Easy entry off a quiet well maintained country road in the town of Conesville, NY. Sitting on 5 acres you will notice the beautiful views of the Catskill Mountains. Feel free to hike the entire property. Hike down the gorge approximately 80ft to the seasonal mountain fed creek. You will find massive boulders, and various artifacts as this property was once a mining operation dating back to the early 1920s. Be mindful of partially fallen trees on the hillside along the south end. It’s a steep hike down so get your hiking poles and good boots. The north end is an easier hike. If you find any cool artifacts they are yours to keep or just leave them and we will add them to the display for the new cabin. Check out the iconic ‘57 Chevy Bel Air halfway down the gorge. With your stay we are offering 20% off your cabin stay when it becomes available. 20 minutes to Windham, Minekill State Park and Bates State Forest(down the road.) The Milk Run is approximately 15 min away back toward the interstate. There is a dump station, gas station and they have great sandwiches for the ride home. So many great things to see, just ask. The camp site is as close to pure wilderness as it gets. No vehicles allowed. From an easily accessible parking space, it's a mildly uphill ten minute hike through magical meadows deep into a hidden mountain valley in the midst of 250,000 acres. Utter privacy. The only sounds being the wind, the birds, yourself, and Herdman Brook rushing along a few yards east of your site. The beauty of the site is that it's so pristine. This is not glamping. No cabin. No platform. Need tent, tarp, or hammock, and you will sleep under more stars than you can possibly imagine.
Fire ring, cooking grate, chairs, commode, water bucket on site. We may not sell wood this year but will provide cart.

Campers ought to be aware that black bears live in these mountains., although you're not likely to see one unless it's running away from you. If you're really nervous bring bear spray, but you're not likely to need it. I literally chased one off our porch not a month ago. Also, the nation is experiencing a tick explosion. We've done what we can but do come prepared.
I would appreciate your purchasing human waste bags from me when you arrive. I'll have them here for $3.00/bag. Feel free to bring your own. You should also bring FIRE STARTER to make your life easier.
Wonderful hikes - one to a waterfall - trail head at end of Spruceton Rd. Hunter Brook, Devil's Notch, Fire Tower atop Hunter Mountain, Ridge of West Kill Mountain.
Fishing holes abound.
West Kill Brewery and Spruceton Inn Bed and Bar each half mile up the road. Civilized respites.
4 campers preferred. 6 possible.
One more thing: DOGS. We have two: a 13 year old female whatever and a shepherd-husky mix, 4 years old, also female. They are quite friendly, although the shepherd looks intimidating, and both roam the property at will 2-3 times/day. We would prefer you not bring your dog, however, if you must, please be certain it is well behaved.

Our family dairy farm has been in operation for over 50 years on this hill. We are situated near the Madison/Chenango county line and among 4 homesteads we have access to over 500 acres; though only 70 are connected to this property. Fortunately less than a mile away we have “The Brookfield state lands”-Charles E Baker State Forest; offering 130 miles of equestrian trails. also suitable for hiking but cyclists need to stick to the “TT- truck trails” throughout, there’s plenty of mileage to explore within and wandering country roads for miles and miles around. We currently have open camping and depending on your preferences we can find a spot just for you. We have a substantial wood lot for the rustic folks along with plenty of flat ground for RVS. (If you park close enough to, and have a long cord electric could be available).

Weekend Trip to Little Duck Farm
This was my second time staying here and it was just as delightful as the first! The camper is cozy, clean, and well-equipped and the outhouse situation is even better now. A lovely spot to make a fire and hang out under the stars.

We had a great stay at Triple Creek! The view from the campsite is stunning and so peaceful and quiet. Stephen was communicative and very sweet when we arrived, and then gave us full privacy after check-in. Like other campers have mentioned, there is a considerable uphill walk to the campsite …a cart is a must, but it’s still quite a workout getting a cart up and your gear up there. We were there late October and the ticks were bad (mostly on the walk up/down)- we planned for it with long pants, boots, tick spray etc and were fine though. There’s a great brewery about a mile down the road and tons of really cool hiking very close to the campsite - we recommend hiking the West Kill Summit along Devil’s Path. Overall we had a great stay and would definitely recommend this site to other (prepared) campers!

Grateful for the opportunity to stay on Stephen’s beautiful, secluded, and serene land. Pack light and be prepared for a ~10 min uphill walk but it is SO worth it! The views are incredible: we watched the sun and moon rise/set with only the sounds of nature surrounding us. This is one of our favorite campsites: we will be back!

We had such a special weekend camping on Robert's land. Pictures don't do it justice. It is jaw dropping beautiful and very private. Robert is the best hip camp host we've ever had and we've used hip camp for years. He is reasonable, flexible, and very considerate. The outhouse is extremely clean, and he provides firewood for purchase, a fire pit, wash stand for dishes, and a wood countertop perfect for your camp grill to sit on. The location is primo with lots of cute little towns around and hiking trails right off his property. We are definitely making an annual trip here.

The valley was such an amazing place to camp at. The amenities were clean. There was plenty of distance between the sites to feel private. We will definitely come back to camp! PSA vehicle with decent ground clearance is highly recommended and there is no cell service once you drive past Phoenicia.

Tent site #2 at Balsam Gleann Meadows was a great campsite for my group. Located in the center of a huge field surrounded by mountains - what a peaceful spot! The weather was perfect, cool/dewey at night and sunny during the day. I imagine if it was super hot or windy, campsite #2 would be a bit too exposed. We had our own fire pit, the pit toilets were close by and had a hand wash stations, and the showers were clean and private. The drinking water was a bit far from the campsites, but you pass by when you drive in/out. I'd recommend bringing a jug to refill water. The host, Robert, came by to check on us a couple times to see if we needed anything. He also suggested some things to do in the area and we loved visiting Otter Falls at his recommendation. Overall, we absolutely loved our stay and would definitely camp here again.

Beautiful and well taken care of property with the mountains in the background - remote enough where you can feel disconnected, but still have amenities like running water, outhouse, etc.
Spent 3 nights and felt like we didn't need to leave the property - there were trails and a creek/stream nearby that we dipped our toes in. Owners are super kind too! Plan to come back again :)

This was our first time camping at this site and we absolutely loved it. The location wonderful - the campsite sits in a large open field and is a very short hike away from a large creek. Our kids had a blast exploring the creek and surrounding area. The site was very well maintained, organized and clean. The host was very responsive and helpful and gave us a great tour of the site upon our arrival. We loved our visit here!!
