Weekend Trip to Luxurious Couples Getaway-Reboot!

Such a fun cabin and conveniently located close to town. We had so much fun exploring the hiking trails and wineries nearby. The cabin had all the thoughtful touches: a projector to watch tv, cute outdoor lounge area with a fireplace, and an awesome outdoor shower. We loved the hot tub! Sunny was quick to communicate with! We will absolutely be back.

This hipcamp is one of the most magical we have been to. It is gorgeous and the photos don’t do it justice. I highly recommend this hipcamp and we will be back. One note for anyone driving a camper - the driveway up has a lot of sharp turns and ruts along the edges as it climbs up the mountain, but it is fine as long as you take your time. I am glad we did it in daylight the first time, though.

The host was very nice and helpful. We booked this site last minute it saved our little vacation. This site is in a driveway technically but it was very level and clean. Even with it being in the driveway it still felt pretty private with the space provided. There is a bit of road noise with the roads right around the area. There also some roosters down the road that are pretty loud early in the morning.

I hate to leave this review because I fear our fantastic experience will just make it harder for us to rent this site in the future. We stayed at the site in our Sprinter Van for 3 nights. The views are simply stunning, the site is spacious and beautifully situated, the hot tub was fantastic and we loved the outside shower! It was also a great lot for our dogs to run and play off leash. This was the perfect spot for us since we felt like we were the only people for miles. In reality, we were close enough to Cashiers if we needed to leave the site - but we didn’t leave! Lee was incredibly responsive and very helpful. We decided to extend our stay for one night and were able to with no hassle. We will be back very soon!.

Weekend Trip to Misty Mountain Inn & Cottages

The cabins are cozy and well appointed. We fell in love with Dragonfly cabin and it's spot amongst the other cabins. The grounds are beautiful and well kept. The chickens come out about the same time each morning and it was fun to watch them have breakfast and roam around. We took the opportunity to purchase some of their eggs and were not disappointed. Take the time to walk up the hill to see the horses! The cabins are centrally located to Blairsville, Blue Ridge and Helen with great restaurants and sightseeing in all directions. We wish our stay could have been longer! Thank you to the nicest hosts and we will be back!

My Wife and I (dogs as well) were exceptionally pleased with our stay for the weekend. We felt that the overall location is very conveniently placed, however, perfectly hidden. Their property is beautifully maintained. It is very apparent the amount of foresight and hard work that went into developing their land for travelers to visit. From an outside perspective, you feel a sense of humility and nostalgia influenced by the landscape. Our cabin was pleasantly clean and was well prepared for us. Everything inside the cabin functions, as it should. From the individualism in the decorations of each cabin to the craftsmanship of the stairs and landings, it all displayed significant attention to detail. Our dogs had a blast exploring around our cabin. The free ranging chickens made us feel at home. The owners were helpful and accessible to answer questions we had. Our cabin was cozy and was a nice place to lay our heads at night. We were sad to get up this morning and leave. Bill and Sarah have done a great job and should be proud!

This tiny cabin was exactly what we needed for a peaceful getaway! My husband and I recently got remarried to set a new anniversary date, as our original one carried difficult memories. We wanted something simple and relaxing, and this space was perfect—cozy, welcoming, and well-stocked with everything from blankets and cooking essentials to a hair dryer and even shampoo and conditioner for the outdoor shower! Everything was clean and fresh upon arrival, and the bed was incredibly comfortable, offering both heavy and light pillows for those who like options. The porch felt comfortably private while still letting us enjoy the sounds and sights of nature. The string lights at night are such a beautiful touch! The owner, Sunny, was friendly and responsive when I had a question about the outdoor shower. A well-organized binder provided clear instructions for everything (from the cooktop and hot tub spa to the projector and everything else) along with local recommendations. We took a scenic drive to Amicalola Falls, passing several charming apple orchards. Stopping at B.J. Reece Orchards for their famous fried pies was a delicious highlight! We’d highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking to escape the busyness of everyday life—especially couples wanting to slow down, be intentional with their time together, and remind themselves why they choose each other every day.

We really enjoyed our stay at Candy Goat Mountain. Accessing the upper site can be a little intimidating and needed four wheel drive but once settled in it was fabulous. Watching the goats on their daily walk was a lot of fun. Scott and Nancy were super accommodating, friendly and both do a great job. Would definitely stay here again.

Our six-acre solar-powered goat farm is a quiet and peaceful slice of paradise away from the chaos and noise but close to so many places to adventure. Feed and play with the goats, picnic along our grass-covered brook, hang out around the large fire pit, and rejuvenate while being close to the many Smoky and Blue Ridge Mountain activities. We have two custom-built RV pads with 15 and 30-amp service plus water and four grass tent locations overlooking a small brook in a forest-shaded park-like setting. Internet is provided by Starlink Business - high speed, low latency, and great for remote workers. We provide solid service throughout the entire property. Work from the top of a mountain!! IP service is available throughout the property - perfect for Van Life or van living. 200-300 down and at least 20-30 up!! Nearby are numerous hiking trails, lakes, waterfalls, and other outdoor activities such as tubing, white water rafting, and boating. If you want to chill, you can check out a local swimming hole. For the next few months we have a kayak guide on-property who can take you and your group through some of the lakes and streams nearby. Contact us for availability and pricing. We have several options for our guests at the farm, including a small zipline, farm activities, loop trail, spring trail, weekly outdoor movies (on request), and our petting area where you can interact with very friendly goats. RV/CAR/VANLIFE We can help by recommending and using local mechanics, on-site RV repair (they come to us), solar and power troubleshooting, and good old-fashioned southern kindness. STORMS/BAD WEATHER Shelter in vehicles or the camp store located at the far end of the campground.

Our 19 acres on Brushy Mountain is nestled away in the Ellicott Rock Wilderness Area of the Nantahala National Forest, the largest of NC's four National Forests with over 500,000 acres of pristine wilderness. The famous Iron Bridge over the headwaters of the Chattooga River is just a short drive away down Bull Pen Road. You will find some of the best trout fishing and hiking trails in all of North Carolina at your doorstep. This temperate rain forest is enjoyable in every season and is exceptional in its ecological diversity and abundance. If you are interested in hiking to beautiful waterfalls, fishing in native trout streams, bird watching or star gazing, this is the place for you! And if you need supplies from town, Cashiers is the closest and is about 25 minutes away and Highlands is about a 45 minute drive. Both have great restaurants and shops to check out. Our gated, gravel driveway is steep and a half mile long. You will need an all-wheel or 4 Wheel drive vehicle to get up the driveway without spinning. There is ample space to turn around to park, but due to the nature of our driveway we limit the length of RV's to no more than 20 feet. We just retired from Active Duty Air Force! My ancestors have owned the land our NC cabins sit on since 1836. In fact, my mother grew up there after my Grandfather returned from WWII when there was no electricity and the outhouse was a bench over the creek. I grew up hiking the mountains with my brothers and our BB guns and my Uncle Frank at our family reunions. In 2005 he deeded us a parcel of land and we built our first cabin - Smawlie. We love to come to the cabin and Hike the trails on our own property, and of course, the world famous ones that join them, namely the Bartram and the Appalachian Trails. As you explore the lake, the trails, the rivers, and the mountain roads you'll see why our ancestors settled here. In 2018 - we bought the remainder of Uncle Frank's land - and in his honor built our second cabin - Frank's Landing. Also in that year I started managing my brother Bill's cabin. When we were stationed in Alaska for 6 heavenly years - we purchased a remote parcel of property and have slowly begun to develop it. We just completed building our cabin there. The property provides 30 acres of mostly forest land for guests to explore. It features four uniquely designed treehouses to fit any travelers needs, and is perfect for hosting groups and events! Here at Treehouse Mountain, our goal is to provide everything that we would want if we were to travel to other rentals. During your stay, you can find that we are readily available if there's anything we can help out with or want help planning your trip to the area as well. The bathhouse is a shared facility between three of the treehouses. It features two showers and two bathrooms (all separate rooms) and is fully climate controlled (warm in winter, cool in summer). It is cleaned daily, sometimes multiple times a day depending on usage. In the shower rooms, guests can find shampoo, conditioner, and body soap available for their use. In the bathrooms, there is toilet paper, hand soap, hand sanitizer, and hair dryers available as well. The treehouses have been furnished with you in mind. All linens are provided (all bedding, kitchen towels, bath towels, etc) and additional linens are available upon request. Each treehouse has a kitchenette area, complete with sink, drip-pot coffee maker (coffee, creamer, sugar provided), toaster, microwave, and half-size refrigerator. There are additional items such as a rice cooker, water kettle, and some snack items provided as well. They each also have a Blackstone Griddle for cooking in an outdoor cooking area. There is a parking area for guests' cars. The paths on property are well-lit, so there's no need to worry if you arrive in the evening. The owners live on property and are readily available to help during check in and check out if needed. Each treehouse has a private fire-pit with firewood and fire starter provided. Other things to note - The cabin is heated by electric baseboards as well as a propane wall unit in the living area - The A/C unit in the loft window cools the loft as well as the living area and there is a second unit in the downstairs bedroom, as well as ceiling fans in all the rooms. - No indoor fires - Please note this is a remote location and while wifi access is available it cannot always be guaranteed.
