poop! No exceptions! We are 5 minutes from the Schuylkill River. 10 minutes from Ontelaunee Lake. 15 minutes from Blue Marsh. 15 minutes from the Appalacian Trail. Trail heads nearby would be Port Clinton, Hamburg, Bernville, Bethel, Blue Rocks, Kempton... 20 minutes from Hawk Mountain. We are an hour from Jim Thorpe. There are several wineries in the area including Long Trout Winery where wine is cool and hippy chicks rule! My favorite! Lots of wildlife in the area. Expect to hear owls, blue heron, cows, goats, chickens, horses, hawks, eagles, dogs, racoons and coyotes. There is a good chance of being visited by racoons at night if your food isn't stored away properly. Also, the deer may walk past in the middle of the night as well. We do also get wild turkey during different times of the year. Hiking, kayaking, tubing, fishing, mountain biking, bike trails, etc... all nearby. Sadly there are no fish in Irish Creek worth catching. The Crayfish are! As with any land situated along a water source, there is always a possibility of flooding. We flood maybe once a year, once every other year. If that should happen, we will assist in hauling gear. There is higher ground for tents to be set up if need be. There will also be rooms available to rent in the near future. Please don't hesitate to contact us with questions. 420 friendly. LGBTQ friendly. If you are coming from out of state: Pennsylvania has a quarantine order for untreated firewood entering the state to protect its forests from invasive species. Firewood must be kiln dried, heat treated, fumigated, or USDA certified to enter the state. However, commercially imported wood that has been heat-treated according to USDA regulations typically doesn't fall under these bans.

Grampy's Red Rock Rabbit Ranch

There he resides: a good-hearted curmudgeon, a handyman, a grumpy, Ywengling-drinking philosopher, the wittiest mason, carpenter, roofer, etc. you'll ever meet. I'm his grandson, a documentary filmmaker helping to make ends meet here by sharing this glorious space with Hip Campers. 50 acres of serene woods, fields, a pond, and Mine Run Creek. This is a place to relax, to get in touch with nature and reconnect with the people you love. Spring Mount Adventures is nearby. The Perkiomen Creek Trail is only a mile away. Crawfish, sycamore trees, foxes, pileated woodpeckers, and more! Caring for the land: please do not collect your own firewood on the land. That wood is decomposing and contributing to the health of the forest, providing numerous habitats for bugs. Note on dogs: we run a dog-sitting business, so there may be a pack (2-5) of dogs that come through the woods with us on walks. All dogs we sit are friendly towards humans. Food recs: Raw Replenish in downtown Schwenksville has healthy smoothies and salads. Thai Spice is ten minutes away. Trouble's End brewing is 15 minutes away in Collegeville, with delicious beer and a Spicy Chicken sandwich.

Our horse farm is located in one of the most rural areas of Southern New Jersey. This land was once occupied by The Lanape Tribe. The adjacent creek was named after Chief Alloway. Artifacts of Native Americans have been found alongside this brackish water creek. This farm was for many years a dairy farm which was passed on for 3 generations until the late 80's. Our main horse breeds are Arabs followed by Thoroughbreds and 4 miniature ponies. In addition to horses you will see free range rabbits, chickens and Mss. Moo our beautiful cow. There are many antique shops in this area which tell the rich History of Southern NJ. Cowen mall and Royal Port are my two favorites. Welcome to creek-side camping on our picturesque 16 acre farm! Here are a few ground rules to help with your stay -PLEASE READ SO NONE OF THIS IS A SURPRISE-: -Dogs are permitted if they are friendly and are trained well enough to listen and stay at your site. Again, they must stay at your site unless walking with you on a leash. If your dog inflicts damage to the sites (digging holes, chewing up piles of sticks, chewing up toys to bits etc. please clean up after your dogs. We will provide shovels, rakes if you need!) - OVERLANDERS: You can bring your overland camper if you want, but you must park your vehicle in the parking spot across from your site at sites 1-3. It is a safety issue to block the entryway/exit lane. Site 4 is large enough to accommodate your vehicle and these rules do not apply there. -This is a place for relaxation and reflection by the creek. No loud groups, or partying allowed. If your neighbor can hear your music it is too loud. If your host can hear it, you will be asked to turn it down or off all together. -This is a pack it in, pack it out site. This includes food waste, dog waste, and any garbage produced. Please respect that :) DO NOT ATTEMPT TO BURN ANY WASTE IN THE FIRE RING BEFORE CHECKING OUT. -There is NO FISHING, kayaking or boating. Go for a swim and float, no prob! But please float in the vicinity of your camp, so as not to disturb other campers. - Please do not invite visitors to your campsite.
