We are located in the heart of Antelope, a rural (near) Ghost town that is rich in history and culture. This particular property is currently being cleaned up and revitalized. We would like to open it up to dry camping only at this time as we are already seeing a huge influx of cyclists and motorcycles in the area and they have no place to camp. This is dry camping only until the facilities are improved. There is porta potty onsite next to the old Rajneesh bath house (Red and white building). We are located on 32 forested acres, 10 miles north of Prineville and 1 mile from the Ochoco National Forest entrance. We are a south facing hillside lot that looks south down a farmland valley towards Prineville. The Ochocos encompasses 850,000 acres (3,440 km2) of rimrock, canyons, geologic oddities, dense pine forests, and high desert terrain, as well as the headwaters of the North Fork Crooked River.
Our property has a 14 foot tall RV cover with picnic table and fire pit (when fires are allowed). The RV area has water and electrical hook up. An overlook area with amazing sunrise and sunset views is adjacent.
We cater to outdoor enthusiasts that are visiting for hiking, fishing, hunting, and other outdoor activities.
We have pet dogs, donkeys, goats and kitties so we ask that guests are pet free when they visit.

My family does still farm/ranch every day as did my family’s ancestors when they started our family ranch in 1882. My house sits at the very top of Cottonwood Canyon with a view of to see amazing sunrise’s and a view to see beautiful sunsets with Mount hood and Mount Adams for a backdrop.

Learn more about this land:Hey y'all! As much as we would love to share our space with everyone, we cannot accommodate tent camping since we don't offer an outhouse. While here you'll get to watch the sunset behind the Cascades and stargaze into the night, at our high desert sanctuary. We have 2.25 acres surrounded by sage and rabbitbrush, bunchgrass and juniper trees. My partner and I live on the property along with our 3 dogs, 11 chickens and bee hives. In addition, you will most likely witness cottontails, jackrabbit and deer, as well as many bird species. At night, you may be lucky enough to be serenaded by local coyotes. We are located atop a peninsula straddled by the Deschutes and Crooked river canyons, with access to golfing, hiking, biking, fishing, climbing and kayaking just minutes away! We are also a short 20 minute drive to Smith Rock , 35 minutes to Lake Billy Chinook, and 45 minutes from Bend or Sisters. There is a small trading post in the canyon with gas, limited groceries and made to order sandwiches. For dining, there is a local tap house with food trucks, and a restaurant and bar on the golf course. We offer water, electric and wifi. If a fire ban is not in effect, we have a fire pit for your use. Enjoy your morning coffee in the sunshine at our bistro table, listening to the birds chirp. Please respect our privacy and do not enter the fenced yard or paddock surrounding the barn unless given permission. We are happy to provide information and recommendations on the area, but if you would prefer zero contact we can accommodate that as well! When available, we can offer split firewood, beer and fresh eggs for sale! Also, our home is located next to one neighbor and 185 acres of rangeland, on a paved road. It can, at times feel totally alone, while other times, the local pickups and harley davidson's like to be heard. We appreciate where we live and want to share that with you!
