Just minutes from I-87 and the Lake George Region, our A Frame site offers a 120 square foot authentic A-Frame cabin with an open Adirondack Lean-to approach. This 1-4 person A frame comes with 2 to 4 sleeping cots, 2 hammocks (available) with hanging space inside or out and plenty of space to pitch a tent all around, tent included. Down by the runoff stream (sometimes there is no runoff!) you'll find a fire ring with a cooking grill and outdoor seating. Inside the A frame you're provided a lantern, gas cook stove, kitchen ware, food storage cooler and small table and chairs. 14 gallons of potable water is provided. There is a small corner loo inside the A frame with a flushing RV type toilet for the ladies and also a comfortable Adirondack outhouse with an ecological waste removing system. Although the A frame is UNHEATED, there is a small propane space heater available to take off the chill of a cool Adirondack evening. A 1 lb Propane bottle is provided. Additional Propane is available to purchase. This 5-acre quiet paradise is surrounded by on site walking trails where the only sounds are the owls and an occasional airplane. Camp TedRock is close to many popular Adirondack adventures including nearby Crane Mountain, spectacular Garnet Lake, Lake George, the Hudson River and many more. Top quality kayak packages are available upon request at an additional charge. As far as we know, this land has been occupied since shortly after the civil war.  It is actually two farms, combined into one around 1900. The main farmhouse was built out of the logs they cleared in 1879, and there are old foundations of the other original farm houses/barns as well.  All over the property (now woods) there are piles of stones that the original inhabitants pulled from the fields. The second farm house was built in 1901. Most of the total 240 acres were cleared pasture land at that time.  During the twenties and thirties the property was owned by an industrious couple from the City that lovingly turned it into more of a "rustic retreat"; damming a pond, planting ornamentals and upgrading the buildings.  There have been many owners over the years, but we are proud to say it has been with us the longest.  Our family bought it in 1961 and we have been trying to be good stewards ever since.  Come and visit our little patch of wilderness!

Weekend Trip to Reflections Homestead

My husband and I were looking for someplace quiet and private to relax and unwind. Karl lives on the property behind the cabin and welcomed us with a burning fire. Even with Karl on the property directly behind us, the cabin faced out into the forest and felt very private. We saw Karl one time when he stopped to ask if we needed anything. We came prepare to camp in a rustic cabin and were pleasantly surprised when we walked in to find we really didn’t need much. There was a camp stove and all of the cook wear and utensils, along with dishes, cups and silverware. Karl and is wife have really put thought into every detail. It didn’t bother us a bit when the nights were cold and the first night rained hard. We found a heater and Yahtzee game inside to keep us warm and content. I really can’t think of one way they could improve. Karl was very friendly. We didn’t get the pleasure of meeting his wife but maybe next time because we definitely plan to visit again. Thank you Karl.

I loved every aspect of Ted’s Land. A frame is amazing, spacious, comfortable and left us feeling very safe. Ted the host is great! You can tell he is super passionate about the outdoors. He gave us recommendations for areas that we would never have found on our own. I wouldn’t hesitate for a second to tell someone to visit on Ted’s Land. I look forward to planning another trip and sharing more stories with Ted.

Weekend Trip to Fall Water Farm

The cabin is secluded, cozy, and charming. Despite it being the snowy season, all the paths were shoveled and the heat inside kept us warm. Minutes away from the eastern coast of the lake and a short drive from Glens Falls and Lake George Village, the location makes you feel like you are in the woods while easily being able to grab a dinner in town. I thoroughly recommend this rental.

3 nights at Fall Water Farm

This little cabin was a nice retreat away from home for a few days. Having bedding provided was a nice touch and the bed is very comfortable. The parking is not far from the cabin (maybe 50-100ft) and the driveway was even plowed very shortly after a few inches of snow fell during my stay. There’s a fair amount of yard space available, great for playing in the snow this time of year, and the steam right outside the cabin door is a pretty sight and sound every time you exit. This cabin is also perfect for anyone who doesn’t like dealing with a wood stove to keep warm, instead a gas radiator controlled by a digital thermostat keeps the cabin warm exactly how you like it, a very surprising but much appreciated bonus I found out after arriving. Overall, this cabin was fantastic, warm, and cozy, and I would absolutely recommend to anyone looking for somewhat easy cabin camping in the winter.

A short walk down to the pond and into the pines and you’re suddenly unaware of reality or time… Truly a beautiful piece of land. Perfect little cabin with such character. A hot wood stove to keep cozy as the falling snow blanketed the silent forest around us. Comfy sleeping pads, lights, plenty of wood, delicious water, cookware and other supplies. Outhouse was so clean and honestly adorable lol!! Truly the peaceful escape I needed. I want to come back and experience what energy every different season offers, I’m sure they each offer magic.

Such a beautiful place for glamping! Took my boyfriend here since he’s never gone camping and this was a perfect “camping lite” experience. The bed was so comfy and had plenty of blankets for late October - and we also utilized the Mr Heater that was provided and we were plenty warm. Definitely want to come back for more than one night!

Cabin D was so sweet and charming. We watched the sunset over the field and in the morning watched the field brighten as the sun rose through the woods behind us. There was a small heater available, but we didn't use it. The cups, silverware, cloth napkins and coffee and coffee put were a perfect touch. I did bring my favorite sleeping bags (zipped together) so we were warm when we woke up to 36°F in the morning, but I am sure the blankets provided would have been just as cozy. It was so wonderful to be able to watch the world through so many windows. I will definitely be back in the future!

Camp TedRock is awesome! The site is beautiful, well maintained, and peaceful. There are lots of details that show the care put into the experience, like the extra cot, extra lanterns, a bag of kindling, and hand written notes on nearby mountains and lakes. We would definitely come back!

Such a lovely spot on a farm in the woods! The tiny house had plenty of blankets and a very comfortable mattress so getting out of the bed when it was 36 degrees was quite difficult. Our dogs loved running around the field just off the front porch of the house. Such a joy seeing them be so happy. :) We will definitely be back and hopefully with some friends in one of the other tiny houses.

We’ve stayed at sites B and D and they are both beautiful and cozy. The view and atmosphere is amazing, and the little bedrooms are extremely cozy with plenty of warm blankets. Being welcomed by Karl and Danielle and our path illuminated by torches was a new Hipcamp experience for us. They made sure we had everything we needed to be comfortable and made us feel welcome. They have trails cleared and Karl offered a lot of local tips and suggestions for the surrounding area and into the Adirondacks. The atmosphere, maintaining a quiet space, and providing private campsites are priorities for them and we very much appreciated that.

We had such an amazing time. The cabin was so cute and they provided a heater and build a fire for us to come into. We loved being surrounded by all the nature and it was so peaceful and calm. We went on a hike. we had great food and we just really enjoyed ourselves. It was a short distance up to old Forge for us where we had some stuff we needed to pick up And then when we came back, Carl had built us another fire to come home too, and it was just amazing. We listened to the owls and the squirrels and all sorts of other animals in the woods. Was so peaceful. We definitely would love to come back again

My buddy and I booked with Ted for a weekend hiking trip up to the ADK's. Coming 9 hours from pittsburgh after work on friday we got in super late/early saturday morning. Knowing our mid night arrival. Ted went out and hung glow sticks for us to help us navigate back to the cabin. Was unexpected and came in clutch! The a frame was perfect for our needs. The outhouse is in great condition. Beautiful property. Peaceful and well maintained. Will definitely be back!

We had a great weekend at Runamok! The cabin was beautiful and so clean. The view was unbeatable with the sunrise and sunsets over the mountains especially this time of year with the leaves starting to change colors. We stayed three nights and there were some nice essentials to help us make dinner each night (grate to put over the fire, gas burner to boil water, silverware set). The space was private and our dog loved being off leash with room to roam without worrying about him getting near the other cabins. Would love to come back!
