Abundant wildlife including deer, turkey, opossum, raccoon, skunk - even the occasional bear, coyote, and wild boar have been caught on game cameras. Only 1 hour from Charlotte, Winston-Salem and Greensboro, yet feels like a world away. 30 minutes from the North Carolina Zoo and the Carolina Treetop Challenge at Rock Creek Park. Minutes from Historic Gold Hill, Tuckertown Reservoir, Uwharrie National Forest and Badin Lake. Tents only please; as the road to the campsite is narrow and. AWD or 4WD may be required during wet weather. Cars that are low to the ground are not recommended. We have table and 2 bench seats, fire pit, water, trash bin, toilet, a canoe and noodles to use at the pond site. My Neighbor has started his own Campsite, "The Swimming Hole". If mine is booked up and you still want to camp, look him up. His is better suited for small groups but has much more privacy. We have a new road to the campsite; you can now drive down with two-wheel drive vehicle or RV down and park near your tent! There is plenty of soft sand to set up one tent or ten tents; large groups are welcome for an extra fee. A Porta-Potty is available at the campsite. Swimming is usually possible at the base of the falls; however, large amounts of rain can change conditions and make it unusable. I should also add, this is not a completely private campsite deep in the woods. The camp is visible from a shared driveway, and my residence is up a hill that overlooks the area. Also, I do not own the land on the other side of the stream. Occasionally, the owners of that land will spend a weekend afternoon enjoying the waterfall view also. Still much quieter and more private than a regular campground. Glamping tents and additional camping tents are available through a local company. Look in the pictures for the tent with red, white, and blue balloons. Message me for details. Close to US National Whitewater Center (mountain biking, whitewater rafting, kayaking), Kings Mountain National Military Park (Horseback riding and history), Crowders Mountain (Hiking), 3 miles off of I-85 and US-321 for people passing through.

Great place for a getaway. I live locally and never knew that it was there after 40 years. Recommend bug spray for mosquitoes or citronella candles, for the time if season should be expected. Beautiful site with lots of room. Kinda secluded but there's a house and another site across the water. Everyone minded their business, just clean up after yourselves and everything should be a great experience. Clean porta potty. Highly recommend!!!

What an amazing getaway spot! The area was a lot bigger than anticipated, and the views so much better in person. The swinging benches looking out at the waterfall was great! So much to explore and many opportunities for play. Dinner on top of the waterfall was amazing. We had the pleasure of meeting Scott and getting a brief history lesson (I recommend asking if you see him). We also thoroughly enjoyed two visits from a heron.

We were a group of seven families. The place was absolutely fantastic and large for all of us to comfortably camp. It was maintained beautifully and the best highlight was the waterfall. Luckily for us there was rain last night so the waterfall had a lot of water when we visited everybody enjoyed to our hearts content. Would definitely recommend for others and we will plan another trip to this place.

This campsite was fantastic!! Very quiet and pleasant especially with the waterfall. The owner is very hospitable and very easy to speak to. Weekend Trip to The Farm at Long Creek

This campsite absolutely lives up to its name - Peaceful Easy Feeling. The whole weekend felt like nature showing off: dragonflies twirling around us, birds singing like they were in concert, and the lake buzzing with life. We spotted koi, fish, minnows, snapping turtles, and even a surprisingly cute little watersnake who was (quite proudly) having frog for lunch = front-row seats to the circle of life! Afternoons floating on personal rafts were pure bliss, evenings cooling off in the creek were refreshing, and nights by the firepit were perfection. Salem was such a kind and accommodating host, which made everything feel even more easy and welcoming. It all came together to make the weekend unforgettable — peaceful, easy and beautiful.

The camp is well aptly named. You absolutely get a peaceful easy feeling and it won’t let you down. Such a relaxing place to get away from the world. The pond and campsite were very clean and supplies, if needed, were only 10 minutes away. The dogs had an awesome time in and out of the water and the canoe provided was a nice bonus.

Yup, it’s that a good. It will make all other sites feel basic 😂 What a beautiful majestic spot! It feels like a hidden oasis. We loved the wildlife (we saw a Heron, a baby turtle, frog, toad, hawk, so many butterflies). The porta potty we clean and the fire starters were a helpful touch. We loved the swings too! During one day we hiked at Crowders Mountain State Park. It feels like you are deep in the woods without being too far from amenities.

This was our 3rd family trip to Scott's site, and I cant imagine we will break the trend anytime soon. It is peaceful, beautiful, feels private. We appreciated the addition of the gate for a little extra security. Scott is attentive ‐ fixed the grill within minutes and helped us to secure our time for next year too!

Very peaceful getaway for a few days from the inner City. I enjoyed the aesthetics of the land. .The waterfalls were majestic and calming a nice peaceful breeze of fresh air, that surrounded the entire campground's. Amazing.
