Tri Mountain View Campground is located in the Northeast corner of Tennessee in the town of Shady Valley. With an elevation of 2,800 feet, Shady Valley is the second highest town in Tennessee. It is just 26 miles from the Bristol Raceway and the Bristol Caverns. It is just a 15 minute drive to Backbone rock and a short drive to the Appalachian Trail. The property was a Dairy Farm and went out of business in the late 90’s and since then there has been over 3,000 trees planted. Some of these trees include the rare Butternut and Hazelnut, but mostly White Pine, Walnut and Oaks. The property has approximately 1,000 feet of fishing on Beaver dam creek, so we recommend bringing waders. There is also a shower house, washer and dryer.

You'll also have access to a private bathroom complete with a fully functioning toilet, indoor/outdoor hot shower, and sink. The firefly is comfortable for a small family or a romantic get away for couples. The creek is stocked with trout, with easy access along the creek, perfect for wading, floating, and relaxing to the noise. Firefly has a camp style charcoal grill, a firepit with lots of firewood, a wood pellet stove on the covered deck for grilling when its rainy outside, a wood pellet fireplace for heat, outside shower with hot water, a comfy queen size memory foam bed, fresh linens and towels, and an outside bathtub situated by the creek. it has running water and a composting toilet and there is an unattached bathhouse with a conventional toilet and an outside shower as well. The FireFly is pet friendly and please leave $25 on the counter for the pet fee. The Firefly is 6 miles from I-77 and The Blue Ridge Parkway. I keep all paper products, dishes, cookware and pellets for the pellets cooker and for the heater. Plenty of blankets and there is a pellet heater and a propane wall heater there with plenty of propane.

Tri Mountain View Campground is located in the Northeast corner of Tennessee in the town of Shady Valley. With an elevation of 2,800 feet, Shady Valley is the second highest town in Tennessee. It is just 26 miles from the Bristol Raceway and the Bristol Caverns. It is just a 15 minute drive to Backbone rock and a short drive to the Appalachian Trail. The property was a Dairy Farm and went out of business in the late 90’s and since then there has been over 3,000 trees planted. The yurt is 15 mins from Mt Airy NC which is a destination for outdoors activities, wineries, breweries, and has a gorgeous downtown area. Fancy Gap is famous for the BRPW, hiking, mountain biking, and all types of outdoor activities. Mother Earth has a walk in shower, soaking tub, bluetooth music, wifi, and a hot tub. a full kitchen and washer and dryer. I provide all your paper products, coffees, creamer, sugar, shower products and more. it’s in a wooded area with nice views and wildlife in abundance. The Firefly is nestled between trees, on a loud, rushing creek, on a five acre property that is mostly cleared and on a hard surface dead end rd, a few miles from Hillsville, Va. The firefly is comfortable for a small family or a romantic get away for couples. The creek is stocked with trout, with easy access along the creek, perfect for wading, floating, and relaxing to the noise. Firefly has a camp style charcoal grill, a firepit with lots of firewood, a wood pellet stove on the covered deck for grilling when its rainy outside, a wood pellet fireplace for heat, outside shower with hot water, a comfy queen size memory foam bed, fresh linens and towels, and an outside bathtub situated by the creek. it has running water and a composting toilet and there is an unattached bathhouse with a conventional toilet and an outside shower as well. The FireFly is pet friendly and please leave $25 on the counter for the pet fee. The Firefly is 6 miles from I-77 and The Blue Ridge Parkway. I keep all paper products, dishes, cookware and pellets for the pellets cooker and for the heater. Plenty of blankets and there is a pellet heater and a propane wall heater there with plenty of propane.

16 miles North of Marion and closer to Linville Gorge, Linville Falls and The Blue Ridge Parkway area, we are a perfect jump off point for all your adventures including The Apple Orchard at Altapass, Linville Caverns in addition to the ones mentioned above. TangleWood Creekside Campsites offers a rocky creek winding through the woods at the base of several hikable peaks hidden just minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway. Wildlife enthusiasts are encouraged to explore, on foot or mountain-bike, anywhere within our 170 acres (or the adjoining 250 acres owned by the US Forestry Service off our North Western border) and are likely to catch glimpses of turkey, beaver, deer, fox, eastern box turtle and the many species of songbird and raptor.
The location is convenient to tons of local attractions for sightseeing and outdoor activities as well as shopping, dining, even wine tasting. We would be happy to supply a comprehensive list of the various local attractions upon request but the following are a few of our favorite things to do within a short drive: visit Linville Falls, Caverns, Gorge and/or Winery; drive the Blue Ridge parkway; tube/kayak down the Catawba river; hike beautiful Crabtree Falls; cross Grandfather Mountains mile high bridge and explore the nearby towns of Spruce Pines or Little Switzerland. I enjoyed my stay at Blair's land. I camped at Creekside Meadow. The campsite has a fire ring and picnic table right next to the creek. The open meadow also adds to the experience. TangleWood Creekside Campsites is located near Pisgah National Forest, which features some great hiking trails. Blair's land is a unique property that features safari tent lodging and primitive campsites. Blair was very responsive, and communication was good.

Weekend Trip to Blue Bear Mountain Camp
Wife and I spent Valentine’s Day weekend at Blue Bear. Pam called ahead of time and suggested we move from the dome to the cabin since it was an unusually cold weekend.
We are grateful she did!
The space was perfectly clean and the silence in our corner of the campground was so peaceful. Our dog loved running around the open fields as well.
We are recommending our friends join us for round two!

Weekend Trip to Tiny House in Happy Valley
Amazing place at happy valley! Super clean and enjoyable. Great hiking trails around the property and has a good brewery/pizzeria 5 minutes down the road. Had a few inches of sleet/snow (they even plowed the road for us to get out)and the place was so great. Stayed very warm with the wood fired stove, Ziggy and Moonpie were adorable ( their donkey and cow) very accommodating and hopefully plan on coming back for another round!

This little cabin was so perfect for us! The bedroom was so cozy and the place was very warm and inviting. Finding it was very easy.
It is about a 50 minute drive to Asheville from it.
It’s right in the middle of wonderful views, beautiful drives and other places to visit.
Highly recommended for a romantic getaway with simple needs and lots of rest needed as it was quiet. Love love love!
