8 campsites and 2 original Mongolian Gers. The season for the camp sites is from June 1st to end of Sept and the Gers for 2025/2026 winter are blocked out from Nov 15/25 to May 15/26. Pets allowed, toilets on site, campfires permitted when burn ban is not in place. Now up until this year I have provided Free Firewood. I have quit doing that for a variety of reasons, the least being the cost and the work for me. I am encouraging everyone to purchase a Propane Fire Pit if you don't have one by now. I am not to the point yet of saying no big dogs. Talk to me if you think your "big dog" might not fit in. I don't like them running thru other campers sites, so just be respectful. Take them for walks along the lake.. No Yappers, no barking dogs, no pain in the butts. Why would you drive by 46 grocery stores and forget to bring ice? No loud music. I have changed quiet time to 9:00 PM. If you need to listen to the chaos/stressful music I suggest you start a band or become a DJ. What I want folks to get out of being here, whether they are camping or staying in the Gers is just to “take a break”. Relax, appreciate, assess and just listen. I hope what you hear is the sound of life and of course all the Angels that make up this special piece of Heaven. Then there is the silence. The best part of “Heaven”.

We are located in Southern Oregon. We are off exit 88 on Interstate 5 in Azalea, Oregon. This is a great location if you are traveling or road tripping to any destination along the West Coast of North America! Take a day trip to Crater Lake and Diamond Lake. We also recommend that you visit the Galesville reservoir about 5 minutes up the road. The yurt has a queen sized loft bed with cotton sheets, a warm cotton comforter with duvet cover, a woodstove, and a folding mattress. You are also welcome to bring your own sleeping gear. *LEAVE NO TRACE, just as you would when camping = please pack out your own trash* There is a wood stove for the winter months, a solar powered refrigerator, a propane stove and oven, along with a sink, and kitchen countertop space. Basic kitchen ware like: utensils, plates, bowls, Italian stove top coffee maker, off grid blender, cooking pots, pans, etc. We provide plant based dish soap, hand soaps, and shampoo. There is a composting toilet and outdoor shower with a propane water heater for warm showers. Please bring your own bath towel. Please confirm you can walk up a staircase. There is a picnic table in the pasture, with several wooden log type chairs. There is internet available on the picnic table by the main house front deck. Connect to the internet via ethernet. We have a usb-c converter, an Apple converter, and a usb drive to access the internet through ethernet. This is a glamping experience, partially off-grid, and we hope that you take the time to unplug. All of our farm goods are available for sale. Be sure to ask about orchard raised fresh eggs, neighbor's milk, seasonal fruit jam, fresh fruit and berries, vegetables, and sprouted nut butter. We are located near the Galesville Reservoir and about 1.5 hours from Crater Lake. The site is easily accessible. You will have a view of the pasture, gardens, greenhouse, orchards and the host's private residence. Eagle Mountain Farm and Retreat is located in a picturesque, healthy forest outside Cottage Grove, Oregon. We offer two tent sites, a 20' yurt, and an intimate bedroom bungalow, available year-round for Hipcamp guests. Our mountain property sits at the end of a private residential road, close to I-5 and downtown Cottage Grove. Alongside the hosts’ house, there are a few other residents on the property. The area is rich with recreation opportunities, including biking, hiking, canoeing, boating, mushroom hunting, swimming, hunting and fishing, gold panning, rockhounding, and wildlife viewing. Eugene and the University of Oregon campus (including Hayward Field) are just 30 minutes away. It’s about an hour to the Oregon Coast, 15 minutes to Cottage Grove Lake, and 30 minutes to Dorena Reservoir. Umpqua National Forest is also nearby, with stunning waterfalls such as Spirit, Moon, and Pinard Falls only 45 minutes to an hour away. The Cottage Grove area is known for its covered bridges, mining history, and the scenic Row River Trail bike path. Film buffs may recognize local spots from Buster Keaton’s The General, Stand By Me, and Animal House. You’ll also find nearby farms, breweries, and vineyards offering tours and tastings. Situated next to our home on a 55 acre farm, our yurt provides a peaceful, relaxing space for up to 5 people. THE SPACE The 20' Pheasant Creek Yurt is completely yours during your stay. Bathroom area in the main house may be shared. For the yurt, there is a queen futon for sitting or sleeping, a double futon bunk/couch with a twin above, dining table with chairs, sink and counter space with toaster/convection oven, mini-fridge, dishes and cutlery, coffee pot, rocking chair, wood stove, and other amenities. Your stay will also include space for 2 cars, access to the charcoal grill, deck seating, and access to pasture, creek, and forest to wander. We are located 15 miles from King Estate and other local wineries, 15 miles from the Covered Bridge Scenic Bikeway, 45 miles from Eugene, and 2 hours from the coast, the mountains, and Portland. While the location is quiet and secluded, we are still an easy 5 minutes to I-5. Yurt door is usually left unlocked, and we have not had any security issues. Upon request, we can provide guests with a key during their stay. Unfortunately these accommodations are not ADA-accessible at this time. OTHER THINGS TO NOTE People from all backgrounds are welcome, but hate has no home here. Please respect our neighbors - we tend to wave to each other while in the neighborhood. Other residents at this property include: 4 dogs (Duffy and Hamish, Leia and Suleyman), a flock of Romney sheep, 12 hens, 1 donkey (Gracie), 2 potbelly pigs (Hamlet and Pig), 3 cats (Apollo, Minerva, Zelda, and Opal), and multiple geese. Farm access is available upon instruction (proper gate security is a must!) Unfortunately pets are not allowed at this time because of the animals. If you are a fiber artist--spinner, knitter, weaver, you may be interested in our fiber business Loose Ends Fiberworks, which is located onsite. We have lots of raw fleece, carded wool bats, and more. Seasonal access to fresh garden produce and fresh farm eggs may be available.

Everything about our stay at David's was incredible, starting with him. After pre-arrival instructions/how-to from him, he greeted us upon arrival to give us a lay of the Ger along with a lay of the land. He is a kind, straight-shooting man with an INCREDIBLE story (I'd encourage a chat with him). The Ger and the land were amazing. We had everything we needed for an elevated and unique camping experience within the Ger. Outside, David stewards a prime lakefront beach property, idyllic in so many ways, not the least of which is it's quite serenity. I'll definitely be coming back and encourage you to visit.

We had so much fun sleeping in the yurt at East Lake. David was a welcoming host, and he was so unique and fun to talk with too. His property is so special. The boats and paddleboard were fun and it was fun letting my dog run. He loved it; definitely in his element as a lake dog. The yurt was well equipped with everything you could need to cook and it was clean and comfortable. Obsidion speckled the roads and was fun to collect. May daughter and I walked along the edge of the lake all the way to the resort, which was so peaceful and fun. The camping area seemed so fun too- lots of space. The energy was really special. We want to go back and stay longer! Hopefully next summer!

What a unique and fun experience! I've enjoyed camping at David's property before, but this was our first time staying in the Ger. It has everything we needed for a quick overnighter. We made use of the BBQ on the deck as it was quite hot to cook inside. The access to the private Lakeshore and the water is lovely!

We had a great time in The Osprey yurt. It is well equipped and a cozy place to spend the night. The kitchen is well equipped and it has a fire pit on the deck that is great for smores. The host was very friendly and offered water and other supplies. My daughter said the portapotty was the nicest she had ever seen and it did indeed smell very clean. We enjoyed the boats that are free to use, walking the beach, and finding obsidian.

We enjoyed a great stay at the Osprey! Beautiful, comfortable yurt, thoughtfully outfitted with everything you want: sitting chairs, couch, electric outlets, refrigerator, toaster oven, hot water kettle, camp stove, utensils, even a gas grill and WiFi! Leave your gear at home! Beautiful covered deck with picnic table to enjoy the birds and chipmunks. An assortment of water toys for guests including canoes, row boats, and paddle boards line the beach. Ultra clean porta potties for guests, as there is no running water. David is on site and extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Take time to chat with an incredible man to learn about his incredible experiences. He is the real deal!

This place truly is something special. The ger was plenty of space for our 4 person family, and it was very clean and fully stocked with everything we could’ve needed and more! You really do not need to bring much. We did bring queen sheets for the pull out, but there were plenty of blankets available to keep warm in the chilly evenings. It does get chilly in the ger at night, so plan accordingly. The buddy heater was super efficient at warming it early in the mornings. If you’re traveling with littles, you’ll need to keep a close eye on them (as you would), because the decks are built on the side of a hill with a steep drop off. We brought our 18 month old, and it was totally fine. Dave was an incredible host! He was very generous, fun to speak with, and was there to answer any questions we had. His pup Stormy was sweet with the kiddos. There was lots of wild life, chipmunks, rabbits, deer, eagles, and more. While there we enjoyed kayaking, nearby hot springs, hiking, fishing, and swimming. If you’re looking for a magical and serene adventure on a beautiful lake, with an awesome host, but one that doesn’t require you to pack for tent camping, this is the spot for you! We are already planning for our return next year.

My partner and I truly loved everything about our stay on this beautiful farm. Andrew and Lale were incredibly welcoming and helpful, and their cat Bella and the sweetest toddler Aslan made us feel right at home. We enjoyed exploring the nearby reservoir and soaking in the peaceful nature—Cow Creek is just across the road! The view was amazing, and I especially loved the beautiful sunflowers blooming all around this sweet little farm :) The yurt was cozy and thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed, from kitchen appliances and a small fridge to a backup battery for power. The king-size bed was super comfortable, and everything was spotless. We really appreciated the farm’s sustainable lifestyle—zero-waste practices, composting, and a clean, thoughtful approach to living. We definitely look forward to coming back!
