A fire pit and benches await your nighttime enjoyment of the solitude and stars. We encourage you to walk and experience a true "backwoods" experience, but we will drive you down in our Utility Vehicle if needed. A ping pong table is available in the barn/workshop if people would like to play. We also have pollinator and vegetable gardens and chickens, and we produce maple syrup in the spring. If guests are interested in workshops on carpentry, food preservation, foraging, gardening, bread baking, and kombucha-brewing, they should let us know a WEEK in ADVANCE. We also offer spiritual direction and Enneagram exploration/typing conversations. There is a dock, fishing, picnic table and deck, and fire pit, you will have the entire area to yourself and can set up camp whenever you would like. No running water or electricity. Very close to Tabora Farm, Hickory Hollow winery, and Glenora winery, and just a 10 minute drive to Watkins Glen. This is a former school campus with several dorm buildings. The school has closed and the owners are trying to reimagine the property and put it back to use. It's a beautiful setting but don't be surprised to see the large dorm buildings! ;-)

Beautiful site and host very communicative. The only “set back” is that once you’re on the property, the grass road to get to the site is a bit narrow so some of the branches from the growth to the sides of us scratched our cars a bit. Outside of that, it was just what we needed to get a way for a little bit. Great view of the stars on a clear night if you walk a little up from the site to the small open area.

We had such a wonderful birthday trip on Tommy’s land and in the surrounding area. Our site was the hilltop overlooking the rolling hills on one side and the forest on the other. It was perfect! Very private although the other site down the hill wasn’t occupied. They are spread apart quite a ways and both have picnic tables and fire rings. Tommy and his wife, Laura, both very nice and generous hosts, brought us plenty of free wood for our stay. Upon check-in, he greeted us and was very hospitable, offering suggestions for area must-sees for scenery, parks, wineries, food etc. They do offer usage of a flush toilet and sink in the end of their house, if desired. We’re pretty self-contained campers and didn’t utilize them. The property is very neat and clean in a rural area. We especially loved seeing the horse and cows each day as we are both originally from small farming towns. We would highly recommend this Hipcamp to anyone wanting a serene getaway with beautiful landscape and gracious host. Was a perfect trip! While you’re here, check out the Chimney Bluffs on Lake Ontario. They are super cool!

The site is very nice, with Adirondack chair setup (two singles chairs, a table, a double with a table, a 2-3 seater swing, and a picnic table that could probably fit 8 people). There is a fire pit with grill, a pit toilet (that was very clean), and the owner left us some firewood. The site is pretty, and overlooks a steep drop off. Its not too close, but I have a young daughter, and had to stress to her the severity of the situation, and then roped off a boundary. We hiked walnut trail, and walked back along hemlock lake. I was told there are better trails, but this one was super close. This is close to OSB Cidery (which I recommend) and there’s a winery nearby, which we didn’t make it to. The campsite is ver scenic, and if I hadn’t brought my 4 year old, I could have stayed onsite and read a book by the fire the whole day.

My friends and I had a really nice time staying at this site. It was perfectly spacious. Flat grounds for our tents. I brought my pups and they had a perfect amount of space to roam around. And good trees to put a line up to attach them to. The wooded chairs and swings were soo cute and comfy to relax in. Justin met us to bring some firewood down. And greeted my dogs too which meant a lot!
