Ohio caverns are within 45 minutes of this location. A local tavern within a mile and the best ice cream in the area within five miles, " the creamery" of Delphos.

Less than a mile from Montpelier, a golf cart community. Small town still host Montpelier Speedway one of the last dirt tracks in Indiana. Races on most Saturday nights. You can also get a round of golf in at Bluewater Golf course 9 hole course located across the road from the lake. I had no problem finding the entrance to the property. I pulled in and contacted Amanda as was asked for in the sites posting for the reservation. I waited and didn't get a reply after about 25 minutes or so I explored and I found my site. It was numbered and found it quite easily on the edge of the large pond which I found out later was once a dolomite quarry. Setup and while I was doing so Amadas parents pulled up and greeted me.
View was great of the water and site was level with a large area to turn around my for vehicle and trailer to leave the next morning. No electric or potable water which I knew beforehand but the porta potti was appreciated. Would definitely use Amandas property again.

I liked it so much I booked it again on my return from Saint Louis! The place is spotless, private and I felt very safe as a solo camper. This is a unique little gem with places to walk and some of the best coffee/pastry just down a little path along the creek. I've done alot of camping with Hipcamp and this is one of my favorite spots so far! It's dry camping so bring your luggable loo if you're not totally self contained. We had a relaxing time at Shawn's Schoolhouse Camp. We were provided easy understandable directions and a great rate . We were greeted by the onsite property manager who was very nice . We were fortunate to have the whole place to ourselves and had our pick of sites. The property was very well kept. Very clean grounds. Beautiful mature trees and landscaping.
There was a wonderful fire pit with cooktop so all that was needed was our utensils .The brats turned out magnificent! Nice picnic table area and chairs to relax in. Ample room for our pup to play . Had a nice bonfire later in the evening.
When in the area we will most definitely look to see if he has availability for another stay.

We stopped for 1 night on our way home from Michigan back to Columbus just to break up the drive. Very peaceful, great sunset, nice shade, and the dogs loved it too. Shawn was very friendly and accommodating. Water and electric hook up and we could dump on our way out which is a great perk! Definitely recommend stay here.

This is a great spot for getting away from the busy campgrounds. Idyllic setting underneath trees and surrounded by corn fields. Shawn is a friendly and communicative host. Easy in and out for our trailer and not far from gas stations, a grocery store, and restaurants. Electric and water hookups available, plus a dump on the way out. Tons of outdoor areas including a garden bench and firepit. Highly recommend.

We loved staying at Shawn’s place. The kids had a blast playing on his G Croquet course. It is quiet and very well kept. Having a dumpster right there as you leave is huge. We had a great stay and will definitely be back. You can tell he loves having you and we enjoyed a great night out at the campfire. Definite must stay!!

We loved camping out here! It was super peaceful and nice. There was only two down falls (weather sucked big time but it gave us more time to spend quality time together, and the grass is really long and unfortunately my mother in law did find a tick in her ear, we would highly recommend trimming it often to prevent any further issues). Otherwise Joshua and Rachael were amazing! They tried to help us with the shower issue we had but due to weather and our hot water tank going it didn’t work out, but we managed!
They offered to give us info on local spots etc. overall just an incredible experience. We would definitely camp here again!

Our very first night as life time mobile living. It was completely random and I'm not sure how our night would have ended without HipCamp or Joshua's home for us to stay in that night. Living city life all the time, and waking up in their backyard was actually quite beautiful and welcome. We needed to leave a little later, and much unlike city life...they were very ok with us leaving late. I only needed to see them to hook up some electric. It took a few minutes for them to notice we had pulled in, but again...this is their backyard they are letting us stay in for a very nominal fee. It was as advertised and worth anyone's boondocking or traveling needs
