We are within driving distance to Lowe's Motor speedway and very close to many race teams located in Mooresville.
The downtown of Troutman is a short drive from your camp spot and there is a grocery store, drug store and many privately owned restaurants, including Italian, German and amazing fried chicken at Julia's! There is an ice cream parlor too!! Another wonderful asset to Troutman is Daveste' Vineyard where there is live music often, and of course wine tastings! This beautiful vineyard is less than 10 mins away.

My Neighbor has started his own Campsite, "The Swimming Hole". If mine is booked up and you still want to camp, look him up. His is better suited for small groups but has much more privacy.
We have a new road to the campsite; you can now drive down with two-wheel drive vehicle or RV down and park near your tent!
There is plenty of soft sand to set up one tent or ten tents; large groups are welcome for an extra fee.
A Porta-Potty is available at the campsite.
Swimming is usually possible at the base of the falls; however, large amounts of rain can change conditions and make it unusable.
I should also add, this is not a completely private campsite deep in the woods. The camp is visible from a shared driveway, and my residence is up a hill that overlooks the area. Also, I do not own the land on the other side of the stream. Occasionally, the owners of that land will spend a weekend afternoon enjoying the waterfall view also.
Still much quieter and more private than a regular campground.
Glamping tents and additional camping tents are available through a local company. Look in the pictures for the tent with red, white, and blue balloons. Message me for details.
Close to US National Whitewater Center (mountain biking, whitewater rafting, kayaking), Kings Mountain National Military Park (Horseback riding and history), Crowders Mountain (Hiking), 3 miles off of I-85 and US-321 for people passing through.

Update on Fire ban: I spoke with the forest ranger of Yadkin County, and You ARE allowed SMALL campfires for cooking and heating purposes only. No bonfires. Charcoal and propane grills are OK too.
Please respect our land by not bringing firewood from off-site and burning it here. We are a working farm that allows camping, not a campground. Our native trees and crops could easily be devastated by outside diseases or pests that are carried in firewood. We offer firewood for sale from our farm (delivered to your site for no additional fee). You do NOT have to purchase it prior to your arrival, and we have large tubs too!
Our STORE offers firewood, meats, eggs, Tallow, lard (both rendered right here!), drinks, Amish ice cream and jams/jellies/preserves, hammocks, hammock chairs, smoked dog bones, soaps (made right here), rentals of: cast iron cookware, a tent, Coleman stove, fishing poles, ... and MUCH MORE!
Please note that all our sites are reserved with a one vehicle limit. Some sites are large enough to accommodate additional vehicles but each additional vehicle will incur a $10 per night charge. Free parking for additional vehicles is located at the office/store.

My Neighbor has started his own Campsite, "The Swimming Hole". If mine is booked up and you still want to camp, look him up. His is better suited for small groups but has much more privacy.
We have a new road to the campsite; you can now drive down with two-wheel drive vehicle or RV down and park near your tent!
There is plenty of soft sand to set up one tent or ten tents; large groups are welcome for an extra fee.
A Porta-Potty is available at the campsite.
Swimming is usually possible at the base of the falls; however, large amounts of rain can change conditions and make it unusable.
I should also add, this is not a completely private campsite deep in the woods. The camp is visible from a shared driveway, and my residence is up a hill that overlooks the area. Also, I do not own the land on the other side of the stream. Occasionally, the owners of that land will spend a weekend afternoon enjoying the waterfall view also.
Still much quieter and more private than a regular campground.
Glamping tents and additional camping tents are available through a local company. Look in the pictures for the tent with red, white, and blue balloons. Message me for details.

Our native trees and crops could easily be devastated by outside diseases or pests that are carried in firewood. This was our first hip camp today and it far exceeded expectations! We got in late after dark and the host was there waiting for us. He explained exactly how to get to the site as well as what else was available there. The cookies were there waiting for us. They told us there’s hiking trails and they leave the nights on all night, long on the hiking trails so you can go whenever you want. There is an old sailboat in the woods that the kids climb on there were some rope swings. There was a giant field they could run and play. There were other campers there, but the sites are separated by a pretty good distance and you never saw anyone else. I have a lot of kids and I’m sure they were super noisy, but nobody complained. The kids said it was their favorite place they camped out so far!

Little improvements ongoing, they were bringing in flowers for spring while I was there :)
There was quite a bit of light pollution, so if you are looking for a truly DARK night experience this won't be it, but that being said the lit paths at night were delightful.

The Waterfall is beautiful. Scott was kind and helpful. The site is mostly sand so be prepared for that. The location is easy to find and access. It doesn't feel incredibly secluded with Scott's house being close by, but the beauty of the Waterfall helps overcome that.
I'd definitely recommend this site (especially for families) and would go again.

Sick spot!! The camp site was clean and the amenities - porta potty, grill etc were also clean. Falling asleep to the waterfall water was incredible. The sand at the site is soft and feels great on bafe feet :) Definitely a site we would love to book again!!

We were in need of a last minute stop between OBX to Asheville and Robert’s location was perfect for that. Robert greeted us upon arrival and let us pick where we could set up camp behind the barn in a grassy area. We didn’t realize we wouldn’t be able to camp next to the pond which was beautiful to walk around though. We have a rooftop tent and it was difficult to find a level spot. Rain would make for a very muddy time where we were camped so we got up and took off early to avoid the big rain moving in. We leveled our rig at 0/2 and slept soundly listening to the frogs croak and gazing at the start filled sky. Robert came and chatted with us a bit and was very friendly and shared his goals of building more campsites on his property. It’s very peaceful and gorgeous property. Thants so much for hosting us. Bring bug spray and fishing poles.
