Everything was as expected. Sites seemed well kept and the directions Michael sent were really clear. We had to leave early though because our rain fly was defective!

Weekend Trip to Harmony Glen

This was our first Hipcamp experience and overall it was a good one! June was a lovely host with a beautiful property that we enjoyed exploring with our kids. There is a grassy plot by the fire pit where you can pitch a tent near part of the creek. While it isn’t too far from June’s house, a tree line provides some privacy. The road is nearby and you can hear cars every now and then, but the sound was infrequent and not a big deal for us. There were lots of lightening bugs when we were there and the display was pretty impressive. Our kids enjoyed hiking in the woods and playing in the creek. June’s pups, Molly and Peaches were sweet and our kids loved petting them. Our only negative was beyond June’s control- there were some dogs nearby (not hers) that barked constantly hours into the night/early morning. This is probably not an issue with an RV, but we will be bringing ear plugs next time. :)

Great experience! There were so many unique camping spots to choose from on the property. We jumped in the small lake with the kayaks for an afternoon float. Both the distillery and barn restaurant were highlights (shout out to Ben and Eric!). The property is close to Chattooga rafting, state/national parks/forests, and only 20 minutes away from the bustling town of Clayton, Ga. Can't wait to visit again!

Weekend Trip to Gateway to the Smokies

Beautiful camping sites and well maintained. Even though it is close to the highway it is very secluded and quiet. Michael was an outstanding host, and we really enjoyed our time at his sites. The creek was a huge plus!

1 night at At the Ridge Camp-Riverside Escapes

Super sweet and helpful staff! Bed was comfortable, river outside the cabin was absolutely beautiful. The cabin as clean and adorable. So many things to do nearby! Reception isn’t great but there’s a community center right up the road not even half a mile with open network that works great and they do have a WiFi spot on the campground as well. The cell service was not even close to a deal breaker this place felt like a home away from home! We absolutely loved it!

This was about 5th year camping here for memorial day and it was great as always. We will be back for Labor Day!

I enjoyed site one next to The distillery in the heart of the farm. The Bistro was good and I got some steaks from "Bruce" at the farm store. By the time we left we had met everybody who worked there and they were all very friendly and helpful. We also enjoyed the area with all the things to do, including the Chattooga River and multiple waterfalls.

I loved camping at Harmony Hollow. It's such a nice place. The hosts are amazing and will help you with anything you need. I'll definitely be coming back in the near future.

My favorite part was sitting by the campfire listening to the babbling creek and watching the fireflies. This is a beautiful place to camp. It was nice to have the washing station and the shower. There are several nice touches - a basket of travel size toiletries, cute signs, twinkle lights.

Harmony Hollow is a nice pleasant camp very close to Sevierville and Pigeon Forge. The shower was also nice after a few days without one while overlanding.

Pitch your tent or set up your camper in the primary sites next to or near the creek. 360-degree views of the mountains with famous Cold Mountain and Mt Pisgah among the views to our South. There are two large fire pits for the chillier nights/mornings with a basic grate (only 1) to go over the fire for cooking. We can supply firewood, as needed, for a small fee. It's best that you request firewood when you book your site. We have access to clean water as well as flowing water in the creek. No portapotty at this time. Check out the pictures for other views. For hikers or mountain bikers: Chestnut Mountain Nature Park includes trails for both interests just 10-12 minutes away from the Farm. The Berm Park is part of this wonderful network of trails. There are also a number of other trailheads within 45 minutes of the farm to include Little Sam Knob Trailhead and the Art Loeb/Cold Mountain Trailhead off of Hwy 215 (for hikers) and Hard Times Trailhead in Asheville for bikers and hikers. We adore our land and do our best to preserve and care for the natural beauty around us. We are conveniently located minutes from Pigeon Forge TN. Home of and only 5 miles from Dollywood and 13 minutes from a super Walmart Incase you forget something . Only a short 30 minute drive gets you to the Great Smoky Mountains national park. I will be happy to share the scenic route . Greenbrier Tn. one of the first settlements here in the National park is only a scenic 30 minute scenic drive from the farm which will takes you through the arts and crafts community while avoiding the hectic hustle and bustle of town . While visiting Greenbrier you can find a picnic area near the river and an outdoor pavilion with a large grill for your special events located there . Several trail heads are located there in the Greenbrier community including Brushy Mountain trail Old settlers trail (several old settlements can easily be found here) Porters Gap trail. Living in Boone, this dream was definitely out of reach. When we began our search for a new home in the Asheville area, we discovered that the more affordable homes were in fact on the mountains. Perfect! In general I always have a pretty positive outlook on what’s possible, however, I was skeptical that we would ever find our dream home. As Jeannie began her Zillow browsing adventures, one particular cabin with acreage, that was outside of our budget continued to pop up. Jeannie would delete it and then it would come back. At some point the price began to drop, and drop, and drop. On our way back into town one weekend after attending a wedding, I convinced Jeannie to drive by the cabin just because we had the time. Immediately we fell in love and reached out to our realtor buddy. It was more of a shot in the dark but it couldn’t hurt, right? We held our breath for the next month totally expecting someone to get it under contract before us or the sellers not accepting our offer. It had already been reduced significantly so we knew our chances of a lowball offer were slim. We offered the most that we could get a loan for. They accepted! I still get anxious thinking back to that month, October 2014. Many years and two children later, here we are, just as excited everyday to make the long trek up our mountain as we were that August of 2014, and now we are happy to offer a similar experience to you, without having to buy the place. Just me and my wife, currently no pets. The other home is a small white farmhouse that I currently rent to close friends. Chris and his wife and two well behaved kids. The kind of neighbors' people dream of! In five years of renting this site I have only had one couple that felt uncomfortable with the homes on our driveway.
