It was a dream geat away was very nice right doen was a beautiful peaceful lake and it was surronded by wildlife its a great getaway escape from everything just didnt have any cell service but the rest was so nice the people were friendly david came once to say ho and bring wood was very nice person very welcoming place .

We were excited for our October stay but unfortunately had to leave early due to an overwhelming number of ticks at the site. It’s clearly been a tough season for them, but we found around 50 between our group within the first couple of hours, which made it hard to relax and enjoy the space.
The site itself is spacious, private, and thoughtfully set up. We especially appreciated the large table by the fire pit. It’s also nice and quiet, offering a good sense of seclusion.
That said, the listing gave us the impression the site was right along the creek, but it’s actually set a bit back, and you can’t really see the water from camp. The price felt a bit high given the amenities — for instance, the outhouse didn’t have toilet paper when we arrived (thankfully we’d brought our own).
David is clearly committed to the “Leave No Trace” philosophy, which we respect and support — just note that this means you cannot harvest dead wood from around the site. Firewood must be purchased from David or brought in from another source.
Overall, with some tweaks and perhaps a bit more clarity in the listing, this could be a really special spot once tick season dies down.

What a great spot David has! It was very private with so much room for everyone! There were six of us with three tents and three vehicles and there was room for even more than that it was a beautiful camping spot and we would definitely come back.

An oasis camp tenting on David’s land. The stream, fire pit, long picnic bench made for an incredible experience. We spent our days playing spike ball, star gazing, and taking some cold stream dips.

Amazing campsite with tons of space and things to do. It is only around a 25-30 minute drive to the Catskills Mountains and the bridge at the entrance of the campsite offers amazing views of the night sky.

David’s land is as advertised - private, pleasant with a good fire pit, lots of space and access to a beautiful creek. It’s a little closer to a road than ideal but there’s only faint and none in the nighttime.

Camping at David’s land was everything we expected and more! We had great weather and got to cool off in the creeks. We really enjoyed the creek and was the highlight of our stay. It was clean and cold and perfect for a hot day. Daniel was great at recommending what to do and communicating details. We really hope to be back! Thank you Daniel for everything!

This site was SO awesome! Huge enough that we could all pitch our tents far away from eachother like we each had our own little site. (3 Tents, small to large) Hung a 10x20 Tarp between the trees so we were dry from the rain for the first night's dinner. Up an easy dirt road,(VW Jetta made it with no problem and a jeep) and a big parking area at the site so if you bring a lot of stuff, like we did, it's not a problem! We had fun in the creek like little kids lol Easy mowed path to get down there, but a little rocky to get in.(It's a beautiful creek, not a beach, ppl! Lol)SO refreshing from the hot sun! David was super chill and informative. Came up once to meet us,(with"Cocoa"his dog❤️)showed us the easy path to the creek, and left us to enjoy the rest of our stay. VERY private site! We got 1 bundle of firewood for when we got there but planned on getting more day 2. Please get from local ppl. There are TONS you will drive past for sale for a great price. (We went during 4th of July) So not a problem when we had to go out in the morning. Outhouse was a nice amenity too. We practice "leave it better" and "leave no trace" and once you see the site, you'll want to too! We only found 2 old tent stakes and that's it, VERY clean place. Very close to hiking trails and the cutest little town. Big fire pit, and we brought our swivel grill grate and it worked perfectly. VERY long table right near the pit. Oh and the stars! 🤩Definitely coming back! Thanks for the best birthday, David!!

David’s land is super nice. The site is quite large, as is the fire pit. Group of 4, 3 tents. The bathroom was clean and well maintained. The large table was great for staging meals. The treeline provides ample space to spread out your tents and/or string a large tarp. (10x20)The views around the site are fantastic. Very close to lots of local trails. And we have priceless memories of a group of 40 year olds playing in the water like chiildren. Overall, our group had a great time and would recommend!

Amazing site! Very close to a variety of hikes in the Catskills as well as nearby towns for exploring. David is super down to earth, cares about conservation, and is an all around amazing host. We had a rainy weekend but still had a spectacular time. We will most definitely be back.

We loved David's spot and enjoyed every part of our trip. There was a perfect spot in the creek that we kept going back to, and the skies were full of stars on a clear night. It was a good amount of seclusion where you feel the peacefulness but know you're 10 minutes out from lively towns. Such wonderful memories were made on this trip.

Davids camp site was perfect with a large firepit, lots of flat space to set up tents and games, and a long tabke that was very useful for all the cooking equipment and gear. The setting is beautiful with an awesome view of the mountain across the valley. The small stream on the property was refreshing to dip in after a long day of fishing and hiking. There is no phone service at the site which we actually really enjoyed but you only had to go 5-10 mins down the road to get some service. Tons of hiking, fishing restaraunts and shops in the 3 small towns down the road. Highly recommend staying at this site!

Such an amazing camping spot. Site is very private and secluded. We met the host whom provided us with a nice warm welcome and some firewood to start off with. The fire pit was big enough to accommodate our group of 6 with plenty of room to spare, which was also perfect for cooking some steaks over the fire. We enjoyed a nice night walk out to the creek to do some star gazing both nights we stayed, absolutely epic. There is a giant table which came in very handy too.
This was my first time renting a site off Hipcamp and I can honestly say our entire group was satisfied and very impressed with the site. If you’re looking for a nice clean private camping spot, I would highly recommend this location.

Overall, we had a great experience. Gorgeous setting, decent outhouse, fun trails all around, the sound of the creek, and plenty of space with a huge table provided. It was tough getting to the creek to dip our feet in- VERY rocky and inconvenient but still beautiful. Also, the water pump is a walk away from the property and there wasn't any convenient way to handle our trash. The closest dump was 10 miles in the opposite direction for us. We knew about the lack of wifi and cell service going in, but be advised that you are 10 min away from town and even then it's not guaranteed. When we accidentally locked our keys in the car, David thankfully helped us alert the local police to help, but if he hadn't been home or answered the door, I'm not sure what we would have done. If all of that sounds OK for you, it's 100% a great choice in a beautiful setting to camp and I bet when the clouds are gone the stars look AMAZING:)

Our stay at T Spot Campsite was fantastic! We met David briefly when we arrived, and he was great—offered some helpful recommendations for our stay while our dogs made friends with his. The cold plunge in the creek was a refreshing highlight, and the tranquility of the site was perfect for relaxing and unwinding. The nearby hikes were beautiful, and the lack of cell reception allowed us to fully disconnect. It’s a wonderful spot for anyone looking to enjoy nature in privacy. Highly recommend!

An amazing, clean spot, with plenty of space to fit 10 to 15 people. David was accommodating, respectful, and welcoming. We had a water creek accessible to us a few feet away, a large wooden table with placing our stuff which helped tremendously for prepping and cooking food, and only about 10 to 15 minutes away from any local grocery stores. I would highly recommend this to anyone who wants to disconnect and camp, and I would definitely return again.

Great spot. The long table was great for holding gear and cooking meals, and there was a lot of field space to set up tents. A cold plunge in the creek was a highlight, and David helped in offering some tips for hikes in the area. Would stay again! (Bring your tick deterrents—we found a few, but not many!)

Private space, beautiful creek. Would camp here again. The creek may have been lower than normal because we could hear a bit of traffic noise, but it seems the creek usually covers up the traffic. We found a few ticks throughout the weekend so just be aware and wear deterrent. The fire pit was incredible, as was the big opening in the trees for star gazing. A large table made it easy to prep food and hangout. Dave came by to check in but allowed us our privacy. I would come back here again!

Loved it!
Just a 2-hour drive from the metropolitan area and I was in another world. Quiet, peaceful. The location is simple to find and a few minutes drive form the village of Phoenicia: which has everything you need. Vast area all to myself; with the nearby creek constantly whispering. And then, the night skies!!! Absolutely astounding.
David is a gracious host. I would return to this camp site just for another chat with him. He is passionate about nature and he cares a great deal for the site and the natural surroundings. He introduced himself a couple hours after I arrived on Friday to answer any questions. And he came back on Saturday evening, with a forecast for freezing temps, to make sure that I would be warm enough. That is good people.

David’s land is gorgeous and perfect for a secluded campsite near some great trails. He was a great host, super friendly, and very accommodating to my boyfriend and I. It’s just down the road from the town of Phoenicia making the location perfect in case of emergencies. We will definitely be back!
