I am going to be in early this year because of the lack of snow. I am going in March 22nd. I have taken the block off of the Gers and the camp sites.
8 campsites and 2 original Mongolian Gers.
The season for the camp sites is from June 1st to end of Sept and the Gers for 2025/2026 winter are blocked out from Nov 15/25 to May 15/26.
Pets allowed, toilets on site, campfires permitted when burn ban is not in place. Now up until this year I have provided Free Firewood. I have quit doing that for a variety of reasons, the least being the cost and the work for me. I am encouraging everyone to purchase a Propane Fire Pit if you don't have one by now.
I am not to the point yet of saying no big dogs. Talk to me if you think your "big dog" might not fit in. I don't like them running thru other campers sites, so just be respectful. Take them for walks along the lake.. No Yappers, no barking dogs, no pain in the butts.
Why would you drive by 46 grocery stores and forget to bring ice?
No loud music. I have changed quiet time to 9:00 PM. If you need to listen to the chaos/stressful music I suggest you start a band or become a DJ.
What I want folks to get out of being here, whether they are camping or staying in the Gers is just to “take a break”.
Relax, appreciate, assess and just listen.
I hope what you hear is the sound of life and of course all the Angels that make up this special piece of Heaven.

'Royal Heart Hill' is at the very end of a Dead-End road, which means no sound or light pollution from passing cars or nearby residences. Surrounded by BLM and Timber properties, while being 6 miles from downtown CG (7 miles from the I5) and 30 miles from downtown Eugene.
All guests have access to the outdoor shower, which is connected to the Dome. Please use biodegradable soap in the shower! Potable water spigots are located by the carport and at the top of the steps leading down to our platform site. Each site has its own composting toilet, fire-pit, electrical outlet and hammock.
Nearby access to: two lakes for swimming and fishing, waterfalls and cliff-jumping, hiking and biking trails, dining, wineries, breweries, shopping and more. I am happy to offer suggestions and share what I know- please ask!
UPDATE: The timber acreage that borders our property- to the west and north of Overholser Road- was harvested winter 2024.
The property consists of Oak savanna, mixed conifer woodland, camas meadow, undulating hills and a SMALL pond (home to many rough-skinned newts- no swimming or fishing). At our domestead we practice permaculture, native habitat restoration and regenerative forestry.
Poison oak is present on the property! I have done my best to clear it from camping areas and trails. Tecnu is provided in the outdoor shower.
There is a mile long loop that goes around the whole property, which we keep mowed and accessible. Hipcampers are encouraged to use the loop to explore the property. To access- walk south/downhill toward the pond signs and follow the mowed path through the meadow and back up toward the road, which will take you back to your campsite. I have included a screenshot of the loop as recorded by my Strava app, which is in the property photos.
The property hosts a geodesic play-dome and slack-line (during the dry months) up by the green dome/outdoor shower. Guests may play on these at their own risk- the closest hospital is 7 miles away.

Our property has been in business in one way or another for over 70 years. The stick built cabins are pre 1950's and no one really knows for sure how old they truly are. We are located on Fort Creek named after the creek that ran through Fort Klamath. Fort Creek is a beautiful 30' wide meandering creek that runs the length of the property north to south. We offer free use of our Old Town Canoes to paddle along it's extent and on up creek to a beaver damn. There is a fun hiking trail that runs over two bridges that span the creek, one covered and one floating. We also offer free catch and release fishing, there are Rainbow and Brown Trout in our waters.
Fort Klamath is the birthplace and home of the US Army 1st Cavalry and our property is located on the the Forts Southeastern grounds. We are 9 miles from the southern border of the National Park and 23 miles from the southern Rim and Rim Village.

Bring your kids, bring your dogs; enjoy the beautiful setting. We have a few kayaks, or there are rental kayaks available nearby.
NOTE: Please be aware that the mosquitos can be very bad here at times.
Power has recently been going out more frequently due to the Pacific Power's "advanced safety settings". When the power is out the well pump is out, so there is no water. I am happy to provide buckets of river water for "flushing toilets" and pay for showers at the Klamoya Travel Center. I will not be giving refunds for a situation over which I have no control.

We are located in southern Oregon near Crater Lake NP, just off of hwy 62, part of the Rogue-Umpqua Scenic Byway, more commonly known as the "highway of waterfalls" and near the little town of Prospect on what is known as the beautiful side of Crater Lake NP. Three waterfalls, the Prospect Cafe, and the Historic Hotel are all within a two-mile radius. If you're after that famous pie at Beckie's Cafe, you are 10 minutes close.
Our 100 acre ranch allows us to host guests in their own RV's, at camp/tent sites, or in our new A-frame Cabin all located in private, and even secluded, sites. Several well maintained trails wind throughout the property and can be enjoyed by guests. Nature enthusiasts enjoy the hiking, wildlife viewing, and the beautiful ponds and woods.
Crater Lake Woodlands is part of the historic Katydid Ranch. Once owned by Boise Cascade who used it both for growing seedlings to replant logged mountain sides and as a vacation getaway for their executives, the story of Katydid Ranch goes back to the early 1900's when it's owner named "Katy" used it as the "half-way" overnight lodging for horse buggy guests traveling to Crater Lake from the Rogue Valley. Leaving the valley at the crack of dawn, they could arrive at "Katy's" by nightfall, in time for a meal and sound mountain sleep. They'd hitch up at dawn and make it to Crater Lake by nightfall.
Historically, the first residents were the Rogue River Takelma and Latgawa native Americans. Latgawa lived in the Rogue Valley of interior southwest Oregon. In their own language "Latgawa" means "those living in the “uplands," though they were also known as the Walumskni by the neighboring Klamath tribes. Specifically, Ha-ne-sakh. The Latgawa were one of two peoples who spoke the Takelma language. They were hunters, gatherers, weavers and fished the Rogue River. They were known to have a stationary settlement and trading post at the Katydid Ranch location. Their tribes lived in the upper Rogue River area extending beyond Prospect and Union up to Crater Lake.
Since we've owned the Ranch, we've maintained the custom of welcoming overnight guests and at the same time, we continue to honor the protected wildlife designation given to it back in the 50's. Wildlife viewing is one the delights we share with our guests. Please be mindful of native wildlife keeping dogs on leash so as to avoid chasing and barking at wildlife. Thank you.
The animals here include, but are not limited to black tail deer, elk, fox, coyote, ringtailed cat, raccoon, skunk, and also typically farther up the mountain are the elusive mountain lions and black bear which we have never spotted on our property. The ponds and surrounding area are home to migratory to the Oregon Pond turtle, Canada geese, quail, wild turkeys, various owls including the great horned owls, hawks, cranes and eagles. Our pond bird watcher friends spotted Common Mergansers, Ring Necked Ducks, Canada Geese…and a Loon. The bull frogs orchestrate the evening and can be heard at times throughout the day. Katydid Ranch is a wildlife sanctuary.
The flora and fauna of the forest is abundant and diverse. This land is home to many native grasses, ferns, and berries, wild flowers, as well as many other edible and medicinal plants and numerous varieties of mushrooms. If you are visiting during blackberry season, feel free to pick, pick, pick and indulge.
Katydid trees include old growth Douglas Fir, Ponderosa, Sugar, and Jeffrey Pine, various Cedar tree varieties, Incense Cedar, the majestic Pacific Madrone, Alder, Big Leaf Maple, Black and White Oak, Dog wood, and Vine Maple. You may also spot the prolific wild hazelnuts. As Forest Stewards, we are committed to maintaining a well balanced and diverse forest ecosystem.

This 200 acre property is located within the Cascade Siskiyou National Monument, a land bridge where two mountain ranges meet, creating immense biodiversity and natural beauty. Soda Spring is a bourgeoning community tended land located on the unceded territories of the Shasta, Takilma, Latgawa and Klamath peoples, just 10 minutes from the south end of Ashland, Oregon. The property is primarily oak savannah and pastureland, with adjacent fir/pine and madrone/manzanita forests and hillsides. The land sits in a valley where both Soda Creek and Carter Creek enter in to Emigrant Creek as it flows onward to Emigrant Lake, just a mile away. The land is being stewarded by a small group of humans and large community of wildlife and insects. Together we are slowly creating something special... including community event and classroom spaces, gardens, orchards, holistically managed ranch lands, campgrounds and wild places.
Please note that we are a working farm with sheep, cattle, horses, chickens, turkeys, dogs, cats, pigeons and bees. We ask that you are considerate to all the life happening on the land, observing animals at a distance (except the cats, who will not allow for that) and being aware of electric fences. If you bring dogs to the land, (an option only with RV sites) do so at your own risk. Dogs will need to be leashed at all times and cleaned up after meticulously. Mobile phones connect through WiFi. The cabin is non-smoking. Children six years and up are welcome.
Summer recreational areas are nearby with miles of trails, including the Pacific Crest Trail, are nearby. Howard Prairie Lake is across the road. Howard Prairie Lake is a local favorite for fishing for Rainbow Trout and smallmouth bass. Birdwatchers can see eagles, pelicans, geese, ducks, hawks, herons, and many other bird species.
A 25-minute drive will take you to Lake of the Woods, where you can dine, hike, and kayak, or snowshoe and cross-country ski in the winter. Crater Lake National Park is 65 miles away.

We have discovered that Laughing Mountain is not just a physical place on a mountain top, it is also a metaphysical entity that has dreamt itself awake. The irony of the fact that the creation of Laughing Mountain, has been nothing but blood, sweat and tears, pays homage to the reality that just like us, this mountain is a work in progress, we are all slowly chipping away at the masterpiece that is our divine self awakened.
Laughing Mountain is a living thing in flux as it heals and breaks and mends itself all in the name of healing to help others heal too, it is the columniation of lifetimes of trauma experienced by humanity and their desperate dreams of freedom. Dreams of something better. Dreams of awakening. Laughing Mountain is the dream of the people, it is not Bryan or Terrah’s alone, we are simply here healing with it, and you.
We weren’t aware of the sentience and trauma of the land at first, only our own need for healing, and desire to help others heal in the ways we’d found healing, by creating a sacred space in nature for everyone to use.
As we began this dance of chaos with the land and all things residing in it and around it, we realized the land was as spiritually sick as we were. A microcosm of planet Earth, it has been raped, pillaged and neglected, it’s future never considered, it’s native stewards murdered, all in the name of greed.
After 2 years of profound breakthroughs, mind bending healing ceremonies, confusion, emotional melt downs, everything malfunctioning one after another and questioning our choice to be here, we couldn’t help but feel like we were being sabotaged by something…
We were. She was trying to get our attention, as were all of the negative energies trapped here.
Suddenly an epiphany struck us both, in the thick muck of a terrible physical and energetic rut, we knew we needed to heal the energy that had been left lingering here from all of the traumatic events that happened all around us for hundreds of years. Just like us, trauma was trapped inside her from other people, just like the ancestral trauma we all suffer from on planet Earth.
This is when we realized the land had called us here to help it, and in turn it would help us heal too….and it has.
We now know we are exactly where we are supposed to be.
When you come to this living mountain, speak kindly to her, she hears you, honor the Takilma ancestors who came before us, the plants and the trees the snakes and the bees, because we are all in this together. There is no you or me, there is only us and we. You and I are one being united in our desire for balance and peace on this planet, let’s walk together and support each other on this journey back into the welcoming arms of our own divinity.

We had such a fun stay in the wagon! It was a unique and memorable camping experience, and we really enjoyed being surrounded by the beautiful trees and peaceful setting. The wagon was such a fun place to stay, especially for a little outdoor adventure. We also really appreciated how clean and well-maintained the bathrooms were. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would definitely recommend this Hipcamp to others!

This was a cute little spot! We arrived after sunset just sleep on a roadtrip up to Washington, but this property looks beautiful to stay at if one were to spend more time here. It was convenient for us to sleep in overnight all we had to do was bring our own blankets. Danielle was kind and accommodating. Would stay here again if i’m ever in the area! Convenient access right off the highway as well.

2 nights at Azalea Grove Getaway
Coming down from portland this stay was worth the drive alone. We got a great deal at this beautiful cottage in the woods. Just close enough to other picturesque accomadatioms on the greater property to not worry about getting eaten by a bear, and just far enough to feel like we were in a private cottage in the woods.
We really loved the kitchen which had everything one may need in their home.

1 night at Rosehip Mountain
Our first time camping, and this made it a great choice. We’d hesitated to book camping trips before because of bathroom concerns, but here the restroom is just a short walk from the tent, which made it totally doable for two beginners.
We arrived late after stargazing at Crater Lake, a bit anxious about pulling in after dark. Caitlin had someone turn the string lights on for us beforehand, and coming up to the site lit up like that was magical. The canvas bell tent and the quiet mountain meadow surrounded by forest made it feel private and peaceful. As we drove out, we passed the neighborhood farm animals and garden, an unexpected bonus.
Rosehip Mountain is a great option if you want the beauty of camping without the steep learning curve, and Caitlin’s thoughtfulness made it feel really special. We recommend this place.

2 nights at Soda Spring
I spent a couple of nights in the small trailer. The larger bed was very comfortable, and the trailer had air conditioning (thank goodness, since it was in the upper 90s!) which Sarah thoughtfully turned on an hour or so before I got there. Sarah is a great host. About 20 minutes on backroads to OSF. Go check out the creek across the street, but keep an eye out for poison oak! There are several places where you can get into the water, which is delightful on a hot day. The rocks can be slippery so be careful.
Small downsides: the sink water is from the well and smells ... strong (but Sarah provides carafes of drinking water. Keep kitchen surfaces clean and don't leave any food out. The ants will come. I met three farm cats :) overall, a great little getaway!

Amazing property. Had a blast on the river and in the A-Frame. I definitely plan on going back. 10/10. A place to leave garbage and a few hooks inside the cabins would drive it to 11 or 12/10.

This was a wonderful little cabin! You can tell that it was built with care. The porch was lovely with some decorative lights and flowers placed on the outside table. The details made this place memorable. It has a little loft with a bed and a sofa bed downstairs for the kids. We were able to prepare some food in the little kitchen, since it had a toaster, microwave, and fridge. The property is beautiful and my kids loved running around. Kit was helpful, kind, and flexible with our arrival time. Highly recommend!

Weekend Trip to Lane Creek Reserve
Lara’s place was a delightful refuge after a day out and about. The covered tent was just like a hotel room inside. It was clean and cozy. Lara thought of every detail to make our stay comfortable. The bath facilities are clean and well maintained. They light up at night. There is a running sink, heat for cooking, pots and pans, and small fridge to use as well. My husband and I enjoyed the bustle of the farm animals and laying out at night on the hammock under beautiful trees. The location is perfect to enjoy all the area has to offer. We would stay here again.

Beautiful property! Stayed on a Wednesday- Sunday. Was not crowded at all. A few people came for the weekend, but not bad. Great commercial kitchen, nice to be able to use big fridge! Everyone was super nice on the property! I stayed in the trailer, nice to have electricity to charge phone. And closest to bathroom! I’m 5’3” and fit in it ok, but I don’t see how 2 people could sleep comfortably in it. The river was awesome!

We had my husband's 70th birthday celebration at Cedar Bloom! We spent five nights and our adult children and grandchildren loved it! We rented different structures and tent sites and we had a blast visiting each campsite, but our family's home base was the dome. We played in the river during the day, napped in the afternoons, went on bike rides, and walked the magic trails. We took turns cooking dinner for our group and the kitchen was spot on, it had everything we needed. We are big sauna enthusiasts, so we would hit the sauna in the evening, shower, and then all meet up in the tea house. Our entire family did not want to leave, Cedar Bloom has it all. Our family is in awe at how they’ve created such a beautiful tranquil sanctuary and we cannot wait to plan our next trip there!

After a long day on the road, this site felt like a stunning retreat up in nature for my family. The tent and surrounding area was so beautiful and thoughtfully put together. It was amazing to have a nice hot shower in nature right across the path. The bathroom was incredibly convenient and had the cutest decorations. The site is equipped with a BBQ, string lights, and a charging port in the tent. Christine and her cute dog Mia were so lovely and welcoming. Also, the sunset was truly magnificent.
