Croaky Oak Clearing of Good Knights Reserve is located in Ohio and a 25-30 minute drive to Dublin. You'll have nothing but peace and privacy on the back 15 acres of the property. A 1/2 mile drivable path will take you to the one site offered. Here you can pitch your tent, build a campfire, catch and release a few fish from the pond, or choose to sit on the floating dock with your feet in the water. There are also a few short trails to meander through. Madden Farm has been in the Madden family and its descendants for seven generations. The original farmhouse on Madden Farm dates back to the 1860s. In 1980, a second dwelling was added to the property when a cabin on a nearby farm was moved across the fields and placed near Madden Pond. In recent years, the family has endeavored to be good stewards of the land by planting trees, growing fruits and vegetables while incorporating sustainable practices. Also of interest, since 2014, family members from Madden Farm have hosted the Madden Road Music Fest, a one-day music festival held annually on the second Saturday in August.
Our camping sites are secluded, offering a variety of shade and sunshine. Each site has a picnic table and fire pit. Overgrown and neglected, we have worked hard to make it a nice place for hiking, kayaking, fishing or any number of other activities. Peaceful and remote, the property has a beautiful brook that leads you to the South branch of the Portage river. The site was very peaceful, and hearing the horses while enjoying the fire was nice! The firewood bundles are generous and there's plenty of stores nearby if you happen to forget something while packing, or accidentally ruin a camp meal 🤣 I would definitely recommend this site for a relaxing getaway!

We loved this space! There was so much to do, the bathroom was great, and we loved the little shop there too its snacks and last minute essentials. It’s also a 10min drive from a Walmart if you need anything else.
Having Steve help haul our stuff to the campsite in the golf cart was a massive plus.

Cool place! I enjoyed the animals and farm nearby but the bottomland woods is even better. There is a stream that passes by the campsite and a small river farther back. A lot of birds and small mammals. Ideal for camper-van or truck.

Cozy & eclectic space. The Lyra hoop is super fun…wished we didn’t need to hit the road as I would have played on it for longer 😊 We loved the decor & peaceful surroundings outside. Very nice host. She hosts workshops & sells handmade items— again, with more time I would certainly partake. Breakfast was appreciated & was one less thing to worry about for us before continuing on our drive!

Excellent hosts, great place to be, little noise, hosts were very friendly, I had mistakenly forgot a bottle of water and inquired about it so I didn't have to drive to town, they were kind enough to provide. Sites looked good, property overall was clean, I stayed on gravel due to the weather conditions. I enjoyed listenin to the chickens!!

Owners were great- he met us with his golf cart and made setting up our camp site super easy. The site itself was secluded and primative- exactly what we were looking for. Shower/bathroom was clean and very handy. Also, this site is close to the lake which was ideal for fishing. The pond on-site was also great to fish in. Had more success there than at the lake! Would recommend! Only thing to note- we brought our hammock and at this particular site we had to set it up on the entrance path as there wasn't a ton of great trees to use at this particular campsite at Fairhaven.
