Spring, Summer and Fall are the best times to come for a visit. NOW is the time to book your experience with us. Enjoy rustic camping on our 115 acres of upstate NY forest. We are just a short drive to Cooperstown, the Baseball Hall of Fame and the summer baseball camps as well as the other museums that it has to offer. Howe Caverns in Cobleskill is also about 30 minutes away as well.
The property consists of a mixture of upland hardwoods (mainly Oak, Maple and Cherry) with scattered stands of Red Pine, White Spruce, Hemlock and two open fields/pastures. There are also the occasional conifers scattered about just to keep things interesting. The majority of the property is gently sloping from the South up towards the North. The is also a nice ridge on the NE corner of the property to aid in topographic diversity. One of the fields is a seven acre hay field and the other is a five acre food plot planted in clover, chicory and other grasses. This field has also been recently planted with Apples, Pear, American Plum, Red Osier Dogwood, Persimmon, Red Mulberry, Chinese Chestnut, and Hazelnuts. These are all young at this time but will start to provide diversity and wildlife interest in the coming years.
Wildlife abounds here at the homestead. Whitetail Deer and Eastern Wild Turkey are very common to see. We also have a variety of small animals as well such as Red and Grey Squirrels, Raccoons, Porcupine, Opossum, Fisher etc. For the birders, we have Barred and Great Horned Owls and Red Tailed Hawks. It is also not uncommon to see Bald Eagles soaring over the fields looking for their next meal.
All of the property is easily accessible via our extensive trail system. There is also another 187 acres that borders our land that also has trails that would allow hiking. We have detailed maps so that getting lost would be the least of your worries.

I live off grid in one of the toughest climates in the US. I have about 15 acres of land bordered by 10,000 acres of wild forest preserve. Locals refer to this area as The Hill because of its unique weather anomalies. I share my experiences with campers in good weather but exist here all year. I am a Qualified NYS Woodland Guide. My actual license is pending the processing of fees and registration. This should be complete by August 1st of this year. I have over a half century of knowledge gained through a lifetime of hiking, exploring and living in this environment. My main focus is the land, lakes, ponds and streams in the lower Adirondack Park. I leave the high peaks, ice climbing and white water rafting to others that choose that speciality. My goal in guiding is not that of a just a follow me and listen guide. I strive to help those interested in learning about and enjoying the outdoors safely so that you take away real life skills you can use once we are done. I did search and resuce work as a volunteer for many years under DEC Forest Rangers. To help contain costs l will allow up to groups of people to participate at one time. Also. If you would like Amish made products, l can arrange that as well. There is a very conservative Amish community in the surrounding area. I consider these people my good friends and l am very familiar with their customs, traditions and lifestyles. Many people are now thinking of doing what we have done. Relax at Tilden Hill Farm its a 155 acre farm raising Black Angus Cattle it has been in the Brewer family for seven generations. Founded in 1798 by Josiah Brewer, the farm has served as a grist mill, chicken farm, cheese factory.
We offer several types of site selection for your comfort. Choose from our private tent camping to relaxing RV sites. Our tent sites are quiet and scenic, just a quick walk down to the pond. Host was very communicative both before and during stay and upgraded us to Tent Site 2 (said it was better than the one we'd booked - and he was right!). Wonderful property with plenty of separation from other campers; quiet, save for some road noise from adjacent roads. The Market was a charming amenity (we got eggs that we cooked for breakfast and they were super tasty).

My girlfriend and I stayed here in June 2023 when there was only 2 or 3 sites and have always wanted to come back, it was so worth it. There are more sites now so a little less privacy then the first time, but that didn’t bother us much as we knew it was a possibility going into it seeing they had added more sites.
The site we stayed at both times (apple grove) is great for bare bones tent camping which we wanted to do, but the red barn, sink, and porta potties really make a difference in comfortability to our usual bare bones tent camping trip.
The waterfall is the real star of the show so to speak and what a star it is. It’s basically you’re own private waterfall, you may see a couple of other people, maybe more in the summer at certain times of the week/day as locals use it as well but both times it was very quiet and we basically had it to ourselves for hours, it’s so peaceful and calming and once you’re there you can see why it’s sacred. Thank you Amy for another wonderful stay!

Loved it here! I camped in the woods and Todd was so hospitable. It has just rained and the forest was lush with mushrooms of every color. An evening hike was a highlight, and I appreciated the water jug, table, and fire ring. There’s even a clean, enclosed composting outhouse a few steps away. Highly recommend!

We loved this experience! The land/area itself is gorgeous and very easily accessible. It’s a very short walk to the barn/porta potties. The amenities were off the hook, we were able to borrow a canopy, a huge water jug (that we were able to fill with the hose!) a shower bag, access to a fridge/microwave, clean porta potties, and even a wheelbarrow to help transport all of the stuff! At the site there was firewood (albeit wet from the storm), a grill rack, a picnic table, another table and metal chairs, a shower nook, a few solar lights and new tiki torches. Wow is all I can say. It feels like the hosts are people who actually enjoy camping as well as community. Actually, the whole town felt very community driven, everyone was so helpful and warm.
The apple trees were so nice :) Our dog absolutely loved the waterfall, as did we! The rope swing was my favorite part, and my boyfriend made nachos by the main fall! The hike is a little difficult, but nothing you can’t handle if you’re generally an outdoorsy person and trust the rope! There is a dollar general and a supermarket within 15 mins away that had a lot of stuff we ran out of like tiki torch fluid, dry firewood, groceries etc. There is a gas station/convenience store with a subway attached to it (I forget the name) that has a clean public restroom. There’s also plenty of farmers markets in the area but we unfortunately did not have the time to check them out. Get yourself some hiking shoes and book this place.

The views at the campsite are stunning and the entire area is like a little paradise. Amy gave us a tour of the stables and we got to meet the resident horses, kayak in the pond and she also left some treats for us from the bakery that were unreal…they were so good we stopped at their storefront on the way home for some more. We had an amazing time and hope to make this campsite our spot for our annual camping trip from here on out. Would leave 10 stars if we could, can’t wait to come back!

Staying at Tilden Hill Farm was a great experience. I didn’t realize the bike trail was there until I arrived and it made me miss my old mountain biking days. If you love mountain biking, I highly recommend. The countryside views are beautiful, the location feels peaceful and scenic, and the host made everything easy and welcoming. The site and facilities are well kept and thoughtfully set up, too—everything felt comfortable from the moment I checked in. I’d happily stay here again.

We had a wonderful stay at Tilden Hill Farm and site M was perfect for us. The campsite was peaceful, well maintained, and a great place to relax. Our family loved the goats! We also loved exploring the bike trails through the woods-they were a great way to experience the whole property. The little farm market was another favorite with fresh items and products from the farm that made our visit even more special. The farm has a welcoming atmosphere, and it’s clear that a lot of care goes into creating a great experience for guests. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet getaway with a little extra charm!

We had a great unique experience camping on Lisa’s horse farm. It was majestic and the horses were friendly. Lisa was very helpful finding us the perfect place to pitch our tent.

Very cool site with walkable layout and amenities that will help you feel at home regardless of camping style.
The tent sites are bounded by sap tubes -- tent campers should expect to stay in their site and the provided trails rather than being able to wander directly into the woods.
Was a great first experience booking a site on this app! Highly recommended.

Weekend Trip to Reflections Homestead
The campsite is so cute, the fire pit was perfect, the cabin was also great! Very clean! I expected to see spiders inside the cabin and I don't think I even saw 1. Karl was very kind and welcoming. I even loved being greeted by the two goats as we were packing to leave. Wonderful experience!
