Please note: We're located on a section of the Ohio-Erie Canal Scenic Byway, the Wheeling and Lake Erie Railroad, and at a 90-degree corner with a slight slope that causes trucks to downshift and brake. If you're a light sleeper, we recommend bringing earplugs! We now offer disposable, individually packaged earplugs in our Porta-Jon.

This small farm is 7 acres of the original 25 my great grandmother purchased for her family in 1934. Guests can enjoy the cabin as well as the barn and surrounding property with animals and greenspace.
The Camp Cabin:
Camp in comfort in our "little cabin in the woods." Accommodates up to 6 guests, with a queen-sized bed, a futon and two low single beds in the loft, accessible only by ladder. Kids 6 and older may sleep in the loft-- just like Laura and Mary-- and they can read a chapter of one of Laura Ingalls' "Little House" books before bed!
The cabin contains a small refrigerator, microwave and gas fireplace (no, the pioneers didn’t have that!). Fresh eggs and other snacks are provided for breakfast. The restroom and shower are located in the walkout basement of the farmhouse, a 40 yard walk from the Cabin. The restroom has a private entrance and is used only by guests during their stay.
The Farm Property:
Pet and interact with goats and other farm animals. The goats and chickens love it when guests bring them tortilla chips, crackers or vegetable scraps. Enjoy fun activities on the farm and around the property.
Guests are welcome to use any of the common areas for fires or grilling. Quiet hours are from 9 p.m. to 8 a.m.
The Barn:
The barn has a recreation area with basketball, foosball, air hockey, ping pong and swings. The climbing wall is off limits to guests. This facility is open May through October.
The barn is available for parties for an additional fee, depending on the size of the group. We have seating for up to 60 guests. Please note that the barn is not climate controlled (no air conditioning in summer, but the doors open and we have fans). The barn is closed November through April.

Accommodations include a small one-room cabin nestled on a little pond a stone's throw from the main house and veteran program area. The cabin has electricity, a microwave, small refrigerator, tv, futon, heating and cooling; however, it does not have plumbing. Nearby is an outhouse with electricity and a water pump fed from well water. There is a firepit for cooking and picnic tables available. There is also a flat space for tent camping right beside the cabin area. The outhouse and firepit are shared between the cabin and tent campers. If you prefer a more secluded experience, please book both sites. There is space for an RV in the driveway next to the woods with electric hookup and access to the outhouse, water pump, and firepit.
While this is a working ranch with farm animals, our aim is to create a peaceful relaxing environment in order to unwind and enjoy the creation around us. Going in the pastures with horses while unaccompanied by the owners is prohibited; however, it can be arranged for you to meet and interact with the mustangs if interested. There are other farm animals including a sheep, a goat, pigs, donkeys, peacocks, turkeys, chickens, ducks and barn cats on the premises. If you want a quaint country escape complete with farm sounds, this is the spot for you!

I started this 2 acre homestead! It is home to myself, my four dogs, turkeys, and some chickens. I’m very close to all the creature comforts like Walmart and Target, but the property is wooded on three sides so you feel like you’ve gotten away from the city. There is a small creek my dogs love to play in and a large field for frisbee and star gazing. There are hikes close by at Little Turtle Pond and many restaurants within 10 minutes like Woodys for breakfast and dinner at NauitiVine. The primitive campground is in the corner of a small 40 acre farm owned by Matt Polcyn. He started the campground 13 years ago because of his love for nature and real camping. He enjoys traveling in many places in the States and the Caribbean islands and loves finding places off of the beaten path and not commercialized. We loved camping here! The camping spot was so nice with the wooden base for our tent and the picnic table. They put flowers on the picnic table which was very cute. Also everything you need for a fire and cooking over the fire. The outhouse was the best outhouse we’ve seen hipcamping. It was so clean and had extra supplies. The land is also beautiful for walking and hiking. The hike was hard but worth it through the forest. It was all maintained very well. We saw the horses when it started to get dark and they did come to our campsite while we were sleeping which was very cool. They are a very sweet couple who made sure you have everything you could need during your stay and we will definitely be coming back! We had a great time here.

The camping sites was beautiful and peaceful with a great location right by the river and easy access which was a huge plus. The host was very friendly, informative and helpful through out our stay. If you enjoy fishing, definitely bring your fishing rod and don’t forget your water or riding equipment. You’re next to the flowing river, you’ll regret not taking advantage of it. We had a wonderful experience and would defiantly recommend this campsite!

I love solo camping/traveling with my dogs whenever I can. I have a high pressure job and am always looking for peace whenever I can get away. That is exactly what I found at this beautiful property. You feel like you are in your own little nature preserve away from all the stress of the normal day to day.
It was the perfect escape.
Jim and Tracy are very respectful of your privacy and also so friendly and so helpful with everything.

My son and I bicycled the OTET and stayed at Turkey Hollow Campground on Day 4 of our ride. We came off trail onto Routes 92 to 83 to 102 (which is a gravel road). Route 102 from this direction is kind of tough, but shorter, steeper, and more direct to the campground. There is also a switchback going to the campground once you leave 102. We met our friendly host, Matt, upon arrival. Once you are there, the tent camping area is fabulous! Spacious flat area, soft green grass, tall trees provide shade, picnic tables, fire pits, port-a-potty near the barn, and barn kittens to play with! The water was good, with no sulfur smell we had encountered at other campsites (we are used to municipal water). The showers are quite interesting and definitely make for funny memories of staying here - in a good way - you just have to have a sense of humor. He also has two nice cabins with woodstoves, if tent camping is not your thing. Leaving the next morning, we followed Matt’s directions of turning right out of his driveway and followed Route 102 to 58 – all paved and down hill – to the traffic light across from Walmart. We cut through the parking lot and used the Amish Access Road back to the trail. We made a quick stop at Jitters Coffee House before crossing at the traffic light – great muffins and coffee! Happy and safe pedaling!!

We loved getting to experience a mixture of rustic and glamp-ing at The Camp Cabin!
It was perfect to have an actual roof while it stormed during our stay—my husband’s favorite part was hearing the rain hit the tin roof. There was plenty to entertain our busy busy 6yo. We would definitely recommend!

We stayed in one of their A-frames (#1) on a roadtrip from Maine, Canada, then back home to the midwest. Was a beautiful site and very special location! Amazingly close to Cuyahoga NP! Carol and George are expert level hosts!

Andy does a great job maintaining the campsites. It’s a short 10 minute drive to the site from the highway, and there is no traffic noise. Firewood on site is a huge plus. Bring your kayak or canoe!

We absolutely loved this place! It was beautiful, peaceful, and truly felt like a real experience in nature. We especially loved that it wasn’t the typical campground packed with RVs. We really felt connected to nature and enjoyed every part of our stay.
If you’re someone who truly enjoys being outdoors and having an authentic nature experience, this is the perfect place. Please keep it just the way it is—no RVs! We will definitely be coming back. It was also very easy to find.
