This place is one of a kind. The cabin is super cozy while simultaneously feeling connected to nature with a ton of big windows that really bring in the outdoors. The amenities and little touches are first rate including a complete mini cook's kitchen, awesome lighting to fit any mood, a ton of games, great reading material, and stacked firewood for the charming indoor wood burner. The cabin is very charming and a great jumping off point for Eastern Ohio adventures! PS - Super clean and the hosts were very friendly.

We had a great time at Shady Maple cabin! It was a beautiful place to unwind, de-stress, and be in an amazing setting! The cabin had everything you would need for a relaxing time. We love a good log cabin and this did not disappoint! It was clean, had snacks, jacuzzi tub inside, a hot tub outside, board games, was private enough and everything worked as it should. Shout out to the hosts for sharing this beautiful property with us! Will definitely go back!

Great location… very clean… remote enough to be disconnected, but close enough to a gas station/convenient store/highway in case you need anything. Has everything you need. Above all are the owners Tom and Melissa. We originally booked to stay a few months ago, we showed up on the first day, but had to leave within an hour of arriving due to an accident my son had at home. We left immediately and left all of our luggage, coolers, clothes, etc. Not only did they refund our money, but Tom also loaded up all of our stuff and found a way to meet my dad a few days later to give him our things which was a huge help given the situation we were in at the time. It was a 3 hour drive for us and they split the drive with my dad to help. We appreciate them more than they will ever know for helping us during the worst time of our lives.

This was our first stay at WALKAbOUT Creek and it was a great experience. Eagle Cabin is new and we were so impressed. Plenty of room for my husband and myself, with a loft available for two more. The layout and decor are well thought out and the cabin is very clean. Having a full bathroom is a definite plus. The host, Carl, is friendly and approachable. He led us right to our site, explained the layout of the campground and also offered information on the local area. The campground itself is very quiet and out of the way. It is the perfect place for a getaway.

We have been taking my nieces and nephew camping here for years. It’s quiet and secluded, and the grounds are well kept. The owner, Carl, is always friendly and helpful, and we’ve enjoyed seeing how he’s invested in amenities and grown his business over the years. We typically stay in Wolf Cabin but have stayed in Bear as well. Both are very nice and clean. This year my parents came along and stayed in the new Eagle Cabin. It’s very beautiful, and they really enjoyed it. See you next year, Carl!

Pine Cove is truly the most private and peaceful spot you could hope for. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that Tom & Melissa have put so much thought, care, and attention into every detail of the property. Their directions were spot-on, making it easy to find, and the whole place feels beautifully planned out and well cared for. The setting is serene, with nature all around, and it’s only a short drive to Blue Rock State Park if you’re in the mood for a refreshing dip in the lake. The experience was incredibly calming from start to finish — the perfect escape to recharge and unwind.

A great little cabin to celebrate our wedding anniversary. It’s very remote and secluded but is accessible by a gravel road. I think we counted 3 trucks and 2 side by sides as traffic for the entire weekend!
The cabin was neat as a button and every question a guest could ever ask was already addressed either in their cabin manual or little notes adjacent to the items. It is SOOOO quiet! What a great place to relax and unwind. Many trails criss-cross the property so bring comfortable shoes. Thanks for the opportunity to share your little slice of heaven!

1 night at The Wild Pines Of Ohio
This was a very private, but comfortable spot. It was a unique experience that allowed us to "camp" without lugging everything in- and get a good nights sleep. We had everything we needed. We walked the property, in the woods, and even the road- we were totally alone. This is placed on top of a ridgeline, and when on the road, the views are unbelievable. We really enjoyed our stay.

What a perfect way to spend the weekend. Lisa put a lot of thought into preparing the camper. It was decorated nicely and was supplied with all the necessary items to make a weekend away complete. The scenery was peaceful with a perfect view of the river. I will be recommending this spot to all of our family and friends. Would love to bring our grandchildren...lots of room for tents. Great for those who want to give camping a try or those like ourselves who love to camp but are unable to any longer for what ever reason. Highly recommend you give it a try. We were very pleased.

We had a great experience staying at Bear Cabin! We had to find something semi last minute in the area, and this was such a hidden gem! Far enough away from town to feel like you are in the middle of the woods but close enough that you don't have to drive too far for groceries. Cabin was very clean and beds were very comfortable. Area around the cabin was very spacious and we had plenty of room for the kids to run around. Walkabout also had numerous things that anyone can use, including an arcade, to keep us busy no matter the weather. The only downside was not being able to drive up to the cabin, however they did provide a wagon they we could use to take trips back and forth. Would highly recommend and would stay here again!

We had such a great experience while staying at Wild Pines. The hosts, Tom and Melissa, were fantastic. They made sure we had everything that we needed and we had the pleasure of talking to them multiple times during our stay. I couldn’t have asked for a better way to spend my boyfriend’s birthday.
