Many adventures to be had here on the central coast. Your hosts are avid surfers and cyclists and can help direct you to the best spots to match your skill level. The property is close to town as well as bike loops, gravel roads and trails. We're also close to the beach. Within a short drive surfers of all levels can find something fun to ride nearly everyday of summer and fall. The 18 hole golf course is just down the street from the property and the town of Waldport is 2 miles away. Yachats is a short 12 minute drive to the south where you can find amazing restaurants where they serve fresh roasted coffee along with a large menu of drinks and treats at places such as The Green Salmon Cafe. White sand beaches are located just down the hill from us where you can walk all the way from the mouth of the Alsea river to the mouth of the Yachats river. Forested and easily accessible walking trails are also nearby. South of the property is Cape Perpetua - a natural wonderland with whales, tide pools, blowholes and a 26 mile trail system. Bird watching at its finest! Not to mention the view of Old Town! This little slice of rugged heaven is just above the Siuslaw River and right off of Hwy 101. There is a steep gravel driveway, but once at the top, it is flat, and the view is pretty amazing. From camp, you can see Old Town. Gaze down at the Siuslaw River and all the wildlife that comes with it! We regularly see deer, red-tailed hawks, ospreys, and bald eagles. We have also had a bear that passes through, so beware of leaving food out. There are plenty of places to hike and visit nearby dunes, rivers, lakes, parks, and the ocean. Enjoy Florence's amazing food (ask the host for her favorites). It is quite an "up and down" walk to Old Town for dinner, or you can bring back take-out and eat it in the tiny house (no electricity or running water). Take a short walk to Prichard State Park for clamming or just relax with a book and feel the breeze off the river. Whatever you enjoy, we’re sure you can find something close by!

River View is located in Glenada. No bathroom or running water, but there are 2 electrical plugs (110V and 220V) available at the pole. We have a free-range farm atmosphere, with 2 kids, 2 large dogs, 2 cats, and 12 chickens. We allow Hip Campers to bring animals on the property with the understanding that they are not allowed in the tiny house and that they are good around children and other animals, as our kids and pets are often running around the land. We have firewood and fresh eggs for additional fees. THERE IS NO TOILET on the property. This is not a tent camping site unless you bring your own portable toilet set up. No smoking in the Tiny House. This rustic property is close enough to Hwy 101 and downtown to be convenient, but far enough away to enjoy all the wildlife the Siuslaw River has to offer. Bird watching at its finest! Not to mention the view of Old Town! This little slice of rugged heaven is just above the Siuslaw River and right off of Hwy 101. There is a steep gravel driveway, but once at the top, it is flat, and the view is pretty amazing. From camp, you can see Old Town. Gaze down at the Siuslaw River and all the wildlife that comes with it! We regularly see deer, red-tailed hawks, ospreys, and bald eagles. We have also had a bear that passes through, so beware of leaving food out. There are plenty of places to hike and visit nearby dunes, rivers, lakes, parks, and the ocean. Enjoy Florence's amazing food (ask the host for her favorites). It is quite an "up and down" walk to Old Town for dinner, or you can bring back take-out and eat it in the tiny house (no electricity or running water). Take a short walk to Prichard State Park for clamming or just relax with a book and feel the breeze off the river. Whatever you enjoy, we’re sure you can find something close by!

The spot was easy to find. The view is really nice. We booked for only one night as we were just looking for a safe night to sleep while fishing the Siuslaw. We sat up our sleeping mats and blankets and slept inside the little tiny building in the property. We brought our own bathroom set up. It worked out really nice for what we needed. We will stay again!
