This was built as a personal vacation retreat and we gladly share it now with adventurers and romantics! 40 Private Acres - Fire-pits, comfortable outdoor furniture, and plenty of room to roam will make this unique stay memorable, relaxing, with absolute privacy with stunning views. The bespoke wooden Tower boasts 360 degree views of the surroundings. It is built on piers and has windows on the perimeter. A large table, outdoor chairs on the 2nd Level platform is an ideal space for gathering or picnicking. The 3rd enclosed level is furnished with a built in brand new queen bed and long custom built-in couch with a bar table and 4 chairs. Small fridge and Fan on site. No Bathroom in Tower. The Cabin is fully equipped, applianced, and is furnished with a Full Bed in the Loft, 2 Twins in a Trundle Daybed, and a Cot and Blow Up are available. Full Kitchen, Shower, Toilet in the Bathroom. There is electric heat, AC and a ceiling fan. Kitchen is fully loaded and there are plenty of clean linens, blankets, and pillows. The 40 Acres are Pastured and Open but Wooded all around in every direction. There are no cut trails at the Retreat and as it is thickly wooded, we encourage our guests to come visit us at Slateville Farm where we have over 8 miles of our own trails, swimming holes, and our ever flowing cold spring. Enjoy any of the many national park trails within the Green Mountains or Adirondacks. Lake George, Merck Forest, Schroon Lake, Lake St. Catherine, Bomoseen are all nearby as well as the Battenkill River and the Mettowee for fishing. If you are a winter visitor, plenty of ski resorts are a little over an hour away like Stratton, Bromely, Okemo, or Killington to name a few. Come by and visit us down the road at Slateville Farm to enjoy our fresh produce/eggs, over 8 miles of private hiking trails, and numerous swimming holes. Firewood Pre-purchase Delivery Available! Our Family has owned this property for over 60 years. Jim & Sue spend their summers here. Our son recently vacationed at some great glamping sites around the country and had a vision of creating one on our property. We are excited to share the experience of what camping in this historic region of the Adirondacks is all about. Black Hole & Dunkley Falls campsite is located on an 80-acre old Adirondack farm. The Mill Creek runs along with this property, which features access to the scenic Dunkley Falls & The Black Hole — a cavernous geological anomaly. This famous swimming spot is a perfect place to test your nerve with a backflip off its 20 ft cliffs or just take a leisurely swim in the naturally formed glacier pool. Like to fish? The Mill Creek is also stocked annually with over 3000 brown & rainbow trout. All of this is just a short walk from our property. Onsite: Two Canvas Wall Tents (16ft X 14ft ) and Outhouse. We had a great time staying at Bruce’s property. It was private and our dogs had a blast. Well maintained property near a pond with lots of birds and hardly any bugs. We enjoyed the beautiful cabin, fire pit, and grill provided. We would love to visit again!

This cabin was fantastic! What made it even better was how friendly Bruce was ! It is so cozy, the outhouse was spotless and the cots were roomy and comfortable! Bring your own cot pads for extra comfort and lots of blankets. The view of the pond from sitting in the Adirondack chairs was perfect for just enjoying the afternoon reading a book. I didnt do this trip solo but as someone who loves to travel solo I would 100% feel comfortable as a solo female staying here. Super super private! Just an all around great experience. Sadly we now have our own private cabin to stay in close by so I probably wont be visiting again, but if I didnt I would absolutely be coming back. Thanks again !

Our family of six had the most amazing time camping at the Black Hole and Dunkley Falls campsite. The tents and accommodations were spotless, comfortable, and far exceeded our expectations. The Fords went above and beyond to make our stay special—bringing us warm water for showers and even surprising me with cupcakes for my birthday. They truly think of everything, making it a completely carefree glamping experience. We loved exploring Dunkley Falls and jumping into the Black Hole, both just a short walk from camp. We also spent a day whitewater rafting and tackling the Adirondack Extreme Adventure Park—there’s so much to do in the area! We can’t wait to come

Amazing! 100% recommend. My son and I went white water rafting nearby and found this amazing site for two nights of camping. Absolutely everything has been thought of and it is clear the owners have invested significantly in making this an idyllic spot. The kitchen area is fully stocked and the tents are extremely spacious. Being able to drive or walk down the road to the Black Hole was a highlight. The owners were kind and hospitable and I would recommend this to anyone. Perfect location for family or friends gathering.

Everything you need is truly provided. Sue and Jim were great hosts making sure we stayed comfortable. Our two dogs loved running around the property. Sleeping in a canvas tent with a real mattress (king size) was awesome for my pregnant (3rd trimester) wife!

Amazing location! Very secluded and private. Perfect for dogs. Took paddle boards on the pond and got to see the huge koi fish that lives in there. So much wildlife around, even the fireflies were mesmerizing. Will definitely be back!
