A small homestead on the bank of Abbotts Creek near where it feeds into High Rock Lake. Peace and solitude , but close to the amenities of town. Less than a five minute drive to the grocery store, and less than a fifteen minute drive to uptown Lexington. Public access for kayaks is less than half a mile away. And the view is unbelievable!
We have a corn hole board and bags now available for use, as well as a few other yard games. Please let us know if you are interested in using them.

Beautiful country property surrounded by woods with a large creek! Enjoy small rolling hills with a canopy from old growth oaks and cedars. Take a short trail walk in the woods across the creek. Enjoy sitting on a peaceful porch swing overlooking a small creek and rolling hills, abundant wildlife with the sounds of birds filling the air. Picnic table and grill is located underneath the shade of large black walnut trees.
Great country roads with nice views of small local mountains, yet conveniently located near Greensboro, High Point, Jamestown, Thomasville, Archdale and surrounding areas. Come enjoy a bit of nature and peace while close to home!
**Please note: We cut down quite a few dead trees on the property and are working on removing them. Many are still lying on the ground. Also, the creek varies greatly in size throughout the year. We did not get a lot of rain over the summer so it has much less water than normal. Feel free to send me a message if you have any questions.

Hello! We are Jeremiah and Dori. Three years ago we bought a fixer upper on over 7 acres in hopes of getting out of the city, moving closer to family, and providing space for our kids to thrive and grow. The land you see is so different from where it was 2 years ago... everything was overgrown and there were trash piles everywhere. The more we cleared, the more we fell in love with the creek and the rolling hills. Our extended family even pitched in time to walk the property and pick up bottles and trash. We are far from done but we love seeing the progress made, hearing the birds chirp, relaxing by the creek and settling into a slower pace of life.
We have two creeks on our property. One is a small one that runs 6 months out of the year but dries up during the summer. The second one runs in various depths all year long. It's wide and shallow enough for kids to play. Our kids enjoy exploring, racing "boats" down the creek, building dams and sand castles, catching minnows, crayfish, and salamanders (releasing them again) and creating imaginative dinners with the mud "kitchen."
For those of you who love the outdoors at a distance or don't have the supplies to camp, keep watching our site for some exciting changes! Before too long we hope to add a permanent rv to our camping options.
We welcome you to enjoy our little slice of nature. While we only have 7 acres, it borders 100 wooded acres in the back and an over 900 acre farm across the road. It makes me smile to hear the occasional cow or donkey and I hope it will make you smile too.

Idyllic stay to get away. While not secluded, the beatiful view and charming farm sounds make you feel removed from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Our favorite activity was simply sitting on the porch watching the kids run in the field or talk to the sheep or donkey. The hosts fill the space with thoughtful personal touches, like picking baskets for herbs and fruit. There is plenty to keep you occupied as you slow down here.

The cabin and its maintenance were very well done. The contents inside this cabin were sufficient for the campers to spend days away from home. The view with animal farm and garden were the true beauty of this place. We enjoyed the bathhouse and the campfire. Picking up the herbs and figs was very relaxing. The hosts were friendly. the place had scenic view for couple photography as well! :)

Everything was clean and ready nice folks, just know if you want seclusion you should consider the deck they have for rent, the cabin is more in the front of there house, the pictures and description dont explain that well. I really thought the shower was off to itself but was attached to there home. Dont get me wrong the shower was great just wish it was by the cabin so it felt more private. After looking at photos closer I can see all these things. I would definitely return but would choose the deck as its a bit more intimate. The dock on the river was its own little nature reserve, beautiful birds and wildlife

We loved our stay at this quaint little cabin! We loved stripping back to the essentials and enjoying the property and the animals. If there was anything that we forgot, the host had it on hand! We loved giving treats to Jack the Donkey and laughed every time he cried when we walked away. We also enjoyed feeding the pigs our scraps. My daughter had a blast picking and arranging a small flower arrangement from the flowers on site. She also picked some herbs and we used them on our pork chops and potatoes that we cooked on the grill. The hosts were attentive and super friendly. We would stay here again if we had the opportunity!

Had such a great getaway at this site. The cabin was amazing, everything you could need. So much care and attention was appreciated. You don't need to bring anything other than some clothes and a few groceries.
The views were beautiful and the weather was great.
The bed was so comfy, I slept like a baby even with Jack hee hawing. 😄

This camp spot is so beautiful! The property has lots to explore, the cabin comes with everything you need so you can pack light. You can tell how much care and thoughtfulness has gone into this space. We loved meeting all the animals! The only downside is it’s close to a main road/highway so you easily hear the traffic. However, if you’re looking for somewhere close to restaurants, shopping, etc, this is perfect because you feel secluded enough but are minutes away from all of that. The owners were so kind and accommodating. Highly recommend!
