Pack your essentials and escape to the Little Miami River Valley's best kept secret. Our off-grid cabin and tent campsite is situated on 14 acres along the National and Scenic Little Miami River. The cabin is included in the site rental, offering the flexibility to bring your own mattress/bedding or have it provided as an add-on.
Once here, you'll park near the farmhouse and take a 4 minute hike over the creek, through the meadow, and into the woods. *Driving to the site is an option if you have 4WD and the ground is not too wet. Exceptions for 2WD can be made if the weather forecast and ground conditions permit.
As you approach the cabin and campsite, the trail opens up to an acre of green space shaded by large Sycamore, Walnut, and other native trees. Take a dip in the river, enjoy people watching as canoeist pass, or take part with a canoe or kayak rental from a nearby business (within 3 miles). The Little Miami Trail is also less than a mile down the road so bring your bike! The composting outhouse is serviced between each stay, meaning it's emptied, sanitized, and like new for each new guest. *Depending on your group size, the host may need to service/empty the outhouse once daily. There are two established campfire locations and a picnic table is provided.
*This is a family residence. The hosts live onsite and although you will not see them from your site, you will likely hear kids/adults playing outside and possibly weekend tasks such as mowing/weed eating/etc. Other "noise pollution" may come from canoeists passing by or the gun/ATV riding club which is a 1/4 mile down the river. That said, overall it remains rather quiet and you should find your stay peaceful : )

I have a few sites available, or set up where you want. A large fire ring area is available. You can fish, you can eat your catch or keep a few. If chicken eggs are available I will make them available to campers. You can visit the chickens and feed the catfish.
These are tent sites and you may have to park your vehicle and walk to set up.
Firewood is available for use at the site.
We are close to several kayaking rental places along the Little Miami River, Morrow and Morgan's are close by.
This would be a good spot to tent camp during the famous Todd's Fork Revival Festival in July as we are just 5 minutes from the site. I will probably be going!
Mostly surrounded by a horse farm, so you may have an opportunity to see some horses out in the fields next door.
Food, gas, etc. is available within 5 mins into town.
Peaceful and one great place to see the stars.

Hunter's property is fantastic. It's private, it's along the Little Miami River, and it has tree coverage if camping during the summer. Hunter also took great care of us while we were staying for an extended weekend. 5 stars from our entire group. We will be back!

Fantastic location right on the river. Lots of privacy with no contact with others besides the host. The property is wooded with a hill behind you, and heavy forest left and right. The little Miami river is the other border. Plenty of space to park a couple vehicles, although you will want some room to turn around to get out.
We setup a large 6-person tent near the river's edge. Two picnic tables are setup nearby, with a metal fire pit. The host has a huge pile of chopped wood for sale if you need more on demand. There is a very basic cabin also in the camping area that gives a bit of shelter if you want to camp but also have a normal bed, or camp with a backup plan if it starts raining.
The outhouse was a really nice touch. Many camping locations needing a #2 option can get tricky, this handles all the stuff right there. Overall really happy how it all turned out. Fantastic spot that we will return to again.

The owner gave us very specific instructions to get to the site and even called to make sure I found it okay! The site was great for families with lots to explore! My fiancé and I wanted to get out of the city for a relaxing camping trip, and this spot was perfect. This was my second visit, and once again, it didn’t disappoint. The site is nicely secluded — we had plenty of space and privacy, well away from the owner’s area — and it’s spacious enough to host a group. It’s also pet-friendly, which was great for our puppy.
The outhouse and cabin are exceptionally clean and well-maintained, which really adds to the experience. There’s convenient water access throughout the site, several fire pits, and multiple picnic tables. Firewood was available on a burn-as-you-buy basis, easily payable through Venmo, which was super convenient.
The host was quick to respond when a kitten wandered into our campsite late at night — turns out it was their new camp cat! During the night, we could hear what sounded like coyotes or farm dogs across the water, but we still felt completely safe.
Because of the great water access, some areas can get a bit muddy, but that’s to be expected with such a natural setting. Overall, we loved our stay and plan to return many more times.

Beautiful property. Stayed for 3 nights. Few minor hiccups prior to the stay, but the host was quick to communicate with us. Site is tucked back in a corner of the property and right beside a pond. Would definitely stay here again!
Pros: Beautiful outdoor area with lots of space and trees for shade, large fire pit, ducks, horses, turkey, pond, large creek with vast amount of fish, private, Bears Mill Run historic site within walking distance, access to water and 110 electric, off leash pet friendly (just make sure your animal likes ducks!), host close by for any needs that arise.
Cons: Little difficult to get back to the site I have a 26ft pull behind so I could see it being more difficult for larger rigs and its a sharp turn to go from the driveway though the fenced pasture, low tree branches on the area you drive through to get back to the site taller rigs would definitely have issues, access to water was turned off the first night then unhooked the following day to water plants and trees and never hooked back up, multiple dogs barking very close by during the day.

Water, TONS of camp space, cabin and excellent hosts! Hunter went above and beyond & we almost felt like we were glamping ;) The outhouse is nicer than many of the public restrooms I've used!

Awesome site to camp and enjoy the river. The host went above and beyond by including extra supplies including a powerbank, fan, and board games. The cabin and outhouse were very clean and comfortable. The shade in the area helped keep it comfortable in the hot temps and kept the cabin cool for sleeping. I definitely recommend staying here

I’m hesitant to give a raving review only because I’d love to keep this gem a secret. But it is perfect! Our 4 kids (ages 5-13) had a blast tubing through the small rapids a little down river from our spot. The campsite, outhouse and cabin were clean and lacked nothing we needed. We loved the shade and the view of the river. Will be back! And with friends!

Great campsite just outside of downtown Yellow Springs. Joshua is so accommodating! We were so grateful for the cabin as it rained a lot during our stay and we were so happy to not be in a tent during the storms. We would definitely go back to Camp Yellow Springs!

This was our first time using Hipcamp and we feel so lucky to find Hunter’s campsite/cabin. Hunter was very helpful, welcoming and hospitable. The property is a dream right on the river, very private and secluded. Our dogs had the best weekend of their lives, the river was swimable and great to cool off in, everything was extremely clean and just as described on the Hipcamp listing. There were butterflies all over - we saw deer and a snake, it was very natural and a true escape from regular life. We will absolutely be back! Thank you Hunter!!
