Teresa was a great host and has a lovely piece of property on the lake. the fhu campsite is a bit tricky to get into if you have a larger camper, but we did just fine. she met us at the driveway and walked us thru what we needed to do. we had a peekaboo view of the lake from the camper. the site was level side to side but a bit downhill. we had no issue getting level with our 28 ft tt. it’s a short walk down the hill to the dock behind her home.

We booked sites 4 & 5 for Easter weekend for our family of 4 and my parents. The property has so much natural beauty, and breath taking views no matter where you stand! Both river accesses offer different experiences for us and the kiddos! The bathhouse is so well maintained! Jud the owner came by every day to check on us making us feel right at home! I wouldn’t pass this gem up!!

Ms. Teresa was very accommodating with our 2 day trip to Lake Wylie. I would definitely recommend this spot for camping to disconnect from the hustle and bustle of life. Very peaceful and a beautiful spot. We were able to enjoy her dock both morning and evening. She allowed us to dock our boat as well. A++

Weekend Trip to Glamping With Amenities

We stayed here for a 3 day weekend. It was a really great experience. We fell in love with the property. We spotted a deer in the campsite when we pulled in. The boys loved playing in the creek and swinging on the tire swing. The fire pit was pretty handy with the pivoting grill on the side. The lights setup around the property made it even more magical at night. The location was ideal for us too. Maybe 10-15 cars went by all day while we were there. We also hiked a trail down the road near the Jellystone campground. The trail was super nice and maintained. All in all I would recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway.

Weekend Trip to Tellurian Family Campground

We loved camping here! Very quiet, private, well spaced campground. The owners messaged us morning of our trip to let us know our site was vacant the night before and we could arrive early. Definitely follow the directions provided and you won’t have an issue. There are multiple river access points which is very nice. The owner stopped by to tell us about watching the sunset from the ridge (on the property) and this quickly became the highlight of our trip. Gorgeous views and nice, clean campground!

Tellurian’s scenic location offers stunning vista views of the surrounding countryside, sprawling views of the South Mountain and Cherry Mountain ranges, as well as long range views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The sunsets are amazing and the star lit skies are uninhibited by city lights. One of the few lights that can be seen at night lights up a steeple silhouetted against the mountain ridges. After years of looking all over the mountains for a river property we could call our own, our favorite spot on the river came up for sale. It just so happened it was nearly halfway between where we both grew up. After many sleepless nights worrying if we could succeed or not (it was much larger than properties we had been looking for), we bought it! Our favorite spot on the river was virtually inaccessible by any way other than floating. But after hundreds of hours of hard work, we think we have developed a place where others too can enjoy the things we do about the property. We dream big and Tellurian remains a work in progress, but we feel we have created a place where folks can enjoy the peacefulness of nature, the river and incredible views. You'll be staying on our farm, which is a working horseback riding and equine therapy facility as well as a sanctuary for many other animals (including mini cows, turkeys, chickens, a pig, alpacas, goats, and a llama!) But don't worry, your campsite is surrounded by beauty and privacy. Enjoy walking through the woods, sharing a picnic while visiting with the animals, or just having relaxing in nature! We also sell farm fresh eggs by the half-dozen for $2, so you can cook your own egg breakfast if you would like! Our campsites are rustic. We do provide a port-a-potty on site as well as 7 gallons of drinking-safe water. There is a King Camp portable shower on-site, and we live on site at the front of the property in case of emergency. Each campsite has a fire pit, and a bucket of water is provided for safety. There is a convenience store and gas station 1/2 mile away, so snacks and fuel can be easily accessed. If you're looking for extremely quiet, we may not be the right fit, as our animals don't keep quiet hours so you may hear a moo or a crow at any time, but we think it's fantastic here!
