Weekend Trip to TeePee Village

Dirk was a fantastic host! The site has a great set-up: - Each Teepee has it’s own bathroom & shower - Teepee’s equip with surge protector outlets, AC unit, fan, and light - Gas and charcoal grill work great - Hot tub seemed to work, but we didn’t use it The spot is so easy to find, and Dirk met us as soon as we got there to show us around. He was a great host and made sure we had everything we needed. The location is nice and tucked away, so we felt secluded and safe. We were the only Teepee rented the nights we were there, but they seem far enough apart to not hear ovcupants of the other 2. The TeePee definitely got toasty from about 11 A.M. to sunset, but cooled off nicely as the sun went down. Sleeping temps were perfect (actually too cold so we turned the AC down in the night). Bed was comfortable as well. My girlfriend had never been camping so I choose this spot with it’s amenities, and we both had a great time! Both the Ocoee and Hiwasse were awesome!

1 night at Camp Margaritaville RV Resort & Lodge - Pigeon Forge

These sites all have a paved pad with full hookups. The bathhouse is new and very nice. The best parts are the pool, arcade, and lazy River. Going along with the theme, there is a lady traveling around the resort peddling margaritas.

5 nights at Friendship Falls Campground

This tiny home is a perfect getaway! Looks exactly like photos. Tucked away at quiet campground, which is sufficient in itself, but it’s also close to some overlooks on the foothills parkway and 30 min or so from Great Smokies main entrances, Gatlinburg and other attractions. Will was responsive. Definitely recommend booking! :)

This place was simply magical! My husband and I came for our first wedding anniversary and we are leaving with full hearts. Amazing views, ample parking and the hot tub was divine! The drive was windy and the spot remote. We definitely got to test out some of our equipment with the storms that rolled through.

3 nights at Contrast Cove Glamping Dome

This remote dome has it all, spectacular view (even laying in the bed) every were, hot tub, grill, and very nicely furnished. The location was very close to the rafting we did on pigeon river. Highly recommend!

Weekend Trip to Magnolia Moon Farm

Wow, what an amazing find Magnolia Moon Farm is! Probably one of the best rentals we've ever had. We stayed in the Yurt and came fully loaded with a 1.5 year old, wife, and pup. Our baby and dog had SO much fun romping around in the yard and checking out the friendly goats and chickens. We've never experienced such friendliness and hospitality from our hosts than we did here; I would highly recommend anyone looking for a quiet getaway glamping trip to check out Magnolia Moon Farm. DONT FORGET to bring cash for the Thursty Goat, their on-site bar that is staffed and operated by the owners - we missed out this time but we'll be back to chum it up soon and take full advantage of their services soon!

it was our second time here, and it’s a great spot for families. goats, baby chickens, two friendly dogs, a zip line, and fire wood galore. we hammock camped, but there’s room for small or medium tents. probably not a large 8-person tent. it’s a chill place that is more than worth the price.

Weekend Trip to Hiawassee Glamping

The view from the Hiawassee glamping house is wonderful! Whether from the big front porch or from the fantastic open kitchen, you can see Lake Chatuge and beautiful rolling North Georgia and North Carolina mountains. The house had everything we needed - even an electric fireplace that put out heat on the first chilly morning. We explored the charming area - hiking, shopping, a stop at the brewery, and a lovely winery tour at Crane Creek Vineyards and dinner at Paris and Co. the French restaurant on site. Bryan was very helpful with local suggestions. I recommend the Trailful store in Hiawassee! Overall a wonderful place to spend the Memorial Day weekend!

Weekend Trip to Luxurious Couples Getaway-Reboot!

Such a fun cabin and conveniently located close to town. We had so much fun exploring the hiking trails and wineries nearby. The cabin had all the thoughtful touches: a projector to watch tv, cute outdoor lounge area with a fireplace, and an awesome outdoor shower. We loved the hot tub! Sunny was quick to communicate with! We will absolutely be back.

This hipcamp is one of the most magical we have been to. It is gorgeous and the photos don’t do it justice. I highly recommend this hipcamp and we will be back. One note for anyone driving a camper - the driveway up has a lot of sharp turns and ruts along the edges as it climbs up the mountain, but it is fine as long as you take your time. I am glad we did it in daylight the first time, though.

A little difficult to find, but Ravi called us and helped us find the camp, and sent pictures of where to turn. But once we arrived, everything was enjoyable! Beds and couches were comfy, amenities were great! Shower water was nice and hot, and we were safe from the rain!

I hate to leave this review because I fear our fantastic experience will just make it harder for us to rent this site in the future. We stayed at the site in our Sprinter Van for 3 nights. The views are simply stunning, the site is spacious and beautifully situated, the hot tub was fantastic and we loved the outside shower! It was also a great lot for our dogs to run and play off leash. This was the perfect spot for us since we felt like we were the only people for miles. In reality, we were close enough to Cashiers if we needed to leave the site - but we didn’t leave! Lee was incredibly responsive and very helpful. We decided to extend our stay for one night and were able to with no hassle. We will be back very soon!.

We just retired from Active Duty Air Force! My ancestors have owned the land our NC cabins sit on since 1836. In fact, my mother grew up there after my Grandfather returned from WWII when there was no electricity and the outhouse was a bench over the creek. I grew up hiking the mountains with my brothers and our BB guns and my Uncle Frank at our family reunions. In 2005 he deeded us a parcel of land and we built our first cabin - Smawlie. We love to come to the cabin and Hike the trails on our own property, and of course, the world famous ones that join them, namely the Bartram and the Appalachian Trails. As you explore the lake, the trails, the rivers, and the mountain roads you'll see why our ancestors settled here. In 2018 - we bought the remainder of Uncle Frank's land - and in his honor built our second cabin - Frank's Landing. Also in that year I started managing my brother Bill's cabin. When we were stationed in Alaska for 6 heavenly years - we purchased a remote parcel of property and have slowly begun to develop it. We just completed building our cabin there. Our 19 acres on Brushy Mountain is nestled away in the Ellicott Rock Wilderness Area of the Nantahala National Forest, the largest of NC's four National Forests with over 500,000 acres of pristine wilderness. The famous Iron Bridge over the headwaters of the Chattooga River is just a short drive away down Bull Pen Road. You will find some of the best trout fishing and hiking trails in all of North Carolina at your doorstep. This temperate rain forest is enjoyable in every season and is exceptional in its ecological diversity and abundance. If you are interested in hiking to beautiful waterfalls, fishing in native trout streams, bird watching or star gazing, this is the place for you! And if you need supplies from town, Cashiers is the closest and is about 25 minutes away and Highlands is about a 45 minute drive. Both have great restaurants and shops to check out. Our gated, gravel driveway is steep and a half mile long. You will need an all-wheel or 4 Wheel drive vehicle to get up the driveway without spinning. There is ample space to turn around to park, but due to the nature of our driveway we limit the length of RV's to no more than 20 feet. If you do not feel comfortable maneuvering your RV up steep. winding and gravel terrain, please email me to discuss.

The property provides 30 acres of mostly forest land for guests to explore. It features four uniquely designed treehouses to fit any travelers needs, and is perfect for hosting groups and events! Here at Treehouse Mountain, our goal is to provide everything that we would want if we were to travel to other rentals. During your stay, you can find that we are readily available if there's anything we can help out with or want help planning your trip to the area as well. The bathhouse is a shared facility between three of the treehouses. It features two showers and two bathrooms (all separate rooms) and is fully climate controlled (warm in winter, cool in summer). It is cleaned daily, sometimes multiple times a day depending on usage. In the shower rooms, guests can find shampoo, conditioner, and body soap available for their use. In the bathrooms, there is toilet paper, hand soap, hand sanitizer, and hair dryers available as well. The treehouses have been furnished with you in mind. All linens are provided (all bedding, kitchen towels, bath towels, etc) and additional linens are available upon request. Each treehouse has a kitchenette area, complete with sink, drip-pot coffee maker (coffee, creamer, sugar provided), toaster, microwave, and half-size refrigerator. There are additional items such as a rice cooker, water kettle, and some snack items provided as well. They each also have a Blackstone Griddle for cooking in an outdoor cooking area. There is a parking area for guests' cars. The paths on property are well-lit, so there's no need to worry if you arrive in the evening. The owners live on property and are readily available to help during check in and check out if needed. Each treehouse has a private fire-pit with firewood and fire starter provided. Our treehouses are dog friendly with no additional fee.

The cabin is secluded yet easily accessible with any vehicle Kayak and Paddle board for guest use! Welcome to our cozy cabin in the woods offering privacy, an outdoor firepit and hot tub. All within minutes of unlimited outdoor recreation. Spend your time relaxing on the deck, visiting the casino or adventuring to the outdoors with hiking, biking, kayaking, whitewater rafting, zip lining and river tubing all nearby. The space Relax and unwind in the hot tub surrounded by tall trees offering shade and privacy. Off the deck you'll find a firepit for making smores and telling stories into the night. Enjoy a home cooked meal in the fully equipped kitchen or cook it outdoors on the propane grill. The open loft has a king size bed and the downstairs bedroom has a queen size. Both bathrooms have a shower/tub, one bathroom is in the loft and the other is downstairs. There are Roku TVs in the living room and both bedrooms. Kayak an inflatable stand up paddle board available for guest use. Finger lake is just down the street and as easily accessible for kayaking and paddle boarding. Guest access This is a private residence with no one onsite other than your group. You will have access the the entire home and outdoor space. There is a locked supply closet in the loft. Other things to note - The cabin is heated by electric baseboards as well as a propane wall unit in the living area - The A/C unit in the loft window cools the loft as well as the living area and there is a second unit in the downstairs bedroom, as well as ceiling fans in all the rooms. - No indoor fires - Please note this is a remote location and while wifi access is available it cannot always be guaranteed.
