Fortunately, both of our domes did not sustain any damage and are fully operational and never stop hosting Hipcampers. All of the main and secondary roads are fully operational in our area and the businesses and restaurants are fully operational and open at normal business hours. Enjoy 100 mile views from your private TreePod or Geodome (both domes have 100 mile views). Relax on the well-appointed deck, complete with an equipped kitchenette, luxurious bathroom, and unique dome featuring a private hot tub, fire table, grill, hammock and comfortable outdoor furniture. Recharge and reconnect with nature as you explore our 20 acres of trails and private pond. ————————————————————— ————————————————————— Experience unforgettable moments at one of the domes of Blowing Rock, where every detail is designed for lasting memories. Enjoy breathtaking 100-mile vistas from the deck, a plush King Bed, and a well-equipped kitchenette paired with a luxurious glamping bathroom. Sleep beneath the stars in comfort, nestled in a King Bed beneath a transparent roof, while the fully functional bathroom offers hot water and a conventional flushing toilet just steps away. This 350-square-foot retreat is complemented by a nearby 300-square-foot bathhouse exclusively for your use. Perched among the trees and carved into the mountainside, the Tripod boasts a deck featuring a hot tub, fire pit, grill, and hammock, inviting relaxation and connection with nature. Built and designed to soak in long range 100 mile views from every angle, the Geodome offers the unique sense of living on the side of a mountain. Lavash in the large deck, see if you can spot Charlotte from the Hot Tub, or lounge in an Adirondack chair by the firepit on cool evenings. Whether indulging in reading, napping, stargazing, or simply soaking in the tranquility, the outdoor furniture and hot tub for each dome provides the perfect vantage points. Keep an eye out for birds and deer as you explore the surrounding 20 acres, including a private pond with fish included for your enjoyment. All of this just minutes to Main Street in Blowing Rock, NC. One of North Carolina's premier mountain towns. OTHER PROPERTY DETAILS LOCATION: We’re located on a 17 acre tract of land with two domes. Both domes can be booked individually or together (please see my other listings in my profile for availability). My goal is always to maximize privacy and I’ve worked hard to create guest seclusion and minimize visibility from the other dome. With that, the domes are separated by 150 feet but are connected via a staircase that has been built into the mountain. If another couple is staying in the other dome during your stay, it is likely that you may hear them during your stay. Finally, our ideal location and close proximity to Blowing Rock is a direct result of our proximity to NC 321. Guests should be aware that they may hear road noise. STEEP MOUNTAIN DRIVEWAY: Please note that the driveway to the TreePod is a mountain road that is ONLY accessible by AWD or 4x4. If you are not comfortable driving on gravel mountain roads, or do not have a 4x4 or AWD, you’re welcome to park at a dedicated space at the top of the driveway and take a 450’ hike to the dome. WINTER WEATHER: In the event of a winter weather during your stay you will be required to park at the top of the driveway regardless of what type of vehicle you arrive in. This does involve a short 350’ walk from that location to the GeoDome door. In general snow fall is light and usually melts the next day. HEATING/COOLING: The Treepod includes both heating and cooling as well as several space heaters and electric blankets. While we make every attempt to create a comfortable environment the domes are not insulated in the same way your home may be and does not heat and cool like a conventional home or apartment. We’ll provide the heated blankets, please bring plenty of warm clothing in the winter. PARKING: Parking is FREE and on Premises but we are only able to accommodate ONE vehicle during your stay. KITCHEN: During the winter months, the kitchen sink may be closed to prevent freezing pipes. If so, water is accessible in the fully functional and heated bathroom. As always, your welcome to use the grill with the supplied grilling tools for cooking. You’ll also find a French coffee press, water kettle, and coffee/creamer/sugar in the event that the Keurig is not available.

Its time to unplug & unwind. Whether you're coming on a solo retreat, romantic getaway or with those you love, adventure is guaranteed. You will not find this experience just anywhere. Located between 3 Major Park, Pisgah, Dupont & Gorges. Hot tub, creek wading, queen bed, twin bunkbed, Minutes from Blueridge Parkway Views, nearby hikes and waterfalls, very photo worthy. FAQs Does the host provide firewood? No Are pets allowed? Yes Is smoking indoors allowed? No Are there bugs? Yes, you will feel like you are camping. Bring bug spray Will I get cold or hot inside the dome? Although we try our best to make it comfortable, there is a chance the heater/ac will not perform the way you would like. This is a shelter that may let cool/hot air in. Pack sleeping bags if you are concerned, or even a heated blanket. Fans provided. What else is provided? Shelter, bed, sheets, blankets, towels, toaster, mini fridge, toilet paper, hot tub, & fans. Bathrooms? Each dome has their own portable toilet that is treated weekly. Running water? No Cell service & Internet? T Mobile does not have reception. AT&T has service. There is no internet or TVs. We encourage you to unplug and connect. Parking? You will have comfortable parking for 1 car. The driveway is fairly steep. Will I be the only one around for miles? There is another dome on the property 100 yards away. This property also houses our Creekside Cottage across the creek for guests. Please stay on your side of the creek :) Is there a road nearby? The road you drive in on is about 50 feet from the dome so you will hear cars driving by. When we stay there it becomes white noise but you will hear them. Is the stocked pond only for my group? The pond is accessible for you, guests at creekside cottage & guests at the other dome. The creek is as well. Is the Hot Tub for only my group? YES, if you rented the Freedome this is only for your group. The other dome gets access to the sauna and Creekside Cottage has its own hot tub. Is the Sauna for only my group? YES, if you rented the Kingdome this is only for your group. The other dome gets access to the hot tub and Creekside Cottage has its own hot tub. What do you advise we bring? Firewood.If needed plates, cups, utensils, coffee & coffee filters. If you are a colder person bring a heavy duty sleeping bag or extra blankets to be safe. Good shoes as it may get slippery/muddy. Fishing gear if you want to catch some trout for dinner. Portable grill or skillet if needed. Bug spray, adventure energy, swimsuits. You may want to try a dip in the creek and back to the hot tub for a Wim Hof experience.

I've been camping for all 40 of my years on this planet and this was the best camping experience I've ever had. I'm usually the primative camping type but my GF along our dog and I were on a road trip from Minnesota and I wanted to find the best campsite with the best view of the mountains while we were down there, despite not having any of our gear with us. I'm absolutely convinced that we found it. Everything was easy to find when we showed up and we had the whole place to ourselves since it was a Monday into Tuesday. When we arrived our tent was unlocked and ready for us, and the firewood already stacked next to the pit. We literally got out of the car and went straight to the hammocks and enjoyed the view. I specifically booked the only clear-sky night of the week and was rewarded with one of the top 3 sunsets I've ever seen. Absolutely phenomenal. William eventually came to check on us and make sure we found anything, what a friendly guy!! We BS'd for a little bit while he played with our dog and I loved every second of it. It felt like such a privilege to be in such a beautiful place with an amazing host. William, we can't thank you enough! Definitely hope to make it back one day. My only regret is only staying for a single night. What an absolute gem.

A little difficult to find, but Ravi called us and helped us find the camp, and sent pictures of where to turn. But once we arrived, everything was enjoyable! Beds and couches were comfy, amenities were great! Shower water was nice and hot, and we were safe from the rain!

Such a beautiful property and so well-designed! Even better than the photos convey. Each yurt, along with the cabin, offers its own gorgeous, unique view and level of separation from other sites. The tent sites probably offer the most privacy if that’s what you’re after. The vista from the picnic/BBQ area is also so beautiful and peaceful. The amount of work the owners have put into their campground is very evident, and I’m grateful they share it with the public. Less than a half hour to South Mountains state park which has begun its phased re-opening post-Helene (hooray!!). Definitely hope to return someday soon!

Weekend Trip to Outercamp, Blue Ridge Falls Retreat
It's been a week since my stay at Wild Fairies, and I've thought about it every day. It was exactly the peaceful break I needed after a hectic few weeks. Truly a serene place to get away and spend some quiet time with nature. I even saw a bear just past the shower! Plus a few turkey and plenty of birds enjoying the Spring weather. The yurt was just gorgeous. Everything I could've possibly needed was provided. I was kicking myself for leaving my binoculars at home, but there was even a pair in one of the drawers! The bed was comfortable after a day out on the trails, and the outdoor kitchen area was perfect for cooking up meals to enjoy on the porch. Thank you, Evan, for making and sharing such a lovely place!

My family and I had a great experience at Starlight. Exactly as pictured. William is very attentive and met with us at our site shortly after we arrived to greet and give us some information about the grounds. While walking the grounds, you can really grasp the vision William has for Starlight as he is consistently expanding and improving the campground. It was our base for enjoying the area. From hiking Catawba Falls to adventures and rapids at the U.S. National Whitewater Center! Another great family vacation in the books!

The place is thoughtfully laid out. Love the multiple housing options. We stayed in the yurt, decorated with intention. The lights at night in the trees made the evening feel warm and inviting. Bathrooms were clean. When entering the address in the gps be sure to put in the city Travelers Rest, address defaults to Greenville which is a residential area. Great stay, definitely want to try out another house perhaps the A frame house. :)

We had a great time staying at the glamping dome! The farm and mountain views were beautiful, especially while enjoying our morning coffee. At night, we loved sitting by the fire and relaxing in the dome. The outdoor shower was a fun touch, and being in nature was so nice. Our host was very kind and made sure we had everything we needed. Our dog also had a fantastic time! We really loved our stay and would love to come back in the future. Highly recommend!
