Enjoy nature's embrace with a walk-in camp site or car camp site. Special rates offered for booking all, multiple sites or multiple stays. Gather around our central communal "campfire" area, adorned with rustic log benches. Cook on the swing out grill over a complementary wood fire when allowed. As summer matures, and burn bans no doubt crop up, we provide a propane campfire ring which you may cook on as needed, until it is no longer allowed. This can occur quickly, so we request that mid-June through the first rains, please bring your own approved liquid fuel stove for use in the gravel area on fold out tables. Message before booking to confirm any campfire details or requests. I'm always happy to answer any questions. I live on site but generally the Outdoor Stay Area is self-serve unless I have a special request to cater. Tent sites are covered with wood chips for a comfortable night's rest. Hose water is readily available for your convenience, and we provide a porta-potty as well. Tom's Rest Canyon Retreat Center

TOM'S REST was created by Tom's wife Cheryl in an effort to carry out their plans to provide respite for those in need. Tom Edwards worked tirelessly for years to clear this wild recreation space where he planned to live while helping others. Tom suddenly and unexpectedly passed February 2, 2015 while in the process of making his move to Sisters with his High School sweetheart of 45 years. Cheryl continued his passion and their dream to make this a place for those in need as a way to honor the most giving man she ever knew. This process, while overwhelming, has brought some healing and it is our hope to continue that healing for others in need from life's many trials. We continue to use our funds to promote healing in grief and other trials of life. We would appreciate hearing from those that have anything to contribute in way of maintenance and housekeeping, services to provide those in need such as massage or counseling, or any other contributions you are led to give. We are developing a list of volunteers to be called upon when someone in need is referred to us and will keep you informed as things develop. Anyone having a grief, widows/widowers, caregiver, cancer, hospice or other group that would like to have their group listed should message us as well. These respite visits are short getaways to refuel and support individuals during tough times. Those that come to enjoy Tom's Rest will be ministering to those in need through your paid visits here and hopefully, gain some needed respite of your own. We have taken every precaution for distancing and cleanliness with the ever changing Covid policies for your safety and concerns. Most feel they are pretty much 'on their own' in this retreat area with the option for seclusion OR mingling if so desired. My deepest thanks to all who have stood alongside through this journey and continue to do so. Castle Rock Farm was established as a homestead 1893, and sits at the base of Castle Rock. Quite, not on the highway. Stay on grassy pasture nestled in-between the edge of old growth forest under a magnificent big Maple Tree, nearby a small babbling brook passes by accompanied by the chorus of songbirds. You might catch a glimpse of the Great Gray owls. A birder's paradise, over 150 nesting boxes on the property. During your stay enjoy the wind whispering through the trees, birds singing, owls hooting and abundant wildlife. There are Great Gray owls, Pileated woodpeckers, and many various bird species and wildlife that pass by. You will not be camping or glamping next to someone's house in their yard, gravel parking lot, by a busy road, a pile of gravel or wood chips mislead by false pictures. Shelter at Castle Rock farm is extremely private, inclusive, perfect for relaxing and to decompress. A short stroll away you can feed the native wild cutthroat trout in the fish pond. On the way feel free to sample some of the wild native strawberries growing in the natural pasture. There are two extremely friendly yellow labs on the property, one very old, one young, they do go on walks with me past the Big Maple site on the trail in the morning and the evening. King Castle Trailhead is 4 minutes down the road from entrance to Shelter at Castle Rock. Upon request , Big Maple site can accommodate extra tents, group site, from 0 to 20 tents, for special events, birding groups, weddings, biking groups, runners, ect. Also we have contacts from other lodging facilities in the area that provide rafting trips, bike and mountain bike shuttles, bike rentals, hiking shuttles to pick you up and return. Castle Rock Farm was established as a homestead 1893, and sits at the base of Castle Rock. For the last 37 years it has been maintained as private wildlife and birding preserve. The original fruit orchards are over a 125 years old. No herbicides or pesticides of any kind are used. Only private led tours by birding experts and wildlife viewing has been allowed. Castle Rock farm is known throughout the Mckenzie community as the one of the most spectacular one of a kind properties in Mckenzie Bridge. All wood used in construction and furniture was milled at Castle Rock Farm with a vintage Heritage Cut pattern circle sawmill from sustainably sourced fire killed trees and windblown downed trees. All campfire wood is sustainably sourced also. Site was built by our family of Journeymen Craftsmen that build Custom Homes in the area, so everything is professionally built with attention to detail, not a DIY campsite. Deschutes Riverfront Retreat

Learn more about this land: Bring your self-contained trailer or motorhome with toilet to this beautiful treed lot on the banks of the Deschutes River in Oregon Water Wonderland just south of Sunriver. Sit on the deck overlooking the river, or bring your own hammock and relax amongst the trees! Catch a glimpse of Mt. Bachelor across the river and through the trees! Check-in on arrival day is 2:30pm; Check-out on departure day is 12pm. No fires or dumping/burying waste of any kind allowed. Leave no trace - pack everything out with you. Two nearby disposal options include: LaPine Transfer Station, 541-408-7589 (Closer, 54580 US-97, La Pine, OR 97739), and Knott Landfill (Bend), 541-317-3163 (61050 SE 27th St, Bend, OR 97702). Pets are allowed, but must be kept on a leash or confined in a pen. The neighbors at the adjacent fenced property to the east have a couple of very friendly but curious dogs that like to be introduced to any newly arriving animals! When you request a reservation, please tell me what kind of RV you'll be bringing, and confirm whether it is fully self-contained (with toilet and holding tanks). Summers and holiday weekends require a 4-night minimum stay. All other times require a 3-night minimum stay. PLEASE NOTE: Use the property's elevated deck (maximum weight capacity: 350 lbs.) and gravel path to the river's edge at your own risk and with the utmost caution! Owner accepts no responsibility for injuries sustained on the property. Area attractions include the Deschutes River, Mt. Bachelor, Paulina Plunge, Benham Falls, Fall River Trail, Lava Butte, Sunriver Nature Center and Observatory, Spring River, Sparks Lake, Elk Lake, Smith Rock, and the Sisters Rodeo, to name a few. There is a boat launch about 1/4 mile away on Snow Goose Drive, and scenic bike trails in Caldera Springs (about 3.5 miles away), as well as in Sunriver (about 5 miles away). The Upriver Paradise site is a private, gated RV campground for you and your guests to enjoy. It is an approximately 1/2 acre site that is gated for privacy and security. Included are two RV sites with 50, 30, and 20-amp outlets, water and WIFI. No Septic on site but there is a dump station less than a mile away. There is also a portable toilet on site for your use during your stay. Upon request, we can accommodate additional RV sites if needed, with the same amenities as above, for an additional fee. Located just on the edge of McKenzie Bridge, Oregon. The site is on the McKenzie River with 150 ft. of riverbank to enjoy and explore. It is forested and beautiful with many spectacular views with seating available to relax and enjoy the wildlife, sights and sounds. This space has everything you need to relax and unwind in the privacy of the woods while also being centrally located to explore and experience the beautiful McKenzie Valley with all it has to offer. The site is at the end a loop which has two Airbnb rentals and one other small house, but the spot is separate and private.

Campsite is on a second driveway to the front of the house on a wooded, half-acre lot in a quiet neighborhood in Southwest Bend. House lots are big and the area provides nice cool morning walks. There is a curb at the start of the driveway but aids will be provided if necessary. Electrical, water, and sewer hookups are available! There is a fenced in yard that may be used if your dog(s) get along with mine and you help with poop patrol. You will need to check the fence line to confirm that your dogs cannot get out, as I am not responsible if they escape. A large part of my yard is rewilding, so you will see tall grasses and increasing varieties of flowers over the years. A hot tub may be available by appointment. House is enhanced by the use of focused life force energy (FLFE.net), so enjoy relaxing in the higher vibes. There is one cat to rule us all and she may grace you with her presence if you welcome her. Site is located an easily walkable ½ mile from a shopping center with grocery, vet, Mexican and Asian-fusion restaurants, and a wine bar with occasional entertainment. Beyond that, is a park with a climb to a tall hill with a lovely 360 overlook view of the surrounding mountains. There is access to the river and river trail about ¾ mile walk away - this trail can take you all the way to Farewell Park and the Old Mill shopping area. And a bus stop is around the corner, just about a house length away. This is a great base location for all your adventures in Bend and surrounding areas, and a quiet place in which to relax afterwards. I enjoy hosting and always welcome any guidance, suggestions, and creative ideas. The RV area is currently in the middle of being cleared and cleaned up after a home remodel. Will be making the driveway a bit wider and easier in which to back a larger vehicle.

Our house is located in Wood River Village. It is the beginning of where the Deschutes River bends as it comes into the town of Bend. One can quickly and easily walk to the river trail from our house. By going up river, one gets the sense of being remote and in the forest along a well maintained trail that makes a 3 miles loop with many rapids visible from the trail. By walking down river, one can quickly access Hayden Homes Amphitheater, Old Mill shopping and Downtown on a paved walking path. We have a private single site located on the banks of the McKenzie River in Rainbow, Oregon. The access road and site size make it best for camper vans and smaller RV’s. Trailers, large RV’s and tent camping are not permitted at this time. The site has 50/30 amp and 120 volt outlets, as well as water and Wi-Fi. The property has many areas to set your camp chair or hang your hammock, and lots of short paths to explore. Recreation opportunities abound around here: hiking, biking, fishing, hot springs, cold springs, waterfalls, lava beds, whitewater boating on the river, and flat water paddling on the reservoirs. On the way feel free to sample some of the wild native strawberries growing in the natural pasture. There are two extremely friendly yellow labs on the property, one very old, one young, they do go on walks with me past the Big Maple site on the trail in the morning and the evening. King Castle Trailhead is 4 minutes down the road from entrance to Shelter at Castle Rock. Upon request , Big Maple site can accommodate extra tents, group site, from 0 to 20 tents, for special events, birding groups, weddings, biking groups, runners, ect. Also we have contacts from other lodging facilities in the area that provide rafting trips, bike and mountain bike shuttles, bike rentals, hiking shuttles to pick you up and return. Castle Rock Farm was established as a homestead 1893, and sits at the base of Castle Rock. For the last 37 years it has been maintained as private wildlife and birding preserve. The original fruit orchards are over a 125 years old. No herbicides or pesticides of any kind are used. Only private led tours by birding experts and wildlife viewing has been allowed. Castle Rock farm is known throughout the Mckenzie community as the one of the most spectacular one of a kind properties in Mckenzie Bridge. All wood used in construction and furniture was milled at Castle Rock Farm with a vintage Heritage Cut pattern circle sawmill from sustainably sourced fire killed trees and windblown downed trees. All campfire wood is sustainably sourced also. Site was built by our family of Journeymen Craftsmen that build Custom Homes in the area, so everything is professionally built with attention to detail, not a DIY campsite. Camping/glamping site is outfitted with a large 10' by 14' heavy deluxe canvas tent, upgraded with extra windows, sewn in heavy vinyl floor, No-See-Um netting, on a wood platform. Tent area is covered so foul weather will not spoil your camping adventure. Custom built with our Heritage cut lumber , one large Porta Potty with premium biodegradable tank treatment. Two nearby disposal options include: LaPine Transfer Station, 541-408-7589 (Closer, 54580 US-97, La Pine, OR 97739), and Knott Landfill (Bend), 541-317-3163 (61050 SE 27th St, Bend, OR 97702). Pets are allowed, but must be kept on a leash or confined in a pen. The neighbors at the adjacent fenced property to the east have a couple of very friendly but curious dogs that like to be introduced to any newly arriving animals! When you request a reservation, please tell me what kind of RV you'll be bringing, and confirm whether it is fully self-contained (with toilet and holding tanks). Summers and holiday weekends require a 4-night minimum stay. All other times require a 3-night minimum stay. PLEASE NOTE: Use the property's elevated deck (maximum weight capacity: 350 lbs.) and gravel path to the river's edge at your own risk and with the utmost caution! Owner accepts no responsibility for injuries sustained on the property. Area attractions include the Deschutes River, Mt. Bachelor, Paulina Plunge, Benham Falls, Fall River Trail, Lava Butte, Sunriver Nature Center and Observatory, Spring River, Sparks Lake, Elk Lake, Smith Rock, and the Sisters Rodeo, to name a few. There is a boat launch about 1/4 mile away on Snow Goose Drive, and scenic bike trails in Caldera Springs (about 3.5 miles away), as well as in Sunriver (about 5 miles away). TOM'S REST was created by Tom's wife Cheryl in an effort to carry out their plans to provide respite for those in need. Tom Edwards worked tirelessly for years to clear this wild recreation space where he planned to live while helping others. Tom suddenly and unexpectedly passed February 2, 2015 while in the process of making his move to Sisters with his High School sweetheart of 45 years. Cheryl continued his passion and their dream to make this a place for those in need as a way to honor the most giving man she ever knew. This process, while overwhelming, has brought some healing and it is our hope to continue that healing for others in need from life's many trials. We continue to use our funds to promote healing in grief and other trials of life. We would appreciate hearing from those that have anything to contribute in way of maintenance and housekeeping, services to provide those in need such as massage or counseling, or any other contributions you are led to give. We are developing a list of volunteers to be called upon when someone in need is referred to us and will keep you informed as things develop. Anyone having a grief, widows/widowers, caregiver, cancer, hospice or other group that would like to have their group listed should message us as well. These respite visits are short getaways to refuel and support individuals during tough times. Those that come to enjoy Tom's Rest will be ministering to those in need through your paid visits here and hopefully, gain some needed respite of your own. We have taken every precaution for distancing and cleanliness with the ever changing Covid policies for your safety and concerns. Most feel they are pretty much 'on their own' in this retreat area with the option for seclusion OR mingling if so desired. My deepest thanks to all who have stood alongside through this journey and continue to do so. May we collectively create TOM'S REST with Tom's intention and the passion he infused in us to carry it through to fulfillment.
