Welcome to Squared Roots Farm, a Garlic Farm and homestead in Alsea, Oregon. We specialize in gourmet hardneck garlic and sustainable farming practices. (IG @squaredrootsfarm) On our farm we grow veggies and flowers. We raise Nigerian dwarf goats, chickens, and honey bees. You will be staying in a 16ft Pacific yurt built on raised deck that has a covered deck for shade and rainy days. There is plenty of space for additional tents and RV campers to join! There is a fire pit, picnic table, full propane grill and composting toilet. There is also a wonderful warm wood stove for staying cozy! You can swim in the creek right next to the site or walk over to the North Fork of the Alsea River where there is 1/2 mile of river access and great winter steelhead fishing too. Close to the farm is world class mountain biking, hiking, fishing, waterfalls, great views, and surfing on the Oregon coast. The camp spot is a very private grassy nook nestled next to Honey Grove Creek. There are nature trails on the property with blackberry bushes. We offer farm fresh eggs, firewood bundles, and as the garden begins to ramp up- we will offer all the veggies to campers including goat cheese! We can do cash or Venmo payments. Yaquina Bend camp can accommodate 6 campers in all. The camp is 2 acres along the Yaquina River headwaters in the coastal hills, surrounded by forest and valley praries. The fire pit includes a grill and seats so no need to pack chairs. Beach access along the Yaquina River is great for swimming and innertubing in the summer. We have some advanced terrain please use the rope to assist you in getting into the water. Only 20 minutes from the Newport, this camp can make a great home base for day trips to the beach, restaurants, and shops. Yaquina-Bend is the perfect place to relax, connect with nature, and spend quality time with friends and family.

We have a one acre lot in the city. Our 22' Tipi with access to a full bathroom (shower, sink, toilet). You may also camp in your own tent or vehicle. Get a fire going under our 20' x 30' canvas shelter and cook dinner or work on crafts (we use this space to teach bushcraft and survival skills classes). Pick plums, cherries, pears, apples and wild blackberries when in season. It's a 1 minute walk to access the best coffee shop and cafe in town. Our camp feels a little like you are in the country while being within walking distance of large city parks (Avery Park and Willamette Park), swimming holes, grocery stores and restaurants. As an urban site, you may hear street traffic on Hwy 99, although it's subtle. There is urban light from both a street light and the storage units on the North border of the property. The Tipi itself offers some barrier to these lights, however, if you want to be in a really dark location and see all the stars, this is probably not the site for you. Also, during the rainy season, the tipi isn't waterproof. We are close to Oregon State University campus (15 min bike ride, 30 min walk) and easy access to I-5 corridor (about 15 min drive). We host you as a family of 3 including our young daughter who might try to get you to pick blackberries with her.

I enjoyed Tipi in town as I felt well cared for. I visited in drippy November and the hosts checked in routinely, supplied me with wood for the stove and provided an extra sleeping bag for comfort. As a dog owner, I was delighted by proximity to Willamette and Avery parks for wiggles and sniffs.

Great spot to stay in Corvallis. Host was very accommodating and the stay was quite comfortable. Noise level was about to be expected for being in town, but certainly not bothersome. Would def stay there again when in Corvallis.

The tipi, land, amenities, and bathroom were exactly as described, as shown in pics, but the experience was better! Dan and Rebecca were fabulous hosts, gave us suggestions of local areas to check out, answered questions, made sure we had everything we needed to be comfortable. Dan even took some archery time with my daughter, very special. The wood stove in the tipi works really well and kept it toasty! Make sure to bring sleeping pads and bags. Our dogs did well, loved it there. Definitely recommend- we’ll be back for sure!

Fantastic! We booked last minute and arrived after dark. We had such a comfortable stay, and were in awe of the creek right behind us in the morning light. The bed is incredibly comfy, and we were perfectly comfortable. This place is moments from mine and my kid's favorite place to go catch crawdads. I would absolutely book again.

Weekend Trip to Agate Beach Oasis

The location was amazing, right across the highway from the ocean, with several close points of access. Sarah pointed us to some local, quieter sections of the beach to access. The hot tub was perfect for this location, both to warm up from cooler Newport days (was high of 70 in Newport, while Portland/Salem were over 100) and to drown out noise from the highway. Also nice to have an outdoor fireplace, and fenced yard for pups. Only issue was bottoming out as I exited with our 45’ toy hauler. However, Victor and Sarah were incredibly helpful getting us out safely. Victor even shoveled the road to level things out a bit (and sounds like they are planning on upgrading the path to get out after our struggles). Overall, the nicest and most helpful hosts we’ve stayed with. Price was on the higher end for sure, but we did find it last minute for Labor Day weekend so given that, and all the benefits (escaping blazing heat and getting a place to ourselves on the beach with hot tub) it was relatively reasonable.

This spot definitely was a gem! Very quiet and private :) the kids loved the room to run and play, especially in the river. We were able to use our paddle boards to explore. The outdoor kitchen was one of the best features. We brought our small RV and we were able to cook and do dishes outside, which is a plus because it can get quite crowded in the RV at times. The string lights were a great addition for the evening s'more time!

We had a fantastic time at this spot! Everything was provided. I especially loved the teepee and bell tent. The provided cot was plenty cozy. The compost toilet was clean and kept up. It's right on a road, but very few cars came by in the four days we were there. The river was a great escape from the heat. I highly recommend this spot!

Hollie’s hip camp is well stocked in a beautiful area. The teepee and canvas tent held several cots to sleep on. The site was very clean and well thought out. The river is very clear about waste high in most areas, deep enough to float. Even though it is right off of the highway the traffic is very light and was not noisy. I would definitely recommend this site.

Our stay at Jeremy and Dana’s place was outstanding! The yurt was super cute and clean, very comfortable bed, and nice deck. The property, the views, and the peacefulness were even better! We walked to the river, enjoyed the sound of the creek behind the yurt, had fires in the fire pit and absolutely loved our stay. Will definitely be back!
