Weekend Trip to Standing Bear Farm / Hostel

This place is an absolute gem!🏕🧸 Every detail from the handmade tree house to the outdoor shower feels crafted with love and care. The shower itself is stunning, with a beautiful cobblestone bridge leading to it and the peaceful sound of nearby creeks setting the most serene atmosphere. There’s a cozy communal space to sit around the fire that feels so welcoming and homey. Everyone we met was incredibly friendly, and the whole space has such a kind, open-hearted vibe. It’s clear how much intention went into creating this magical little haven. We’ll definitely be back!🤎

Weekend Trip to Holy Smokies Rv Park And Glamping

This was a great stop on our way into the Smoky's. The hosts were very responsive and the bathrooms were new and clean. I would highly recommend this spot.

2 nights at Wilderwood Smoky Mountains

We loved our stay in the tiny house! Super comfy bed, very convenient to have a kitchen w/ sink and fridge inside, and bathroom attached. Short walk to the showers, microwave area, etc. We stayed on a chilly March weekend and were kept warm with the provided space heater. Easy ~45 min drive to the sugarlands visitor center at the national park. Lynne was very communicative and kind - thanks for a wonderful stay!

Beautiful campsite with 24 hour kitchen and ability to have a campfire! Definitely saving this campsite for future trips! Maria was very hospitable. Cute dogs, cats and chickens!

We had a great time. We loved having the animals come up to the fence and interact with us. The spot is not level so just know you will need leveling supplies. Loved our visit.

Weekend Trip to Magical Mountain Resorts

We camped there our last night of a week long camping trip. All the staff was super nice and we even got a tour of some of the cabins, Mary has put so much work into this magical place! Our group had so much fun and even got to meet the adorable goats, horses, donkey, and pigs! Facilities are all very nice and clean. We loved the swings by the stream and the solar powered fairy lights at night!!

We loved staying in the tiny house! It was a wonderful experience. Clean, well appointed, comfortable and so peaceful. Just what we needed!! Lynne was wonderful and communicative. Highly recommend!! 💕

Weekend Trip to Ash Grove Cabins and Camping

We loved camping with our travel trailer. All the sites are pull through so no backing up on steep mountain hills! They also offer a dump station which is pull through. We enjoyed the suggestions of places to eat and shop but especially loved the waterfall guide. Mark and Ester were easy to work with and truly seem to care for their campers.

An amazing wonderland trip. Such a unique and beautiful campground. The host is super friendly and allowed my children to help feed her animals daily which meant a lot to my son. My children hiked up the mountain daily and saw interesting plants, rocks and a little waterfall. The decor and the vibe is beyond family friendly. I will definitely be back to check out the candyland cabins.

We loved camping here in our RV! The animals are amazing and so much fun to play with! The land is beautiful and the whole place is very quiet and peaceful. We can’t wait to go back in the summer and play in the creek.

This is the campground is absolutely amazing! Shannon has obviously put her heart and soul into giving her guest a most magical experience! From the time you pass the 6 ft tall mushrooms at the entrance you will find a clean well kept mix of truly magical themed cabins, a petting zoo with the sweetest mix of lovable animals, an activity/game area with something for everyone. Can’t wait to go back!!!!

Our family had a great stay in the tiny house! Everything was as described. Bed was comfortable. Having a private toilet was nice.

Great views! All we needed! Rain squelched our plans for more hiking, but having the game room on site helped keep the kids entertained. Clean bathrooms close by and the pasture stayed busy with animal friends. Very close to town but Ray and Shannon were also so willing to help if needed.

Y'ALL! If you've never heard of Magical Mountain Resorts, The Enchanted Forest you're thoroughly missing out! Words and pictures can not explain how magical this place is! You can rent Hagrid's cabin, the Harry Potter double Decker bus, two Alice in Wonderland cabins, Snow White's cottage and two Candyland Cottages. Plus RV/Tent sites. The care and effort that Shannon and her people put into this place is absolutely ridiculous! I can't tell you how accommodating these people are. They've really created such a magical place. If you have kids, you HAVE to check this place out! 🍄 🐰 🪄 ✨

In the heart of the Smoky Mountains surrounded by Cherokee National Forest lies Standing Bear Farm, a turn of the century multi-generational farmstead including the original homestead, barns, outbuildings and farmhouse. The outbuildings have now been converted to a bunkhouse and cabin where we offer rustic lodging to hikers and others interested in stepping back from today's hectic lifestyle to a time in America's past when life in rural back-country Appalachia was considered the "good life". Road closure notice in the wake of hurricane Helene: PLEASE READ! Currently, we are accessible by road only via I40 East. You take Waterville Road Exit 451 and go underneath the interstate and up the gravel road (going around the road closed signs) to our hostel which is the first building on said road. We hope that I40 will open back up here soon with two lanes going in either direction, but as of now we do not know when that will be (though we hope soon!). We will post updates on our webpage and Facebook as we learn more and look forward to seeing everyone's smiling faces during the 2025 hiking season! We are first-come, first-served in Northbound thru hiking season (March 15 through May 15), however, reservations are available at all other times of the year by contacting us via phone 4234870014 (Call) or 4236080149 (Call or Text). Hike or drive-in. Business hours: 8am-8pm. Open year round and on holidays. Call ahead if arriving early in the morning or late at night. We offer shuttles to various locations on and off the trail. Give us a call to inquire about our kenneling and shuttle service for your furry friends that are not allowed in the GSMNP.
