This site has a pull through, full hookup spot with 30amp for campers but tents are always welcome or a combination of the two. I've had a 33' camper, popup camper and 6 tents at this campsite all at the same time so there plenty of room for your family and friends! We're 2.5 miles from the Cherokee Casino and 3.5 miles from down town Cherokee If you're tired of crowded campgrounds then you'll love the privacy this campground offers. This is now a two site campground with each site being around 100' away from the other site with trees and vegetation growing in between, you more or less cant see on site from the other from May until November. There is a orange cone that marks the border of the two sites. One set of campers will not be allowed on the other campers campsite, if this happens you will be evicted with no refund. Check in is at 2pm and check out is at 12pm. No shooting firearms, (although you may hear people shooting firearms because you will be camping in the mountains) but your more than welcome to bring your firearms. Its better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it. No fireworks. There is a 2000-watt Solar Generator in the cabin that can be used for lights, charging cell phones, and running the pump for the shower. The Solar Panels are enough to charge the Generator to 100% each day. Rainwater is used for showers. The gutter system on the cabin is used to catch rainwater. The downspout runs into a "First Flush Diverter", which allows any dust, dirt, or anything else that might land on the roof between the rainstorms to be diverted away from the water storage tank. The clean rainwater then fills the water storage tank. Be aware that Rainwater is fine for showers, but is not meant for drinking. Propane is connected to a space heater and the shower. The space heater is 17,000 BTUs, which is plenty for colder nights. The shower has an at-source water heater and can heat the water up to 120 degrees, which is more than enough for a hot shower. There is plenty of room for the fire pit, vehicles, animals, and any outdoor games you might want to bring (cornhole). Both Bryson City and Franklin are fairly close to the cabin. Bryson City is approximately 20 minutes away, while Franklin is approximately 30 minutes away. Both towns offer great little downtown areas that have shopping and restaurants. Don't be afraid to try the food trucks, they have some of the best food. Bryson City has many trails for hiking such as the Road to nowhere, Noland Divide Trail, Three Waterfalls Loop (FYI: There are three waterfalls on this trail), and Deep Creek Waterfall Loop. The fishing in Bryson City is also great and the guided trips are very reasonably priced. I would suggest going in the morning and doing a float trip. Franklin is bigger and a little more spread out than Bryson city, but there are a lot of neat little stores and restaurants. I personally like going to the Currahee Brewing Company. Currahee is right on the river and is set up to host live bands and it gets pretty lively in the late afternoons and evenings on the weekends. Other things to note One of the things you would want to bring is a 1 lb propane bottle for the Torch that is provided. Using the torch to start a fire is much easier than kindling. The solar generator has enough power to run the small coffee pot if you don't want to use the percolator. The generator also has enough power to run hair dryers. The main thing you want to keep in mind is anything that uses a heating element will drain the battery quickly. Lanterns are provided If needed. Overall, you should be good to go, but it is something to keep in mind.

Coweeta Creek Campground has water, electric, and septic on Sites 1, 2, and 3 as well as a firepit and picnic table. The bathhouse allows for hot showers and flushing toilets. We have chickens, bees, vegetable gardens, and a small fruit orchard. We recently added a 1/2 mile trail, called Turkey Foot Trail, through the wooded area. The campground is somewhat secluded (some neighbors across the creek), but only 15 minutes from Franklin, NC and 15 minutes from Clayton, GA with plenty of shopping/restaurants. Once you are at the campground you won't want to leave the beauty of the creek! Strong Wifi is available at all sites. Network password will be provided before arrival. Property History: Coweeta Creek Campground WAS a 20 site, thriving, family/church oriented campground from the 1970's that was later sold, then neglected. Wake up to the sounds of a babbling creek and beautiful mountain views, hike the Road to Nowhere, kayak the Little Tennesee River, cook hot dogs over an open fire, and then open the glass panel garage door and fall asleep under the most beautiful sky you will ever see. Rowdy Bear Highlights: • 12ft glass panel door that opens the cabin to nature • Queen Tempurpedic bed • Rain Captured Shower • Fire Pit The Space: The Rowdy Bear is an Off-Grid Cabin that is situated in the Great Smoky Mountains with easy access to both Bryson City and Franklin. The cabin itself was built using rough sawn wood acquired from a local sawmill. Many of the items used in the cabin came from local shops or antique stores. There is a 2000-watt Solar Generator in the cabin that can be used for lights, charging cell phones, and running the pump for the shower. The Solar Panels are enough to charge the Generator to 100% each day. Rainwater is used for showers. The gutter system on the cabin is used to catch rainwater. The downspout runs into a "First Flush Diverter", which allows any dust, dirt, or anything else that might land on the roof between the rainstorms to be diverted away from the water storage tank. The clean rainwater then fills the water storage tank. Be aware that Rainwater is fine for showers, but is not meant for drinking. Propane is connected to a space heater and the shower. The space heater is 17,000 BTUs, which is plenty for colder nights. The shower has an at-source water heater and can heat the water up to 120 degrees, which is more than enough for a hot shower. A porta potty is provided for bathroom purposes and is cleaned and restocked every Thursday. Pets are allowed! The following items are provided: 1. Linens 2. Towels 3. There is plenty of room for the fire pit, vehicles, animals, and any outdoor games you might want to bring (cornhole). Both Bryson City and Franklin are fairly close to the cabin. Bryson City is approximately 20 minutes away, while Franklin is approximately 30 minutes away. Both towns offer great little downtown areas that have shopping and restaurants. Don't be afraid to try the food trucks, they have some of the best food. Bryson City has many trails for hiking such as the Road to nowhere, Noland Divide Trail, Three Waterfalls Loop (FYI: There are three waterfalls on this trail), and Deep Creek Waterfall Loop. The fishing in Bryson City is also great and the guided trips are very reasonably priced. I would suggest going in the morning and doing a float trip. Franklin is bigger and a little more spread out than Bryson city, but there are a lot of neat little stores and restaurants. I personally like going to the Currahee Brewing Company. Currahee is right on the river and is set up to host live bands and it gets pretty lively in the late afternoons and evenings on the weekends. Other things to note One of the things you would want to bring is a 1 lb propane bottle for the Torch that is provided. Using the torch to start a fire is much easier than kindling. The solar generator has enough power to run the small coffee pot if you don't want to use the percolator. The generator also has enough power to run hair dryers. The main thing you want to keep in mind is anything that uses a heating element will drain the battery quickly. Lanterns are provided If needed. Overall, you should be good to go, but it is something to keep in mind.

This campsite offers ample room for any size family or camping group. The grounds are safe, clean and comfortable, with electric hookups, hot showers, and a toilet—all while being surrounded by the breathtaking beauty of untouched wilderness. Being here brought back childhood memories of exploring and charting unknown territory. The peaceful waterfall sings a gentle lullaby each night, carrying you into the deepest sleep. There is truly no campsite that compares. My only complaint? I lost track of time. I enjoyed myself so much and felt so disconnected from the outside world that days effortlessly blended into nights before it was suddenly time to leave. This was my parents’ first-ever camping trip, and the host did not disappoint! He was readily available to help them hook up their new RV and made sure they felt at home. By the end of the stay, they felt like pros thanks to his guidance. You can’t go wrong with this site—book now and make those special memories. We are so glad we did!

My family and I stayed at campsite number one. The scenery is beautiful and the whole park is very clean and well laid out. We loved that there was a good amount of space and privacy between the sites. The creek is very soothing and beautiful. It was very convenient having seasoned firewood and fresh farm eggs available to purchase on site. The eggs were delicious and the chickens greet you every time you walk to the bathhouse. Speaking of the bath house it was very clean and the showers were nice and hot with plenty of water pressure. There is an ingles 11 minutes away to stock up on food. There is also a beautiful easy trail 6 minutes away called Tessentee bottomlands preserve. Adam was a very welcoming and attentive host. I would definitely suggest this campground for anyone looking to have a peaceful, private camping experience.

The Islandsite is probably one of, if not the most unique and beautiful campsites I’ve stayed at. Brian communicated everything we needed to know ahead of our arrival. This spot was exactly the breath of fresh air I needed. The sites were beautifully maintained, the views were stunning, and the hosts were wonderfully communicative. I ended up extending my stay—twice! I even caught the northern lights during the solar flares, which made the whole experience feel magical. Sitting beside the creek was the perfect way to slow down and enjoy the day—it added a gentle rhythm to the whole trip. The location is peaceful yet close enough to town to be convenient. Highly recommend.

Site 1 is beautiful. It sits right on the edge of the creek. The sounds of the water flowing over the rocks nearby were so peaceful. The property is quiet and well-maintained. The bathhouse was exceptionally clean, and the showers have fantastic water pressure. Owners are very nice and came out to say hello to us. Ten out of ten, and am already planning a return trip for the springtime.

My partner and I spent two peaceful nights at this private and magical site. The creek was only a few feet from our tent site which made for excellent sleeping. The platform for our tent kept us warm and dry. We awoke to a beautiful view and id'ed many birds. The field allowed us to practice with our boomerangs too! We loved tent camping on Ashley's land! He was very hospitable and kind. We loved hearing about all the animals and things he was doing with his time. We were right by the creek, so at night it was very soothing. Our children loved playing and throwing the ball with Ashley's dogs. It was our first time camping, so we didn't know what to expect but it was one of the best experiences yet and there was even a shower! We can't wait to go back! Thanks for the great time guys!
