Learn more about this land: I'm an artist and my husband and I have a small homestead with chickens and sometimes sheep/goats. Look out for electric netting to keep our herd/flock protected. The lighting over our back field is divine in the late afternoon, or if you prefer a wooded setting, we have a small wooded area across the street from our house. The area is hilly and rather private-- only one neighbor is visible when the trees are leafed out. Electric is accessible from an outlet at the backyard fence or in the barn. We often have fresh veggies and fruit in the garden in the summer, and sometimes extra farm fresh eggs. Nearby (10 minute drive) is Hargus lake, with boat rental and fishing. Also nearby is the Slate Run Historical Farm, (15 minute drive) which is a farm that is fully functioning as a farm from the 1880's with sheep, draft horses, hogs, and poultry at Slate Run Metro park, which has many woodland and wetland trails, as well as a covered bridge and several playgrounds. We are about 35 minutes from the Hocking Hills area, which is one of the most beautiful and unique areas in Ohio.

Our long weekend at GloryField Hospitality Farm in South Charleston, Ohio was nothing short of magical. From the moment we pulled into the spacious RV pad with our 40-ft Class A, we knew we had found a hidden gem—so much better than the crowded state parks. The level, gravel site overlooks the wetland pond and is well maintained, featuring full hookups (electric, water, and sewer), a picnic table, and a fire ring with convenient access to firewood. The site has good water pressure and well positioned connections relative to the pad. WiFi is available, but plan on using cellular or satellite if you need faster speeds for streaming or VPN. The catch-and-release pond located in a secluded corner of the property was a highlight of the trip. We caught several largemouth bass and crappie. We spent time just relaxing in the benches, listening to the birds chirping and the wind blowing through the fall corn. Kimberly, the host and owner of GloryField, was warm, welcoming, and full of local knowledge, she made us feel right at home—even inviting the family to experience a unique farm experience. Weekend Trip to Tucked Away Tenting

The property was nicely cared for and private. The host was friendly and greeted us on arrival, showed us around the site, and made sure we had everything we needed. The "bathroom" is a Home Depot bucket with a toilet lid, which was a new experience for us. However, it was cleaner and just as nice (if not nicer) than most porta pottys. Just bring a umbrella if it rains :) There is a bit of traffic noise off in the distance, but this didn't bother us.

We’ve been staying at Christy’s farm for years. It’s amazing. I have a 10 and 7 year old, and it’s been really fun watching their interests in the farm evolve over the years. We started camping here when they were 18 months and 4.5 years old. There’s never a dull moment from the fishing pond to the frog pond to the pollinator maze to the creek. The scenery is beautiful. Christy is a wonderful host—present and available whenever you need.

First place I stayed at using the Hipcamp app and was not disappointed. The grounds were very well maintained and clean. The lakes were beautiful. It was very quiet and could barely hear any road traffic. I would definitely return

2 nights at The McIntosh Pines

This site was just what we were looking for! We stayed in a rooftop tent on our truck and were able to drive right to the site and found a great level spot to park. Our dog was happy to be able to run around. The campsite was clean and firewood was there waiting for us. Our hosts were responsive when we had questions. We would definitely come back if we’re in the area again.

I took my 6 yr old grandson camping for the first time, he loved it! The property is beautiful. We went on a hike with our 4 dogs, who also had a blast running free. Very private and wooded. A great experience

My nephew had an awesome time. Anyone can go here but kids love it!!! There is a labyrinth, scavenger hunt, hiking trails, fish pond and frog pool. The sites are well-groomed grass squares separated by vegetation with a picnic table (most sites), fire ring, and a clean port-a-potty. Christie is a gracious host. She served up hot cooked mushrooms. Just text her on the app and she’ll be out right away with your fire wood. The wood was super-high quality. I hope we can return before the temps drop.
