This property is owned by Carl and Lores Dauenhauer and was initially operated as a multi-functional farm raising a thousand acres in various crops. In the early 1980's Carl and his children began planting grapes on the property and now the vineyard is the predominate feature for the farm. Most of the vineyard production is sold to wineries located across the state, however the family does retain a small amount of grapes each year for their private wine label "Hauer of the Dauen". You are welcome to stop by the farm for wine tasting on Saturday and Sunday's 12:00-5:00pm. The park and campground area is a recent addition to the farm and had been a vision of Carl's for quite some time. Carl usually goes for a walk through the vineyard in the during sunrise and sunset, weather permitting, and he loves to share his life-story with any campers who want to chat.

Explore the property, take the kids for a swing under the big Coastal Redwood or play in the pasture with the Chickens and Turkey's with scratch grains available for the kids to feed the birds. In 2015 they produced our first lots of Pinor Noir and Sauvignon Blanc and have since expanded the wine selection to offer hand-crafted lots of Pinot Noir, Sauvignon Blanc, Gewurztraminer, Riesling, Dolcetto, Lagrein and more.These days, Chris manages the day to day operations of the farm and wine production while Beth manages the business.

There is plenty of room for private or group camping. Sites are secluded and firewood, ice and fresh eggs are for sale on site; shared portable toilets for camp guests and potable water is available at the homestead for filling your containers. The North Fork Nehalem river is home to some of the best salmon and steelhead fishing around. It is still a wild place and not uncommon to see deer, elk, beaver, bald eagles, coyotes and a very rare bear sighting. You will be a 20 minute drive away from the coast in Manzanita for beach beach combing, farmers market, unique shops, epic hikes and local cuisine. Just past Manzanita, another 10-20 mins further, are Cannon Beach and Seaside. Check-in is from 2-7pm. If you need accommodations outside of that time frame please give us at least 24 hour notice. Rsvp are subject to cancellation without 24 hour notice of late arrival. We are happy to offer suggestions or answer any questions you have about your stay, just ask!
