Eden Oaks Vineyard & Campground was a tobacco farm (antique tobacco barn still on property). The house was built in 1910 and has been updated. We purchased it in 2014 and converted it into a vineyard. We have RV sites with 50 amp and 30 amp electric hookups and water, and tents sites. For 2023 our rates are $30/night for RV Sites (50 amp or 30 amp electric hookups and water) and $25/night for Tent Sites. Tent sites do not have electricity or water hookups, but water is available at the well. (Due to inflation, 2024 our rates will be $30/night for RV Sites, $25/night for Tent Sites.) We do not have a dump station, but we do have a Port A John and a list of dump stations nearby. Campfires are allowed unless we have a state issued burning ban. Campers are responsible for controlling and extinguishing fires. Please be extremely careful during dry or drought conditions. Conveniently located one mile from Hwy 421 but remote and peaceful with plenty of room to roam on our 22 acres with grapevines, fruit trees, forest, creeks, fields, goats, Beagle and Jackabee (Beagle/Jack Russell) dogs, cows, chickens, ducks and goats. Also, we have wildlife such as birds, squirrels, groundhogs, deer, raccoons, opossums, etc. We are about 15 miles from Wilkesboro and North Wilkesboro (home of the Merle Fest and Apple Festival). Before the Kerr Scott Reservoir was built, in the 40's and 50's, this neighborhood was a local swimming hole and vacation area. Public buses came from neighboring communities so people could boat, swim, camp, and picnic. While we don't have access to the pond, our part of this land still is calling out to people, 'Come, rest, unload your burdens, and find peace.' When we started this project with Hipcamp, we didn't fully realize that we were reconnecting with the history on this property. So, come, take your shoes off, and wade in the creek. Read a book while laying in a hammock. Sit by the fire and chat with family and friends. Come and participate in our little homesteading project, and leave your burdens behind. LOCAL ACTIVITIES: To the west is the Blue Ridge Parkway, which is 30 minutes away. 15 minutes away is Kerr Scott Dam where you can rent kayaks, pontoon boats, as well as other sporting equipment. Fish, go mountain biking on the extensive trails, and hiking. Prayer Mountain is right up the road, about 2 miles away. Heading east, you can find several fine wineries andvineyards that you can visit. There is also a moonshine distillery in town. About a half hour away is an Amish community that has several businesses open to the public, including the Shiloh Bakery and General Store. They are closed on Sunday and Monday. To the northeast, about 45 minutes away, is Stone Mountain. Absolutely fantastic hiking, it is also an old homestead that has been renovated and is open to the public. To the south, there is Rocky Face Park, where there is hiking and rock climbing. Nearby, is Emerald Hollow Mine, where you can go and find, and keep, precious stones you find in the nearby river. There is also a great disk course course, Highland Hills Disc Golf Course, one of the top 25 in the country. There is fun for all ages. Merlefest, the last weekend of April, is a world class Bluegrass festival, is located right in our town. Be sure to look at the activities section below for additional information.

Had a quick 1 night stay, last minute trip. Had a quick response to accept our reservation. Site 4 was perfect, easy to access, power and water on site. Great for our Sylvan GO popup. Roy greeted us on arrival and showed us around. He brought a nice size stack of firewood. He also borrowed us a 30A -> 110 adapter so we could plug an extension cord in. We enjoyed the visit in the morning from the donkey and cows. Beautiful property, great hosts, we'll stop back next year.

We loved the camping spot. It was beautiful and peaceful. The meet and greet from the host was fantastic. We really loved visiting the old tobacco barn and walking the trails through the woods.

Our campsite was the only one in the open. It was to the left of the house. along the tree line. We had access to well water and were hooked up to 30 amp power.

Barrfarm was a great place to hang out and camp, and Robert is a great host. Great spot if you are into hunting as well, and I really liked the Coca Cola building.

We enjoyed the weekend so much! Stayed in #3 in a 30 ft travel trailer. Very comfortable! Enough room to spread out! Best thing in the world… Campfire! What a gift to have wood stacked! Be aware there are animals, therefore, barking, and rooster crowing. When we drove up, I heard the barking and I thought oh dear… but it stopped. And then when I would hear it over the weekend, it didn’t even phase me! You also have a road in front of you screened by some trees; there is some road noise, not much on the weekend. We found it did not bother us due to how comfortable we were in the space. Felt very safe and appreciated the friendly hosts! They checked on us just to see if we needed anything. #2 is right beside us, we were blessed to meet a fantastic couple! Sat around the campfire together, two nights in a row! You just never know where you’re gonna meet new friends! We will be returning for sure!

The treehouse was gorgeous, and the land is clearly loved and well-tended. Christine and Ken were so very kind and responsive. Everything was clean and the kitchen was stocked with essentials. I wouldn't have changed a thing. Thank you for a great weekend.

Weekend Trip to Bear Creek Camp And Fishing Pond

Fred's camp site was awesome. He provided patio furniture, cornhole, and a fire pit. The catch and release fishing was great, our friend got to catch a fish for his birthday. Definitely recommend spending the night!

Weekend Trip to Babbling Brook Campground

We had the absolute best stay at the little adjacent barn. Very special to have all the sweet animals all around us. The cottage has everything you need, including fresh eggs and coffee/tea. We had a fire in the fire pit with wood provided. Elizabeth has some awesome recommendations for things to do in the area, which we took her up on and thoroughly enjoyed. Good people, good time!!! Highly recommend this peaceful stay in nature.

The hosts and the other guests were so nice! The yurt is so whimsical ❤️ i love the decor. They were also very accommodating with my dog children ☺️ i would most definitely stay here again.
