The fall, cool crisp days and changing leaves are just a few short weeks away. NOW is the time to book your experience with us. Enjoy rustic camping on our 115 acres of upstate NY forest. We are just a short drive to Cooperstown, the Baseball Hall of Fame and the summer baseball camps as well as the other museums that it has to offer. Howe Caverns in Cobleskill is also about 30 minutes away as well.
The property consists of a mixture of upland hardwoods (mainly Oak, Maple and Cherry) with scattered stands of Red Pine, White Spruce, Hemlock and two open fields/pastures. There are also the occasional conifers scattered about just to keep things interesting. The majority of the property is gently sloping from the South up towards the North. The is also a nice ridge on the NE corner of the property to aid in topographic diversity. One of the fields is a seven acre hay field and the other is a five acre food plot planted in clover, chicory and other grasses. This field has also been recently planted with Apples, Pear, American Plum, Red Osier Dogwood, Persimmon, Red Mulberry, Chinese Chestnut, and Hazelnuts. These are all young at this time but will start to provide diversity and wildlife interest in the coming years.
Wildlife abounds here at the homestead. Whitetail Deer and Eastern Wild Turkey are very common to see. We also have a variety of small animals as well such as Red and Grey Squirrels, Raccoons, Porcupine, Opossum, Fisher etc. For the birders, we have Barred and Great Horned Owls and Red Tailed Hawks. It is also not uncommon to see Bald Eagles soaring over the fields looking for their next meal.
All of the property is easily accessible via our extensive trail system. There is also another 187 acres that borders our land that also has trails that would allow hiking. We have detailed maps so that getting lost would be the least of your worries.

Relax at Tilden Hill Farm its a 155 acre farm raising Black Angus Cattle it has been in the Brewer family for seven generations. Founded in 1798 by Josiah Brewer, the farm has served as a grist mill, chicken farm, cheese factory.
We offer several types of site selection for your comfort. Choose from our private tent camping to relaxing RV sites. Our tent sites are quiet and scenic, just a quick walk down to the pond. Jo: is a great person and very strong one at that to be so independent and self-sustaining, I mean what a cool individual, and her work ethic is top tier. She was kind enough to take the time to show me the local Amish market and took me to the church that her and her friends are working on and it was really impressive! Papa Joe's pizza was her recommendation for the local food spot and I have to agree that the Pizza was pretty incredible. It was like $8 for 2 cheese slabs and a drink. Mohawk, NY is nearby and it has a lot of historical significances and there is a cavern nearby and a diamond mine.
The land: was really nice. It's almost the only treelined property in the entire area because most of the properties are amish owned and operated farms. If you want fresh unpasturized milk on tap it's just down the road! YOU WILL HAVE TO HIKE TO CAMP as a disclosure, but once you get there it's well worth it and feels very secluded.
I will definitely visit again and I highly recommened Jo and her land if you're in the area. She's yet to rent out all the sites at once so let's make that happen hipcampers! If you're worried or concered she won't be able to accomodate just reach out and I'm sure she will accomodate you. The toilet is a composting style and you will need to bring your own privacy tent or take it down trail. She has egg krate style wagons for you to haul your gear from the parking area to the camp sites.

The apple grove site was so cute and cozy. Great setup and really appreciated the layout of the paths, communal amenities, etc. The trek to the falls definitely required some real skill and isn’t something I’d recommend except to seasoned hikers with COMPLETELY waterproof boots (and maybe waterproof pants too, the river was knee deep at some points). Definitely not a “relaxing” nature walk but well worth it for the falls and a great exercise.
A highlight was definitely Leona the Calico who was so friendly and sweet and kept coming back to us all weekend. We loved her company and she was a great little hostess to top off our experience. ❤️

When I’m here all I can think of is free ranging horses in Ireland. The property is picturesque and the horses just as beautiful, being greeted by horses in the morning and as well around the camp fire was quite the experience. Ed and Lisa are wonderful hosts providing homemade syrup, firewood, and eggs. I can’t wait to return, if you have kids or a horse lover in the family this stay is for you! Bonus points for having a ports potty on the premises!

We enjoyed our overnight at Bisaccia Botanical Garden! The drive to and through the area is beautiful and once we arrived, Mark showed us where to go. The farmland is pleasant and quiet. The bathroom was in great shape and a welcomed option while we camped in our Scamp. We would recommend staying here to anyone looking for a quiet get away. We just did a one night stay but with more nights, I’d love to try some of the local fishing which isn’t far away. Thanks Mark and we hope to see you again!

I would recommend staying at this Beautiful location. I’m traveling mid-April and had the whole place to myself. Be sure to watch the sunset over the pastures, take a walk along the stream and relax at the boat house. Owners have obviously worked hard to make this a memorable place.

3 nights at Waterfall Sanctuary & Quiet Retreat
The cabin was the perfect size for my fiancé and me! We enjoyed cooking over the fire pit and hiking down to the river and waterfall. It was quite cold while we were there but the space heater really did the job when turned on to max for a couple hours, we even had to shed a couple blankets! Would definitely return, especially in the warmer months to cross the river and see the waterfall up close. The only heads up is that the bathroom is a short walk up a small hill to a port-a-potty. Amy was helpful and the directions were clear! The free kindling was much appreciated.
